  • Outstanding Condo with incredible ocean sunset views

"Outstanding, modern condo with terrific amenities. The 3BRs/3BAs were spotless and well appointed. With 4 adults, there was more than ample space for privacy and communal living. We would rush back every night from our adventures to have our own happy hour and watch the sunset. The pool is cleaned daily and we used the pool a couple of times. I highly recommend this unit (and the building) for others visiting Tamarindo. When renting in this development, customers should be aware the road from 152 (the main street in Tamarindo) is not paved (a short 2 block walk), although the entire condo unit is paved (with brick accoutrements) and is very secure."

  • Peaceful Paradise

"We found this condo the perfect place for us. It really is ideal for two couples and we loved everything about it. The ground floor was actually nice and convenient to the pool and BBQ (which we used frequently). We didn't miss being on the top floor having an ocean view. We felt almost like we had a private pool as it was never busy, we always managed to find lounge chairs when we needed. The condo itself is extremely spacious and well equipped (aside from perhaps a few kitchen tools and another lounge chair on the patio) and we found it more than adequate for our 12 day stay. We really liked the location in the area as well, close to all the beautiful beaches up and down the coast as well as the activities we wanted to do and the towns of Tamarindo and Santa Clara weren't too far away. I enjoyed all the wildlife we saw (and heard) but a bird feeder would have thrilled me to enjoy watching with my morning coffee. Barbara was always willing to answer questions and make suggestions and the grounds were immaculate (thanks Rudy). We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home base to enjoy Costa Ricas beauty and culture from. Iquana, Gekko's, Birds, Dogs, Howler monkeys, Lizards, and Giant Grasshoppers made exploring the area around the condo lots of fun (not to mention the amazing, diverse beaches closeby)"

  • Didn't Want to Leave EVER!!!!

"We booked a family vacation for my husband, my 13 year old daughter and myself at the Sea Shack. We had a great time here. The owner Anne was so very helpful in recommending restaurants, surfing lessons, beach visits, yoga and shopping. She made our trip easy and stress free. Thanks Anne!!!. The house is beautiful and exactly what we wanted for a true Costa Rica experience. We loved the outdoor area and kitchen and used it often. We are both Chef's and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. The pictures of the house are exactly what you get with the bonus of two great dogs to look after things while your away. The beautiful sandy beach is a pleasant 5 min walk from the house so we would go down early in the morning to catch the surfers and spend the first part of our day playing in the waves,. Then go down again at night for the most beautiful sunsets. Don't forget to cool off in the great salt water pool at the house. It's a great way to get out of the high sun and relax with a drink. People were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is safe and well looked after. If your into yoga their are several options for classes within walking distance from the house. The Nosara Yoga Institute is a short walk down a jungle path and worth a visit even if your not going for a class. We had a great time here and didn't want to leave. I highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed if your looking to get away from it all and live like a local for a while. Pura Vida!! We would go back for sure."

  • Perfect family spring break

"Casa JJ was a perfect destination for our family spring break. It has private access to a gorgeous stretch of beach that was never even the least bit crowded. Within a short walk, you have access to several retaurants, a local convenience store, and surf lessons. Down the beach you can have one of the water taxis to take you across the estuary to Tamarindo, if you want access to more shopping and dining options. The house is well kept and comfortable. We spent most of our time out on the beautiful patio, where we often watched a local family of howler monkeys. The kids loved having the pool, which was immaculate (it was cleaned daily, which couldn’t be said for several other pools we saw). Jorge and Jessie met us at the home personally when we arrived, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing beach vacation with access to more entertainment options not too far away, you can’t do better than Casa JJ."
