"WOW!! The views of Potrero bay from the penthouse suite were magnificent!! Mike & Irma are truly wonderful people. Breakfast every morning was a culinary delight. Mike's knowledge of CR and passion for its flora and fauna were immensely appreciated by my husband and I.
We can't wait to return to the "Twin Dolphins" in 2016.

"We spent a week in this home as part of a family vacation. The home was easily large enough to accommodate our family of seven (two adults, five children). The backyard was a fantastic place to kick around a soccer ball, to lay in a hammock and read a book, or to just enjoy a private view of the ocean. The beach was literally just outside the back gate with Playa Flamingo to the left and Playa Potrero to the right. The surf was mild enough to not worry about the kid's safety, but big enough for boogie boards and even some attempts at learning to surf one day. Playa Conchal is a short (~10 minute) drive away and offers crystal clear water with great snorkeling opportunities.
The hidden benefit to this property comes from the two Dominican caretakers of the home. Perla takes care of the inside of the home and even does your laundry while you are out having adventures. If you make arrangements with her, she is happy to cook meals for you for MUCH less than you will spend eating in restaurants! When Perla learned that our anniversary would occur while we were there, she prepared a surprise for us by scattering rose petals on our bed, lighting some candles, and having soft, romantic music playing in our bedroom when we returned from a day at the beach...
Cody, her cousin, takes care of the yard and outside of the home, and he also acts as an activities director/guide if you are interested. He took us fishing from the local marina and snorkeling at several locations. He spent time teaching my kids to surf, and playing basketball with them in front of the house. Perla's five year old daughter was shy when we arrived, but we invited her to come play with our younger children about the same age, and by the end of the week, she was calling me Tio (uncle). We left feeling a strong friendship and gratitude."

"This was our first visit to Costa Rica as a family of two adults and two teenagers and we absolutely loved every minute of our holiday. This villa was an excellent choice right from our first contact with Tom who was knowledgeable, courteous, patient and helpful. Saioa met us on arrival and she was also an absolute pleasure to deal with making every effort to ensure we were happy with everything and enjoying ourselves instantly. Sylvia, the maid who attends to the property, was probably one of the happiest people I've ever met and would brighten up anyones day. The other reviews given of the Playa Potrero area are absolutely accurate IMHO so I won't repeat them. I would say that this villa is ideal for any family with any age of children (bearing in mind the pool is easily accessible) or for girls groups as you can be as relaxed or as active as you choose. We liked having the hire car to explore the area (although some drivers might find some of the roads very challenging especially the 20km unpaved road from Liberia to Rincón de la Vieja volcano, saw one other car the whole way!) but we were equally happy chilling by the pool or enjoying the beach. If you've spent the time reading this far give some serious thought to this villa before we book it again!"

"The villa is lovely and in a beautiful setting with a view of the ocean. It has every amenity you could need including a small pool. Close to (10 mins walk) wonderful quiet beaches.
We saw monkeys and iguanas from our villa and a five minute walk away could watch pelicans feeding in the ocean.
The villa is three floors and we enjoyed having all that space. If you have really young children or have difficulty with stairs, however, it might be a challenge . We have kids in grades 4 and 6 so it was not a problem and it was nice for them to have their own space and floor.
Yes, monkeys, dogs and roosters could be heard but with Air conditioning on at night it wasn't issue.
Villa owner was very helpful with directions and suggestions for sightseeing.
We'd definitely return."
