"The villa was wonderful for our family of four. I loved having two bedrooms so the kids didn't have to share a room with us. The common area is large and kitchen has everything you need to do some cooking. The market around the corner had more American products than the Super Sized one in Tamarindo so check that one first if you are looking for something familiar (assuming you are American of course - LOL). With only six villas in the property the pool was always free for a dip which was nice in the afternoons when the beaches were a little too rough for our little ones. The owner was delightful coming by twice in the week. We really enjoyed working with her as everything went smoothly. My only surprise was that the villa only had air conditioning in the bedrooms and not throughout. Not a deal breaker for us since sleeping was the time we needed it most but just sharing for others."

"As much as we don't want to say how wonderful this place was we have to express that is was amazing! The condo is furnished perfectly and a family could easily stay here. As a couple we enjoyed the space and our favorite was the balcony overlooking Portreo Bay. Flamingo beach is a walk away and is more secluded than we expected. There is a charcoal grill on the balcony for grilling a meal. The location is perfect to drive to beaches around Portreo Bay and finding less inhabited beaches south of Tamarindo. The condo is situated in a larger condominium establishment with a refreshing pool and excellent staff. Our only recommendation is to switch out the shower heads to provide better water flow! We will be back with our kids to enjoy this great location!! Escape the allure of an all inclusive and cook breakfast in a fully equipped kitchen!! Thank you for opening up your space! We loved it!!!"

"Congratulations! If you are reading this review, you have just made the best discovery you will ever make. My husband and I found Casa Doshack four years ago, and we have returned for longer and longer stays each winter since that time. It is truly a perfect little cottage in the midst of a tropical paradise.
Located directly on the quiet end of a long, beautiful beach, Casa Doshack has been (and will continue to be) a wonderful place for us to relax, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful break from our busy lives at home. Here is a sample of our typical day at Casa Doshack: We rise early and take a run or walk on the approximately 1½ mile beach, which is nearly deserted at sunrise. Then we drink coffee and visit as we sit in rocking chairs on the veranda, which looks out over the ocean. We spend the mornings reading or writing or taking pictures of the exotic wildlife, which surrounds us in the beautiful garden. We usually go for a swim in the ocean or take another walk along the beach. Then we prepare lunch in our fully-equipped kitchen and eat at the big table on the veranda, or we wander down the beach to one of the many restaurants in Tamarindo.
After lunch, we have time for more reading or we take a snooze in one of the hammocks in the lanai on the edge of the property overlooking the beach. Sometimes we go on an excursion in the afternoon, or we stroll into town to pick up groceries, visit the Farmer’s Market, or shop at the many boutiques and gift stores lining the streets of Tamarindo. We always make time for another swim and another walk. At dusk we make our way to the beach for a view of the gorgeous sunset.
In the evening, we prepare dinner on the grill and dine on the veranda or stroll along the beach one more time for dinner at a restaurant. We look forward to settling into our comfy bed where the sound of the ocean and the feel of the breeze lulls us to sleep.
Kathy Doshack, the owner of Casa Doshack, goes out of her way to take care of her guests, arranging activities and transportation and offering great advice and information. Her cheerful housekeeper Illeana keeps the house in order and will cook wonderful Costa Rican meals upon request. The friendly gardener Manuel entertains us as he maintains the pristine garden.
To give an adequate description of the virtues of this wonderful place would take many more paragraphs, but you really need to experience Casa Doshack for yourself to understand its magic."

Perfect accommodations, for both rest and adventure!
"Mel's beach house is truly an oasis. Right on the beach within a beautiful cove, the views from the back porch and second floor patio are so serene. The beach is clean and quiet, perfect for lounging or a nice run. The water was amazing, and we took advantage of the less crowded waterfront to swim and kayak (provided by Cody). The house itself is spacious and meticulously clean. My favorite feature was the lenai and the many hammocks, perfect for napping after playing in the water. The housekeeper and house chef Perla is a true delight. She kept everything spotless, grocery shopped with us, and cooked us delicious, healthy, local cuisine. Cody helped us with logistics and all the extras, parking, planning our excursions, kayaks, etc. and even built us a bonfire! He was so wonderful and took excellent care of us. As for our excursions, we listened to Me's suggestions and he never lead us wrong! Our trip was incredible and left us hoping to plan a trip back soon!"
