"We are two couples that rented the downstairs villa at this property and we highly recommend it. The house was exactly what the pictures show and more. The property was easy to find and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. They owners live on site which was great as they were very helpful with making reservations at local restaurants and letting us know where the best places to visit were. Maritsa the housekeeper was fantastic do give her an extra good tip as she deserves it.The house was very clean and comfortable and the pool was our saving grace on those hot days. The beach was fabulous and Sid and Dawn will let you use the beach chairs and boogie boards so take advantage of those and relax on the beach. Howler monkeys, exotic birds and iguanas around the villa are a sight as well. Rent a car and see all the beautiful beaches that are around Flamingo, but we found this one to be our favorite. Do make a trip to the arenal volcano and To Playa Del Coco for happy hour and Maryisol for dinner. This was one of our favorite vacations spots and we will definately be back. Thank you Sid and Dawn and their dogs for sharing your home with us and making our vacation one of the best. Jeff, Connie, Dan and Julie Williams Lake, B.C. "Can't beat this place for the money. Owner (Kenny) and manager (Rosa) are very nice people. And the people in Costa Rica are just so nice, service everywhere so friendly, you just want to give them your money. For the price of a meal at a less than mediocre chain restaurant in the US, you can eat wonderful fresh food in Tamarindo- I had the best fish tacos, best scrambled eggs, best pizza, best chicken wings, best fruits/vegetables, I've ever had anywhere. Only minor downside was no chest/dresser in bedrooms to unpack, and it's maybe a quarter mile or less walk to the beach/restaurants. I would definitely recommend this condo to a friend."Guest: Eastbound and Down Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 2, 2014View listing
"My family of 6 had a great time at the condo, and would highly recommend it. My husband and I, and our kids, ages 4 through 13, loved the pool and the beach nearby. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation."Guest: Hannah C. Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 3, 2013View listing
"Our family of 12 (6 kids aged between 13 and 7, 3 couples) spent Christmas at Playa Garza. The house was perfect for our needs: comfortable, friendly, a great beachfront garden with outdoor shower and unique direct access to a beautiful beach. I was nervous about the sleeping arrangements but it worked out perfectly: 4 girls slept in a room with 2 queen beds, the 2 boys slept on bunks adjacents to the living room, and then there were 3 rooms for the couples that included the owner’s apartment which had a balcony, TV, fabulous view of the ocean. The house has a lot of character, it is nicely decorated and is well appointed for cooking, and feeling at home. The bathrooms worked well, there was hot water, and were very nicely finished (2 full baths in the main house that we were sharing among 2 families of 5, and the apartment had its own bathroom). Eliza and Greta the housekeepers were unbelievably helpful (I speak a bit of spanish), kept the house clean, prepared us some lunch and dinners and even prepared fish that my sister in law caught earlier in the day with Eliza's brother. Before we arrived Ginger did the groceries for us, it is important to specify sizes as most items are purchased in large size. We did not run out of food! It was awesome, no shopping while we were there. The location of the house is in the center of Garza, a fishing village of 100 people. The main road is right by the entrance and there are neighbors and ambient village noises. Across the street there is a small corner store, a church, a bar and a little place where you can get Vitamix made juices. So it was the real Costa Rican village experience, we loved it, we were not looking for seclusion in a golf course. A 10 minutes drive away from there was the Nosara Yoga Institute, surfing at Playa Guyones with Agua Tibias (these guys took all 10 of us surfing everyday), zip lining with Miss Skynopy, and the exceptional Nosara Monkey Refuge (you need an appointment to see baby monkeys rescued by Brenda Bombard). Amazing, amazing vacation. To top it all, Ginger coordinated for us fireworks on Christmas day -- the most beautiful fireworks on the beach!"Guest: Sylvie L.
