  • Great place to relax and enjoy Costa Rica beach

"My 23 year old son and I wanted to have an exotic adventure together and we are so glad we found Casa Pastor! It was even more beautiful than the pictures, clean, open and gorgeous. Since it was only my son and I we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms, but it would easily handle much more. Everything we needed in the kitchen, boogie boards, umbrella (we arrived at the start of the rainy season, but it was gorgeous in the mornings and most afternoons). Alex and Carol, thank you for sharing your paradise with us, I will be back with my wife next time (and maybe some of our other children). David, your care as the property manager was tremendous, helpful, friendly and always on-time. Thank you for helping us by phone when we got flat tire on the way to Miss Sky zipline."

  • Beautiful

"The views, the house and the playa are amazing!! This getaway is perfect for all kinds of trips with all kinds of people. The main house is equipped with the best pool ever, this is where we spent most of our time while in the house. Anything you are looking for, restaurants, beaches, activities, can be located about 15 minutes away. The groundskeepers are a very nice family that live on the property but away from the main home, they keep everything looking great and clean. There is enough room in the main house for 6-7 people, the guest houses fit maybe 4-6 more in total. This would be a great Group vacation spot!! All in all my experience at this home was nothing short of amazing."

  • perfect!

"Villa Mirador is exactly as described—if not better. Mary-Ellen, the owner, is absolutely amazing. She was extremely helpful, organized, prompt, friendly and passionate about her properties. The on-site manager, Daniel, was very helpful as well. He does not speak English—so be prepared if you do not speak Spanish. Just ask Mary-Ellen questions ahead of time. The house has everything you should need—even a crib for our little one. The views and pool were amazing! We spent several late afternoons relaxing in the pool and patio area. There were (3) bedrooms downstairs and (1) upstairs. Air conditioner worked great in the rooms; however, there is no ac in the main living areas. The house is designed to be an open concept which for the most part does not require ac in the living areas. This particular home is probably the smallest in Samara Reefs; however, it is off on its own providing you plenty of privacy. If you need a little more room (5th bedroom) I would contact Mary-Ellen about her other property in Samara Reefs. Daniel actually took us over to view it and it was amazing. Very large pool—you could do laps in it and the house is a little bigger. Villa Mirador was perfect for our party of 6 adults and 2 kids. Samara is a very nice beach town with friendly people and plenty to do and several great restaurants. I would recommend a car—we picked up our car rental from the airport. With traffic it is 1 hour and 40 mins. Without traffic we did it in 1 hour 15 mins; however, I did the drive 4 times in a week so I was very familiar with the roads. Overall this property is truly amazing. The only small little issue we had was the light drapes in the bedrooms. Our 3 and 1 year old woke up super early each morning which caused for some long days! I would absolutely come back to Samara Reefs and stay at Villa Mirador again."

"I went with two other couples for the first time to Costa Rica in May, beginning of the rainy season... which out of 8 days, only one rained! We all heard of this beautiful rain forest country, and can only imagine what was waiting for us... Well, not only is the country beautiful, amazing beaches, water temperature was perfect, the people were so welcoming, delicious fish... but this house was perfect! Cozy, walking distance from the beach, a yard in the back that had from monkeys, to horses (wild free happy ones), to iguanas... Close to the little town of Samara. We were able to cook fresh fish, or relax in the hammock at night... I would never prefer to choose this house over any hotel in the area! Can't wait to come back, and I will!!!!"

Samara Travel Tips

Half Moon Bay and Samara Beach Rentals

Unpretentious splendor awaits you when you book Samara Beach rentals. To characterize vacations in Costa Rica, words like "tropical," "paradise," "sun," "sand," and "fun" have to be used because it has it all. The small village of Samara is located on Half Moon Bay in Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. Costa Rica is split into provinces that each have their own capitals, which vary in size and attractions like Guanacaste Province. Samara is one of the smaller locales on the Pacific Ocean for the entire family.

The Playground of Samara Resorts

Water in the bay is relatively shallow for wading and swimming. In fact, it is the best playground for younger children because the waves are also small as they reach the shoreline. Children can spend the entire day steps away from Samara resorts building sandcastles and snorkeling with tropical fish, while parents join in the festivities. Scuba diving trips from Samara beach rentals are possible as is boat diving. Most vacations in Costa Rica are all about the water and beach, but they does not have to be.

Canopy Tours on Vacations in Costa Rica

Vacations in Costa Rica can also include canopy tours, hikes into the rain forest, or shopping. The canopy tours begin in early morning as the dew is still settling over the mountains and the wildlife is just waking up. On your way up to the top of the canopy, you can expect to encounter a few Howler monkeys and other animals. Hiking along the trails by the rivers will provide views of waterfalls and other forest creatures like snakes, butterflies, and chameleons. At the end of the day, you can return to Samara resorts to watch the sunset on the balcony while you eat dinner.

Grilling at Samara Beach Rentals

Samara village has a disco, a few bars, and plenty of late-night entertainment. Whether you bring children or not, you can enjoy the nightlife of Costa Rica. If you want a home-cooked meal, Samara beach rentals have barbeques, fully equipped kitchens, and plenty of space to make a real Central American dish. You also have the option at Samara resorts to have an all-inclusive package that includes your meals.
