  • Fantastic location with beautiful accomodations

"Villa Sonita was wonderful for our family of four and our friends (a married couple). All of the rooms were very clean and the AC in the bedrooms worked quickly and effectively. The outdoor seating around the house and the pool was great to enjoy the jungle setting. We had a blast in the pool and it was an easy walk to the beach with our surf boards. Awesome week of surfing with Chorotega Surf school and Graciela Lopez cooked her wonders at the house. The property management at the Harbor Reef was very responsive, friendly and available. Villa Sonita was more than we dreamed of and the perfect spot to relax."

  • Beautiful Condo & Great Host

"5 adults and 2 young children spent a week in this condo and the accommodations were superb. We enjoyed the ocean view, the nature right outside our door, and the amenities of the resort. The owner went beyond what we expected in helping us get comfortable and was available for assistance. The free shuttles to the pool & ocean area were easy to arrange through the concierge. In all activities we did, inside & outside the resort, the service was superb. I'd highly recommend this condo & resort to anyone looking for the comfort of a home while on vacation."

  • Beautiful views in Playa del Coco

"Stayed here for three days, and I have to say- it met every expectation and more. The community always felt safe (although we didn't see many people-understood since it is the rainy season), and the views from the house were exquisite. We really enjoyed waking up and having breakfast and coffee on the back porch overlooking the pacific ocean. Had a relaxing swim in the pool one morning. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the Beach Club (although we did drive by), but it looked fantastic. One thing to note as we travel light and typically walk every where- you will need some sort of transportation. Most people visiting seemed to have rental cars, but we prefer not to drive- easily solved by renting a golf cart for 3 days in Coco, and we were easily able to get around Coco, travel to Playa Ocotal etc. All in all, an excellent stay, the pool was beautiful and such an asset, we enjoyed the privacy and serenity of our home and have already begun planning our return next year. Since VRBO requests: We ate at: Villa Italia (expensive and hard to find, but worth it- be aware they only speak Italian and Spanish) Father Roosters (a short drive away, had an awesome day there- beach bums bar/café) Le Coq (tiny restaurant on the main stretch, unbelievably good and cheap Mediterranean food) Zi Lounge (not bad, but typical tourist menu/bar food) Coco hotel restaurant (expensive, very limited menu, no local food- not bad if you're looking for a taste of home but avoid if you're looking for local experience) Papagayo seafood (great meal, reasonable prices, highly recommend the bisque) The property was quite clean and in very good shape, owner was very responsive- generally answering our questions by email within the hour (and many times even faster than that)."

  • Traveling with Toddler.

"We stayed at Casa Randy's for 5 nights but wish we could have stayed longer! Playa Avellanas is a very special place and this house is in the middle of the beautiful jungle. You can lay in bed in the morning and look out into the tree tops and hear the howler monkey's in the distance. The caretakers on the property are really helpful and kind and it was nice knowing that he was there to help with anything if we needed it. The house is spacious and has a great dining and living room perfect for cooking up the fresh fish we bought from the fish truck. We travelled with our 2 year old daughter and she loved every minute!"
