  • Beautiful sunsets over the ocean viewed from the veranda of this well-appointed home!

"Luxury, comfort, space, privacy and lovely decor await the next guest. The manager, Katrin, truly catered to our needs and cared for us. It was peaceful, tranquil and serene. Since it is off the main road, it offered adventure in sights and sounds. Nosara, a town with fabulous beaches is not far away. Surfing, boogie boarding and swimming were a short 45 minute drive away. Turtle sightings are less than 30 minutes from the site. For those who want to stay close, they have their own beautiful black sand beach, Playa Azul, just steps away from the home. Some like to fish there. Arrange communication before you arrive as the internet and telephone are not available. And you must have a car."

  • Beautiful Penthouse!!

"We recently visited Tamarindo with our 4 children. Bob was very helpful, answering my many questions prior to traveling. They set up our transportation to and from the airport and two tours for us. I can't say enough good about the concierges, Juan and Sebastian. Juan took us to the grocery store upon our arrival and was more than happy to assist with anything that we needed during our visit. The penthouse condo was lovely! It was very spacious and perfect for the 6 of us. It is very well equipped! We cooked many meals at the condo and found everything that we needed. The air conditioning in the bedrooms could have been better, but the main part of the condo stayed cool. The front of the condo faces a dirt road that can be a bit noisy at times. Even though it's the rainy season, there had been no rain for weeks and the the road stirred up a lot of dust that did cover the porch and filter through into the condo, making the floors a little dusty feeling. The bedrooms look out to the preserve, which is beautiful and very quiet. We even had the pleasure of seeing a howler monkey play in the tree just a few feet from the balcony. The kids were thrilled!! I would definitely recommend the penthouse for the view!! The hot tub in our unit had no heat, but the jets did work. We did two tours, the Mega Combo, which was lots of fun for everyone. My only disappointment was that the hot springs that they took us to were not natural, like we thought they were going to be. We also did the snorkeling and kayaking tour, which takes you to a beautiful area, but I would not recommend for smaller children, as they cannot gear up for snorkeling in the kayak, while in middle of ocean. We would have been better off just renting them at the beach club. The Beach Club was great! Beautiful, quiet beach and pool area, nice staff, great food! Being given access to the Club with the rental of this condo is definitely a huge plus! You don't need to rent a car, but if we come back we would, especially with the kids. I think we would have done a lot more if we had our own car. We felt very safe in the area and the security at the condo was great. Also, the water was safe to drink! The condo has a very good filtration system. This was a big relief to me, as I was a little worried about that before arriving:)! Overall, our trip was great; penthouse was wonderful and would definitely visit again in the future! Thanks so much to all the staff at the Ibis!"

  • Exceptional

"A minor disadvantage to the wonderful setback which does not allow building on the beach at Nosara is that you tend to be "in the trees" with little sense of the sky. This elevated condo allows enough openness from your balconies to see all: sky, moon, stars, trees, and birds. This stylish modern, up-to-date, villa was very important for creating a perfect week in March. While crime is very minimal (we walked back to the villa in the dark many nights), the fact that the villa was near the end of the street up a short hill with a guard and a dependable safe freed us to enjoy ourselves. The 10-minute walk to the beach was just right. The owner took care of us in every way without overdoing it. He gave great advice for getting from the airport to Nosara, renting a vehicle, and activities in the area. There was a very minor problem with one bathroom drain and it was fixed immediately. Nosara is not fancy, not a Westin Resort town. We came because we wanted to be laid back, walk/run the beaches twice a day, enjoy the local food, drive the coast each way, and do a few local activities. While the town is full of expats and tourists, it give more get more of a sense of the pura vida (pure life). Drive north and walk on endless beaches by yourself (unless the turtles are coming ashore). Take the local river kayak or SUP environmental river tour with a great guide. Thanks for your help in making our vacation exactly what we had hoped for."

  • Live the Pura Vida

"This condo truly is a gem! Centrally located on the pacific side of Península de Nicoya. Everything is done just right. You can tell right away coming up the driveway from the front gate that the property is very well maintained and secure. The condo itself is is big, with three bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, living room and a dining room. There is a lot of room for a big family or a group of friends. My Girlfriend and I were totally blown away when we opened the front door to find that we had landed in such a beautiful home. We couldn't believe how nice it was and the fact that we were going to be using it as our base of operations for fun and adventure in the Península de Nicoya really set the theme for a perfect vacation in this wonderful country. We had so much fun spotting wildlife like Howler Monkeys, tropical birds and a dazzling array of butterflies. We often had the wide open beaches to ourselves and to top it off when we did seek out company the people of Costa Rica and even the tourista's were the best! We loved our time in Costa Rica and highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle/bustle and enjoy the real Costa Rica."
