  • Beautiful condo, great location

"This condo met all our needs and more. The unit was very clean, organized, and well decorated. Each bedroom has its own bathroom plus an extra half bath which is a bonus. We liked to eat breakfast home and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. The wrap-around porch was amazing with a great table and seats for plenty of lounging. The staff at Ibis could not have been more helpful. From setting up the rental to airport transportation and excursion planning, everyone was wonderful. There is always someone at the front gate which is great and he even called taxis for us when it was raining. The cleaning staff was professional and did a great job, as well as the staff at the front desk who helped us plan tours and even took us to the grocery store one afternoon! When the weather was nice, we choose to walk the quick 7 minutes into town. Ibis is such a great location. You are literally across the street from the beach and a quick walk into town. The beach club across the street (access is included with the rental) was also amazing. We took a work out class there one morning and used the beach facilities almost everyday. One afternoon it was raining so we watched one of the football games at the tiki bar there and had a great time. This condo is beautiful, has a ton of amenities, best location, and I would highly recommend it! It is definitely my first choice when staying in Tamarindo!"

  • Hate packing to leave!

"We arrived last Saturday to this Costa Rican Utopia and don't want to leave! Hacienda Pinilla is a waterfront area just south of Tamarindo. The beach club is great for drinks during the sunset and dinner. There is a golf club and a stable. The JW Marriott is on the property offering a pool and several restaurants, in addition to a gift shop. I suppose you never have to leave the compound. This Villa is perfect for our family. There is plenty of room to stretch out. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 up and 1 down. There is an upstairs livingroom/tv area. Downstairs is a large living area/dining area/kitchen. The kitchen is decently equipped for a quick meal. The unique feature to this Villa is there is a great view of the Pacific from the back of the house; Not all of the Villas have this view. Across the driveway is a pool and gym, which we all visited daily. The entire family has really enjoyed this Villa. There is a great woman who runs the Villa. She is a wealth of knowledge! Restaurants, activities, doctors etc! I had a few questions for her before we arrived, and she replied quickly! Some other things that might be helpful: There is a grocery store in Tamarindo that has anything you need. You need a car to get around. The Costa Rican people are so genuinely kind and helpful. Most speak some English but really enjoy it when you try to speak Spanish! We try to eat off the property: the Marriott has very expensive food with mediocre taste. The beach club at Hacienda Pinilla is really good! Witches Rock surf camp in Tamarindo has a great restaurant, eat at Joes, where you can sit near the beach and eat some great food! Best meal we had. Volcano brewery is near there also. Lola's is walking distance from the beach club, and easier to walk than drive if you are able., and has some great food! It was a great house in a great place with terrific people running it. We are sad to leave tomorrow, but know we will be back!"

  • Great Place! pura vida!

"A perfect blend of a quiet secluded street and 2 blocks from everything! We spent 2 weeks, one with kids and grandkids(14 total) and needed 2 rooms next door at luna llena, and one week with 3 other couples. Very comfortable and we could have spent another week and still not been bored. Like everyone else we spent very little time indoors. Bob and Iris were great! We usually never want to go back to an area for a 2nd time, this place is the exception."

  • Wow!

"Nobody mentioned the SHOWERS. Imagine coming "home" after a long, hard day at the beach, where you have spent your time choosing between swimming in the ocean, floating in a winding, blue-tiled pool, lying in the sun or lying under the shade of overhanging trees. The decision-making has been so difficult, you needed to wash down the beach club's tuna tartare or grilled calamari with a Pura Vida or other iced drink. You force your sun-drenched body up the stairs and into a "garden shower," one whole side of which is unwalled--open, except for cloaking trees, to the twilight air. My husband and I thought we had died and gone to heaven--only to realize when we went back out to the nearby Seasons Restaurant, paradise had more in store. Our stay, thanks to the homeowners' diligent efforts to make their place beautiful, comfortable and in every way convenient, was seamless."
