"My family of five stayed at this property in July 2014, and had a great experience. the home itself is very high quality...everything is solid and works well. My only complaint is that the home is almost too solid! The doors are heavy and very nice, but when you're sneaking out of your room and don't want to wake your spouse, you have to close them very gently else the sound of the heavy teak may disturb them! We went to Tamarindo primarily to surf. There's not a great break at the beach directly in front of the home, but if you go up the road toward Langosta, there's a parking area and a trail down to a decent break. The little splash pool seemed a bit hokey at first, but we used it everyday. they kids had fun in it, and it was a great way to cool off quickly or rinse from the beach. Also, the quietness of the patio was real serene...my wife and I enjoyed sitting out there and relaxing. There were some issues when we stayed there, but they were negligable at best. But the reason I bring it up is that the response to the issues was great! And that's really what you want...responsiveness. Problems are going to happen, as they do nearly everyday. But what sets apart people and services is how the problems are responded to. For example, the wifi wasn't working when we arrived, and it wasn't an easy "call the ISP" issue. The company had to actually do some work out on the street to get the wifi functioning. But in the interim, a smartphone was provided to create a personal hot-spot so we could connect to the internet. It was a quick and creative solution while the bigger problem was being corrected. Last comment: The concierge service was fantastic! Sebastian was friendly and insightful and went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He gave us some "locals only" tips on beaches...but you have to be super-cool like us to warrant that level of service! If you want a nice, comfortable, quiet place that's away from the touristy area, this property is it!"Guest: SMV Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 5, 2014View listing
"I stayed here with 3 others for 4 nights. I wouldn't pick anywhere else to stay, even after seeing all the other houses nearby. The views were priceless. A short walk uphill takes you to the tallest point of Tamarindo which was awesome for sunsets. The interior of the house was very authentic, clean, comfortable, and homey. As part of renting a house (as opposed to a villa or hotel room), we were worried that we wouldn't have all the services and amenities; however we were provided everything we could ask for and more: Upon arrival the property manager, Hans, met us at the house and drove me into town to show me where the ATMs and best places to go were (this was before we had access to a rental car). He couldn't have been more helpful. We were also put in touch with Margarita, who organized a full day of activities for us and even cooked dinner at the house one night (upon request). She was great-- we told her what kind of activities we wanted and she put together everything and had further ideas for us, such as setting up masseuses to come to the house for massages. The awesome local couple and their young son who live near the house provided maid, cleaning, laundry, and security services. They would see us coming up the hill and open the gate to the house for us every time with a big smile. Also, the morning of the day we left, they cooked a Costa Rican breakfast for us which was simple but by far the best breakfast we had the whole trip. Then there was Layce, the "guard dog." What a sweetheart she was. We couldn't get enough of her company. There were added bonuses that weren't mentioned in the listing description, such as an electric, full-body massage chair in one of the rooms. Another bonus (I think is mentioned briefly in the description) was a large, outdoor, covered bed that was perched behind the house; it casted an excellent view of Tamarindo, the ocean, and Langosta. Book your stay at Casa Catalina and you won't be disappointed. There's nothing we would change about it!"Guest: A Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 1, 2014View listing
"My daughter, her boyfriend, my husband and I were fortunate enough to stay in this lovely house for ten days in January. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen equipment and all of the appliances are top of the line. The upstairs bedrooms are comfortable and private. Each bedroom has a lovely bathroom with an enclosed outdoor shower. If you are lucky, you can watch monkeys and exotic birds in the trees as you shower. We enjoyed the well kept grounds and used the pool every day. There is maid service, and the pool man/ gardener cares for the grounds each morning. My husband and I especially enjoyed being members of the Langosta Beach Club. The club is on the beach and you can swim or surf in the ocean or sit by the infinity pool. The restaurant is excellent for lunch or for diner. Bob and Karla were nice to work with and very helpful. We can’t wait to come back next winter."Guest: Cindy G. Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: February 15, 2014View listing
"We stayed @ Casa Boaz for 5 nights in the surfshack. Strongly recommend this lodging! You won't get better hosts than Andy, Dee & their dog Nova. They all made us feel right at home immediately. We used both their bikes & surfboards. Casa Boaz is at a great location up from the beach, nice short walk with lots to look at along the way. We too got to have some of Andy's famous pizza, so delicious. We came in as guests & definitely left as friends:) Thanks again for everything Andy & Dee! Hope to be back someday!"Guest: Erin D. Tamarindo Travel Tips
An Unforgettable Trip to Tamarindo Beach Rentals
Who does not dream of unforgettable vacations, especially in a tropical paradise? If you are looking for such a trip then vacations in Costa Rica may be your answer. In Costa Rica, you have different provinces to choose from, including the Guanacaste Province in northwestern Costa Rica. In this area, you will find Tamarindo Beach rentals. The sandy beach may be just a few feet from your back door and you'll find surfing opportunities you will never forget. As you sit on the deck of Tamarindo resorts, you can look out at the Pacific Ocean for whales as well.
Tamarindo Resorts Are Easily Accessible
Tamarindo is a larger city in the province due in part to its accessibility. Flights and private charters can reach Tamarindo resorts by way of the International Airport in Liberia. It is 45 minutes from Tamarindo Beach rentals. In the town, you will pass by small stores, restaurants, and souvenir locations which you will want to visit at least once. Vacations in Costa Rica like those in Tamarindo ensure you have all the amenities at your accommodations, as well as in town.
Vacations in Costa Rica at Cape Sailfish
Tamarindo Beach runs along a section of bay formed by Cabo Velas or Cape Sailfish. To the north of Tamarindo resorts is Playa Grande which is inside the bay. Two beaches in this area are separated by a saltwater estuary called Estero Tamarindo; to the south of the bay, you'll find Playa Langosta. Vacations in Costa Rica are not complete without a stop at both beaches, especially because they are preserves for the giant leatherback sea turtle. If you visit between October and March, you will see the turtles come on shore at night to lay eggs.
Tamarindo Beach Rentals near Jungle Boat Tours
During the day, you can take a different sort of trip around the beaches. Jungle boat rides are offered to guests of Tamarindo Beach rentals who want to spend the day on skiffs in the mangrove forests. It is possible to see birds, mammals, and reptiles while on the tour. Canopy tours are also available for visitors who want fantastic views of the forest below.
