  • Beautiful condo in a great location!

"We stayed for 11 days back in June-July. The interior of the condo is beautiful- nice, modern wood furnishing (teak native to Costa Rica), great appliances (altho the ice dispenser in the fridge didn't work), roomy kitchen, nice stereo, great AC. The wireless internet is a bit weak, but works. E-mail and Facebook are fine, no Netflix. A couple of friends stayed in the second bedroom- it has its own bathroom and is on the opposite end of the unit. The listing and photos were accurate and up to date. The staff are very friendly and very on top of things and keep the place spotless. We arranged a few trips (definitely go zip lining at Arenal, Nicaragua was cool) through the front desk which worked out well. Sebastian recommended a great trip to Playas Minas, which is incredibly beautiful and empty during the week. We had the beach to ourselves. The management (Bob) was very straightforward, easy to deal with and responded promptly to inquiries. The location was a real winner as it was just far enough from town to not be crazy, but a very close walk. The last bit of road is not paved, but the beach is a better walk anyways. The condos on the water look outdated. Not this one- it's across the road from the beach, but you have access to Langosta Beach Club, a great facility- gym, large cabanas, large in-ground pool, and a great bar with good food (especially chipotle sauce). The staff is very friendly. There is also surfboards, paddleboards, and wakeboards available for rental and lessons. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants- we preferred the local type food. Nogui's has great seafood. The Italian place has great breakfast. The Argentinian place was okay, the milaneses were our favorite. We really enjoyed Vulcano also. We went fishing with Pedro, which was a small boat but a lot of fun and reasonably priced. We rented a car for the drive down, and stopped at the automercado, which is really a great store. It has a good selection of fish and meat, and a wide variety of beer. We didn't visit the store that is closer to the condo but were told it was more limited. We took a shuttle bus on the way back to the airport. The JetBlue lines were very short compared to others. Overall, we had a great time and were very pleased with condo, building, location, and beach club. We would definitely recommend / go back again- I didn't see anywhere nearby that looked as good. We were absolutely pleased with our choice."

  • Great casa in the most amazing vacation destination.

"This was my fourth time visiting Tamarindo, but my first time with my friends instead of family and my first time staying in the sun rise complex. Tamarindo is a great little town with lots of friendly folks and is a great destination for surfers. Of the places I've stayed near Tamarindo, this one's probably the best, since the condo is not only very nicely equipped with all that you need, but it's also very conveniently located. Smaller grocery stores are literally right next door whereas the larger ones where you'll find fresh fruits (the pineapple is amazing and like $1.50 for one) are about a 5 minutes walk. Also the town itself is super safe, and the condo complex also has its own security guards. I usually come here to surf, and all the surf shops are very close to walk to. The biggest one, Witch's Rock surf camp is literally just a 3 minute walk down the road. The beach is right across the street, so you can just wake up, put on sun screen and go surfing whenever you want! Takes literally 2 minutes to get from your bed to the waters of the Pacific. The owner and his property manager are also very friendly and will answer any questions that you have and are happy to help with any issues. As I mentioned before, since everything is conveniently located, having no car is not a problem. We were 6 university students who were under 25 and unable to rent a car, and never complained about it! Another great perk to this place is that if you're in a large group you can cook your own dinners and feel like you're at home. If you get too lazy to cook for one night, there are plenty of great restaurants. One I recommend is FT's by witch's rock. They make custom made colossal burritoes with all the toppings you want for just 7 bucks. I recommend this condo for just about everyone, especially larger groups with multiple couples since you'll get the perk of living in a paradise, and you'll also feel like you're at home with your own kitchen, living room and huge bathrooms with luxury showers! I will definitely be staying here again next year!"

  • Perfect vacation started here!

"This was the first time our family has used VRBO. I have to say the experience from start to finish was fantastic and super easy. If you are wanting to stay in Tamarindo, stay at the Ibis! All communication with the manager of the property was prompt and detailed. The concierge staff coordinated our private airport transfer from Liberia. Once we arrived we were immediately impressed with the beauty and cleanliness (inside and out) of the grounds. All staff were so friendly!! The unit we stayed in was EXACTLY as pictured. All amenities that we needed to stay for a week were available to us. While the condo isn't on the beach, we still felt as if we had the best of both worlds because we could enjoy Costa Rican nature each morning watching land crabs, iguanas and howler monkeys from the outdoor porch then walk directly across the street to the beach club (free access with our condo rental) which is right on the beach where we had access to a fitness center, pool, beach chairs, bar, and restaurant (with very good food and happy hour). It was so nice to not have to pay to rent a chair or to have to lay our towels on the beach. As part of our stay, the concierge coordinated a driver for us (at no charge) to take us to the large grocery store where we stocked up on some basic items. There is also a smaller local store just down the road a few blocks as well. Everything you want is within walking distance in Tamarindo. Take advantage of the variety of restaurants and shops. The choices are amazing. We followed recommendations and found the top to be just that! We want to go back to Tamarindo again and when we do, we will stay at these condos again! We felt that the location was perfect for us!! This was a perfect vacation for our family!"

  • My kids want to move here!

"My two young sons and I had a fantastic week in this house. Richard was super helpful and basically was a concierge half our stay - showing us the lesser known gems to visit in the area. This home is isolated enough that it felt like a nice private hideaway but was relatively close to beaches, restaurants, etc. We would definitely go back. Gracias Richard!"

Tamarindo Travel Tips

An Unforgettable Trip to Tamarindo Beach Rentals

Who does not dream of unforgettable vacations, especially in a tropical paradise? If you are looking for such a trip then vacations in Costa Rica may be your answer. In Costa Rica, you have different provinces to choose from, including the Guanacaste Province in northwestern Costa Rica. In this area, you will find Tamarindo Beach rentals. The sandy beach may be just a few feet from your back door and you'll find surfing opportunities you will never forget. As you sit on the deck of Tamarindo resorts, you can look out at the Pacific Ocean for whales as well.

Tamarindo Resorts Are Easily Accessible

Tamarindo is a larger city in the province due in part to its accessibility. Flights and private charters can reach Tamarindo resorts by way of the International Airport in Liberia. It is 45 minutes from Tamarindo Beach rentals. In the town, you will pass by small stores, restaurants, and souvenir locations which you will want to visit at least once. Vacations in Costa Rica like those in Tamarindo ensure you have all the amenities at your accommodations, as well as in town.

Vacations in Costa Rica at Cape Sailfish

Tamarindo Beach runs along a section of bay formed by Cabo Velas or Cape Sailfish. To the north of Tamarindo resorts is Playa Grande which is inside the bay. Two beaches in this area are separated by a saltwater estuary called Estero Tamarindo; to the south of the bay, you'll find Playa Langosta. Vacations in Costa Rica are not complete without a stop at both beaches, especially because they are preserves for the giant leatherback sea turtle. If you visit between October and March, you will see the turtles come on shore at night to lay eggs.

Tamarindo Beach Rentals near Jungle Boat Tours

During the day, you can take a different sort of trip around the beaches. Jungle boat rides are offered to guests of Tamarindo Beach rentals who want to spend the day on skiffs in the mangrove forests. It is possible to see birds, mammals, and reptiles while on the tour. Canopy tours are also available for visitors who want fantastic views of the forest below.
