"My wife and I stayed at Casa de las Olas for a week in November. What a wonderful house and location! The accommodations were perfect for four people. The fully-equipped kitchen was very helpful for breakfast and a couple of dine-in dinners. The location a short walk from the beach was great, and the quiet neighborhood was a nice contrast from some of the busier, touristy areas of Tamarindo. Rik, the owner, was on-site at his separate apartment while we were there and was a fantastic host. We highly recommend Casa de la Olas!"Guest: Mark Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 31, 2013View listing
"My family of 6 and two other families (13 in total) recently stayed at this awesome house in Pinilla. The house and location met all our high expectations of a property in Pinilla. Close to beach access, beach club, restaurants and a bunch of amenities around the area. The golf course is right behind the house. Tamarindo (very famous beach and surf town) is a close drive away, so restaurants, night life and supermarkets are around the corner. Our party really enjoyed the pool and outdoor rancho, which is fully equiped with a BBQ, fridge, microwave, etc. Pool table at the lower level was also a big plus. The house is huge and it offers several living areas to enjoy. Highly recommended for large families or gorups of friends. Overall a great stay. We will definitely come back!!!"Guest: Family Vacation Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 24, 2014View listing
"We arrived last Saturday to this Costa Rican Utopia and don't want to leave! Hacienda Pinilla is a waterfront area just south of Tamarindo. The beach club is great for drinks during the sunset and dinner. There is a golf club and a stable. The JW Marriott is on the property offering a pool and several restaurants, in addition to a gift shop. I suppose you never have to leave the compound. This Villa is perfect for our family. There is plenty of room to stretch out. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 up and 1 down. There is an upstairs livingroom/tv area. Downstairs is a large living area/dining area/kitchen. The kitchen is decently equipped for a quick meal. The unique feature to this Villa is there is a great view of the Pacific from the back of the house; Not all of the Villas have this view. Across the driveway is a pool and gym, which we all visited daily. The entire family has really enjoyed this Villa. There is a great woman who runs the Villa. She is a wealth of knowledge! Restaurants, activities, doctors etc! I had a few questions for her before we arrived, and she replied quickly! Some other things that might be helpful: There is a grocery store in Tamarindo that has anything you need. You need a car to get around. The Costa Rican people are so genuinely kind and helpful. Most speak some English but really enjoy it when you try to speak Spanish! We try to eat off the property: the Marriott has very expensive food with mediocre taste. The beach club at Hacienda Pinilla is really good! Witches Rock surf camp in Tamarindo has a great restaurant, eat at Joes, where you can sit near the beach and eat some great food! Best meal we had. Volcano brewery is near there also. Lola's is walking distance from the beach club, and easier to walk than drive if you are able., and has some great food! It was a great house in a great place with terrific people running it. We are sad to leave tomorrow, but know we will be back!"Guest: Heather w. "A perfect blend of a quiet secluded street and 2 blocks from everything! We spent 2 weeks, one with kids and grandkids(14 total) and needed 2 rooms next door at luna llena, and one week with 3 other couples. Very comfortable and we could have spent another week and still not been bored. Like everyone else we spent very little time indoors. Bob and Iris were great! We usually never want to go back to an area for a 2nd time, this place is the exception."Guest: Ed Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 9, 2014View listing
Tamarindo Travel Tips
An Unforgettable Trip to Tamarindo Beach Rentals
Who does not dream of unforgettable vacations, especially in a tropical paradise? If you are looking for such a trip then vacations in Costa Rica may be your answer. In Costa Rica, you have different provinces to choose from, including the Guanacaste Province in northwestern Costa Rica. In this area, you will find Tamarindo Beach rentals. The sandy beach may be just a few feet from your back door and you'll find surfing opportunities you will never forget. As you sit on the deck of Tamarindo resorts, you can look out at the Pacific Ocean for whales as well.
Tamarindo Resorts Are Easily Accessible
Tamarindo is a larger city in the province due in part to its accessibility. Flights and private charters can reach Tamarindo resorts by way of the International Airport in Liberia. It is 45 minutes from Tamarindo Beach rentals. In the town, you will pass by small stores, restaurants, and souvenir locations which you will want to visit at least once. Vacations in Costa Rica like those in Tamarindo ensure you have all the amenities at your accommodations, as well as in town.
Vacations in Costa Rica at Cape Sailfish
Tamarindo Beach runs along a section of bay formed by Cabo Velas or Cape Sailfish. To the north of Tamarindo resorts is Playa Grande which is inside the bay. Two beaches in this area are separated by a saltwater estuary called Estero Tamarindo; to the south of the bay, you'll find Playa Langosta. Vacations in Costa Rica are not complete without a stop at both beaches, especially because they are preserves for the giant leatherback sea turtle. If you visit between October and March, you will see the turtles come on shore at night to lay eggs.
