  • Wonderful Beachfront Condo In Tamarindo

"We loved the condo. Location on the beach is wonderful and ocean view is incredible, and downtown Tamarindo was just a short walk down the beach. Everything was as good or better than expected, with the exception of the master bedroom air conditioner, which operated somewhat erratically, in the sense that some times the room would be too warm (warmer than other rooms in the house), yet other times it cooled fine. Also, it was strange that the housekeeping service showed up on Thursday, just a day and a half before we were scheduled to leave. It seems that they should have shown up about halfway through the trip in order to be of any benefit to us. By cleaning on Thursday, they probably had to come in again on Saturday to prepare for the next guests. We will definitely consider the condo again for our next trip."

  • Perfect Vacation!!!

"My Hubby & I had an amazing 3 weeks in Costa Rica. The condo was perfect... everything we needed. The layout is very spacious. Plenty of room for 2 couples plus a 5th wheel. Or a family with several kids. Nice large kitchen so that you could eat in rather than out every day/night. 2 Big bathrooms with roomy showers and endless hot water. The sunscreen and sand that we ended up wearing every day made the laundry room in the condo, a huge bonus. Air conditioning also a bonus. The patio was great to sit and have a meal while listening to the waves, monkeys, & birds. The property/grounds were immaculately taken care of. The pool was refreshing. There was 24 hour security. And a property manager (Barbara) who lives on site, always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. The beach/ocean was just a 5 minute walk from the condo. The beach was beautiful, clean, & not crowded... perfect! Playa Junquillal had several great places to eat, a small grocery store, & just a short drive to bigger towns & more touristy areas. One thing I would recommend is renting an suv because the roads (everywhere, not just Junquillal) are pretty rough. I absolutely recommend this property. I have nothing negative to say about this property. Everything was better than we could have imagined. We are already planning our next trip and will be bringing our 3 daughters."

  • Pros - excellent beach/location, courteous hosts; Cons - property/furniture could use an upgrade

"We (2 adults and a 2 1/2 year old child) stayed at Alan's and Kathy's house for 3 nights in May. The house is right on the beach and Playa Grande is fantastic, very secluded, private and huge beach, 5 stars! We had the top floor for us which has the master bedroom and 1 bathroom. It also has a loft with extra beds, small living room, kitchen and a huge outside veranda. The veranda is awesome and the views gorgeous, lots of wind too. The master bedroom had A/C and was useful because it was very hot during the time we were there (high of 35-37°C / 95-100°F). The pool was clean and had nice depth, however not for very small kids. The kitchen was well equipped though it could've used a microwave instead of a conventional oven. Kitchen didn't have any kind of condiments and it would've been better if it had the basic items stored (at least sugar, salt, pepper, may be coffee etc.). Some of the furniture is old and broken and could use some refurbishment as well. There is free Wi-Fi (spotty inside) and a small TV which gives you DirecTV programming from the US. Alan and Kathy are very courteous and were helpful with all our needs. I think the housekeeping lady comes once a week. If you are annoyed by harmless insects or ants then it’s not the place for you. There are a few here and there, which never really bothered us. The place isn't really child proof (may be not for very young kids) but we were fine with it. Parking is on street, which is right outside of the gate. We found the area to be safe. Tamarindo is half an hour drive (20 kms) or you can go to the south end of beach (3-4 kms) and take the boat. I have lived in the tropics for more than 20 years and this house reminded me of my granduncle's rustic home where I spent a lot of time growing up, very nostalgic. Loved the trees, the shades and the red tile flooring. I really want to leave 5 stars for this property, and once it gets a refurbishment it’s definitely a 5 star!"

  • Beautiful

"We spent 2 weeks at Casa De Memphis. Everything was as described. The property is well situated, very clean and all the amenities you would need. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and the Cabana. The TVs, WiFi, BBQ, Kitchen were all great. We ate most breakfast, lunches and 1/2 our dinner at the Villas. We also got a local chef/cook to come and cook for us one night, it was amazing. The beach is just around the corner, like a 5 mins walk at the most. Beach is beautiful, not crowded at all with a couple of decent restaurant. Overall a very relaxing holiday. I would definitely go back, I guess is the best compliment I can give the property/location. And Dave was amazing to work with. Thanks Dave, you have a beautiful property."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
