  • Hard to Top!

"I've stayed here a handful of times now and the only reason I am loathe to write this review is that I don't want others to catch on and start competing for booking the best weeks. This place is everything you need in a surf/beach vacation spot and nothing more. Simply walk out the front door in the morning, surf, walk back in, jump in pool, grab beer, sit on upstairs porch overlooking surf, and repeat. This house is a labor of love for Alan and Kathy and they do a great job of making their guests feel comfortable and welcome. If you're looking to hit the "easy" button on a surf/beach vacation and don't want to hassle much, then do yourself a favor and spend a week at Villa of the Rock."

  • Amazing vacation!

"We recently came back from 10 days at Casa Muy Grande. I feel like one of our group said it best, he felt like it wasn't a vacation but a way of life. The house was very comfortable. We had a group of 9 from ages 3 to 80 and all felt at home. The pool was just right for our group as it provided a safe place for the kids to play before we headed out for excursions. The walk to the beach was very short and led to a great non crowded beach perfect for playing in the waves or watching the sunset. We all fell in love with the Playa Grande area. It was very safe and an easy walk to the "grocery store" Wil-Mart for necessities (and some of my favorite coffee and sunscreen which I am still using at home!) There are several restaurants easy walk or drive that were fantastic. The caretakers were lovely and helped us get some coconuts out of the trees in the yard to drink the coconut water. We heard and saw howler monkeys on several occasions in the yard...awesome!"

  • Nice house, great location

"Villa Buena Vista is a lovely property in Potrero Costa Rica. Jorge the property manager is very helpful and the directions to the house were great- thanks! Ernesto and Anna Maria(?) his wife are wonderful and are on the property full time to help out, clean, etc. Loved the house dogs- rusty, jack, Skye and I forget the big ones name- they are so friendly and they hung out with us on the deck every day! The house itself is set up on a hillside with amazing views, 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 1 half bath. Can walk to the beach but it is about a 1/4 mile so we drove- beaches are nice and pretty private. The house has a pool which we used every day- covered cabana, table & chairs and barbecue at the pool site. Birds all over and beautiful parrots everyday. Monkeys too! Only suggestions I would make- can use some new pots and pans for cooking - they are old and the non stick is pretty much all worn off. Need a new toaster too- it started sparking and did not toast well! Overall a nice place to stay Air conditioning in the bedrooms but not the living areas, however there are ceiling fans and even though the temperature was in the 90s during the day, it was much cooler in the morning and evening, besides who spends time in the house when outside is awesome! We spent all our time on the deck enjoying the view and birds. Table and chairs on the deck so we always ate out there. Potrero is nice and quiet and a short 30 minute drive to Tamarindo if you feel the need to see a real touristy beach town and Playa Flamingo is a short 10 minute drive- smaller than Tamarindo but still enough restaurants, shops and bars"

  • Costa Rican family looking for a great place to rest and enjoy the best beach in Costa Rica, Pelada

"What a wonderful surprise it was to arrive to Casa BandA to find the most beautiful place I've been in Nosara! As soon as you get into the owners property it seems you are at another world, everything is so clean, well kept and quiet. I am a teacher so my search for vacation places is intense trying to find the perfect vacation house to rest and be in a silent place. The apartment rented was pristine, imagine what a task with the dust that arrives every summer in Guanacaste. Another great surprise was to find an excellent kitchen equipped for a pro. I am a good cook and always travel with my kitchen utensils. Never needed at this place because they even had good spices to share with the person that rents the house. The pool one of the cleanest I've seen and with good chairs to sit and read in a very peaceful ambiance. The owner is available at all time in case you need something. All in all, I highly recommend this house for the best vacation ever in Playa Pelada, Nosara, Guanacaste."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
