  • Palms #6 is Great!!

"We spent a week at Playa Flamingo and stayed in #6 condo at the Palms. The condo was awesome in every respect: Clean, comfortable, well stocked, luxurious. The views were great and the location can't be beat (right on the beach). Owner was responsive and very helpful. He suggested a charter boat for offshore fishing, which turned out to be three amazing days on the water. We caught sailfish, roosterfish, tuna, mahi and to top it all off we caught a 250# and 1000# blue marlin. That's not a misprint, the "grander" was a record fish for the boat after 28 years chartering in Costa Rica. I will definitely be back and would not hesitate to stay here again. I also had my wife and two kids, age 8 and 14. They too loved the place."

  • Retirement is an Option

"My wife and I decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in Costa Rica and we were not disappointed. The Condo overlooks the bay and from sunrise to sunset it is a picturesque sight. The temperatures hit 40 degrees while we were there, but the air conditioners kept the condo a cool place to escape the heat when necessary. The closeness of restaurants to the condo was a plus but I advise visitors to rent a vehicle if you want to see sights...but if your looking for downtime with sun and peace/quiet you can't find anywhere better. We will be going back soon...it was that much fun!!!"

  • family of nine

"Indeed a fantabulous (fantastic + fabulous) place to stay in Playa Hermosa. The house ( Mansion) is absolutely awesome. The view is magnificent and the infinity pool feels as if you are in the pacific ocean. The place is very secure with gated security guards 24 ×7. I would definitely go back. The owner is a great guy. Thank you james for having us."

  • Beautiful views in Playa del Coco

"Stayed here for three days, and I have to say- it met every expectation and more. The community always felt safe (although we didn't see many people-understood since it is the rainy season), and the views from the house were exquisite. We really enjoyed waking up and having breakfast and coffee on the back porch overlooking the pacific ocean. Had a relaxing swim in the pool one morning. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the Beach Club (although we did drive by), but it looked fantastic. One thing to note as we travel light and typically walk every where- you will need some sort of transportation. Most people visiting seemed to have rental cars, but we prefer not to drive- easily solved by renting a golf cart for 3 days in Coco, and we were easily able to get around Coco, travel to Playa Ocotal etc. All in all, an excellent stay, the pool was beautiful and such an asset, we enjoyed the privacy and serenity of our home and have already begun planning our return next year. Since VRBO requests: We ate at: Villa Italia (expensive and hard to find, but worth it- be aware they only speak Italian and Spanish) Father Roosters (a short drive away, had an awesome day there- beach bums bar/café) Le Coq (tiny restaurant on the main stretch, unbelievably good and cheap Mediterranean food) Zi Lounge (not bad, but typical tourist menu/bar food) Coco hotel restaurant (expensive, very limited menu, no local food- not bad if you're looking for a taste of home but avoid if you're looking for local experience) Papagayo seafood (great meal, reasonable prices, highly recommend the bisque) The property was quite clean and in very good shape, owner was very responsive- generally answering our questions by email within the hour (and many times even faster than that)."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
