  • Vacation Paradise

"Our family stayed here to celebrate our kids high school and college graduations. The house is amazing, every bit as beautiful as the photos, and super clean. The kitchen is well equipped if you wish to make your own meals. The house manager Fabrice was very helpful arranging all kinds of activities and services and with any questions about the house and surrounding area during our stay.We had arranged the welcome package (dinner and breakfast first day) from Chef Pas Cam prior to arrival which was a great way to start our vacation. The food was very fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the meals so much we arranged another dinner by Pas Cam later in the week. The house is close to the beach, Playa Blanc, a short walk and it seems like a private beach. During the week we had it to ourselves most days. Its a great beach for shelling and sea glass collection at low tide and fun for bogie boards (which they have for use at the house) at higher tide. At the top of the bluff over the beach is a hotel which is the best place to watch a sunset and have a cocktail. The pool are is beautiful and there's lots of comfy outdoor furniture for lounging. The kids loved the hammock and I like that there was a covered area by the pool for sun protection. There are tons of activities in the area...we did a hiking trip at the volcano Rincon which included two waterfalls and then a trip to hot springs for mud bath and soak. We enjoyed the trip but it is a strenuous hike so be advised (not for small children). We also took an ATV ride lots of fun! We saw howler monkeys on that trip (which we heard from the house sometimes). We went to Playa Avellenas, another beautiful beach with a fantastic restaurant that looks out on the beach. There were some local crafts being sold on the beach there too. Theres another fantastic five star restaurant in Playa Negra Villa Deveena that we enjoyed on our trip. We walked and biked (they have four at the house) into the little town (about 10 mins) to Amigos Restaurant and to get a few things at grocery. I would absolutely recommend this house to friends and family and would love to return ourselves someday! Thank you Fabrice, Patie, Pascal and Camille and Dulce too for a great vacation!"

  • AMAZING!

"Popo's Treehouse was an amazing adventure for us. Tad was extremely accomodating. Our flight into San Jose and drive to the coast put us at his place around 1am local time. Tad was available to great us and show us around. Breakfast is included each morning and the coffee plus fresh fruit is a delight. The beach is a short walking distance and was nearly empty every day we were there. No crowds to worry about in Puerto Carrillo. It is a very quiet town and extremely safe. Tad and Suzie gave us great information about local restarants and activities. Even short cuts that took us through dried out river beds. We really got to see all parts of Costa Rica. This is the place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy a bit of nature. The treehouse has everything you need. The shower has great water pressure and the bathroom is clean. The kitchen has a cooktop and refridgerator. The porch upstairs has a hammock and chair and the bedrooms sleeps 4 comfortably. We will definitely be back to Popo's on our next trip to Costa Rica. Thanks!"

  • Perfect vacation started here!

"This was the first time our family has used VRBO. I have to say the experience from start to finish was fantastic and super easy. If you are wanting to stay in Tamarindo, stay at the Ibis! All communication with the manager of the property was prompt and detailed. The concierge staff coordinated our private airport transfer from Liberia. Once we arrived we were immediately impressed with the beauty and cleanliness (inside and out) of the grounds. All staff were so friendly!! The unit we stayed in was EXACTLY as pictured. All amenities that we needed to stay for a week were available to us. While the condo isn't on the beach, we still felt as if we had the best of both worlds because we could enjoy Costa Rican nature each morning watching land crabs, iguanas and howler monkeys from the outdoor porch then walk directly across the street to the beach club (free access with our condo rental) which is right on the beach where we had access to a fitness center, pool, beach chairs, bar, and restaurant (with very good food and happy hour). It was so nice to not have to pay to rent a chair or to have to lay our towels on the beach. As part of our stay, the concierge coordinated a driver for us (at no charge) to take us to the large grocery store where we stocked up on some basic items. There is also a smaller local store just down the road a few blocks as well. Everything you want is within walking distance in Tamarindo. Take advantage of the variety of restaurants and shops. The choices are amazing. We followed recommendations and found the top to be just that! We want to go back to Tamarindo again and when we do, we will stay at these condos again! We felt that the location was perfect for us!! This was a perfect vacation for our family!"

  • Playa Avellanas Guesthouse

"My boyfriend and I were above satisfied with the guesthouse! Ben and Glenna (the housekeeper) were extremely helpful and accommodating! The cute and cozy cabina has everything you need while giving you the true vibe of Costa, to live simply. We rarely ate out but instead shopped at the local grocery store just a short 7-10 min drive down the road and cooked all our meals at home. The cabina was cleaned regularly and the cleaner did an awesome job, we also loved the dogs, Elvis and Bessie. They were super friendly and greeted us whenever we got home, they also made us feel much safer at night, If you were awake you could hear Elvis doing his watchdog rounds. The beach was amazing! Short walk either down the Las Olas boardwalk or through the river mouth. The waves were also amazing as my boyfriend is a surfer and this was the perfect location to travel both ways up and down the coast in search of waves. Howler monkeys live nearby as well as all sorts of amazing wildlife and vegetation. We did two tours from here, the tour group "Anywhere Costa Rice" will actually pick you up from the hotel next door which was awesome and convenient and they have many options to pick from. All in all, we loved the guesthouse and wish we didn't have to leave!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
