  • Merry Christmas

"My family had an amazing week at Casa Colina. The lovely villa is spacious and more than comfortable for a family, and we had more room than we needed! With two daughters aged 5 and 8, the beautiful pool and beach were the major hits of Bahia Pez Vela. We loved the safe, secure complex as well as the privacy of the secluded beach. Our mornings were spent eating breakfast and watching the birds fly over the patio. Our daughters were tickled that there were howler monkeys in the trees behind the villa on several occasions. We opted not to rent a car due to the easy availability of taxis and transportation. We took a day trip to the Tempisque river, where our children were delighted to see many kinds of animals up close. We also hired a driver to take us to a local waterfall and the animal rescue outside of Liberia. Cesar arranged all of that for us and we had great experiences. The restaurant on site, Picante, had the most delicious ceviche we've ever had. I had at least one serving a day! Our kids bonded immediately with Cesar and Jackie in the main office, and Juan and Cesar in the restaurant. The night before we left we had to go give everyone hugs. We miss them already, and can't wait to go back."

  • A week in paradise...

"We enjoyed every aspect of our week at Casa Los Monos from morning coffee poolside listening to the birds to the quiet private evenings at our leisure. We felt safe and knew that should we need anything Emel was only a phone call away.... Only a short ride to the spectacular playa guiones with great surf and pristine beach was a highlight for us as well as the great choice of local restaurants. Our first visit but certainly not our last visit."

  • Amazing Stay! Great Hosts

"The Twin Dolphins B&B right on the beach in Potrero Beach, CR was absolutely amazing! We stayed with Mike & Irma 1/3-1/9. We stayed in the penthouse suite on the 4th floor - wow what a great view. The bedroom was very large with a whirlpool and a big shower. The beds were very comfortable and slept very well. The area was quiet and peaceful with only a few people on the beach at any given time. MIKE WAS THE BEST! He knew anything and everything about Costa Rica and we could talk with him for hours. His breakfasts were some of the best I've ever had! Not to mention Irma's authentic Gallo Pinto on our last day was a great way to end our stay. Coffee and breakfast was served every morning on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Mike gave us great suggestions about what excursions/trips to take (Buena Vista Lodge & El Viejo boat tour) and even went with us on the boat tour. Words cannot express how perfect this trip was all thanks to Mike & Irma. We will be definitely be returning to stay with Mike & Irma again. Pura Vida! - Nick & Nancy"

  • Check out the views!!!!

"If you enjoy monkeys...spectacular views...and luxurious accomadations, this is where you will want to stay! A "girls golf getaway" in July took us to Costa Rica where a golf cart and recommended guide were the only transportation necessary. Terrific, as driving in a foreign country can be a challenge. After our fun-filled days on the beach...at the course or sightseeing, the best place for "happy hour" was the pool right outside our door. You will not find a better view anywhere!!! We left relaxed...refreshed...and ready to return! Thank you for making our trip so very special!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
