  • Great holiday

"We are now back from a fabulous holiday in Costa Rica. Our stay at the Casa de la Loma was one of the highlights of the trip and we had a superb time there. Ana and Freddie were absolutely adorable and took great care of us. They were truly wonderful people. Ana's cooking was to die for!! The location, though a little remote, was incredibly beautiful and we did see many different birds, monkeys and even whales the day before we left. In the event you could use the information, to get to Puerto Carillo the quickest way from San Jose was to fly to Punta Islita "airport"...a tiny shack and not a flight for the faint-hearted in a small propeller aircraft but it took only 35 mins. We then drove from there , guided to the house by Max from the Samara Alamo Rental on a dirt road actually driving through a river (pretty exciting and only possible doing the dry season) taking about 45 mins. Not crossing the river will add another hour to the journey. A 4x4 is not really needed to drive up the hill to the house though this would certainly not be true in the rainy season when the roads are muddy."

  • Casa Mandarina and Amigo Realty Top Notch!

"We are terribly sad to see this week come to an end. There is so much left to do so we must plan our next visit. I think Casa Mandarina would be an excellent place for a crowd. Marcia is an amazing cook! Authentic Costa Rican cuisine everyday, breakfast lunch dinner, when we weren't out on the best adventures, organized by Marjolet! Many thanks to Marjolet for getting us on personalized tours with Don Grant, the owner of Get Lost In Costa Rica (# 1 in Trip Advisor for Costa Rica). Now that we have been here, our next trip will be even better! Turtle tour, River Tour, Zip lining, horseback riding, waterslide, mud bath, swim in natural hot springs heated by volcano, and endless fun and relaxation at Casa Mandarina and Playa Grande beach! This is our last day. After our breakfast, we walked the beach and saw where a giant Leatherback turtle came ashore over night to nest and return to the sea. Then noticed a baby Leatherback trying to make its way to sea. What an experience for the kids and us, right out the back door of Casa Mandarina! Thanks Nova, Marjolet, Marcia and Oscar! • Wonderful Beach House Getaway

"We rented Casa Velas for most of January 2015 and had a wonderful time. The perfect beach house. While not lavish it provided us with a wonderful place to enjoy the most wonderful Costa Rica beach, Playa Grande. We were three couples that enjoyed the best of outdoor living while staying there. For information the pool is spectacular and wonderfully maintained by Luis. Dimensions of the pool are 14 feet X 29 feet. The shallow end is 3 feet deep going to about 4 feet deep. Anna did a wonderful job of pampering us with house details on a very regular basis and cooking the most wonderful Costa Rica meals imaginable. She is a gem! We can reiterate all of the other reviews as being very accurate. Pura Vida!!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
