  • Luxurious Craftsmanship, Friendship, Comfort & Location

"Our stay at Casa Paquita was absolutely amazing! Invited by our son-in-law's family for a birthday celebration, the nine in our group had plenty of space and amenities to make every moment spectacular. Noemi, the housekeeper, made our stay especially remarkable. From awakening each morning to her delicious coffee, to bedding down each night in our spotless room, she made every waking moment a pleasure. She never tired of our constant requests to help us learn Spanish and we had many warm conversations with her to learn about the local culture. At our request, she made many excellent recommendations of little-known places to visit and prepared mouth-watering local dishes for us. She did our laundry, arranged massages by pool and even located a fishing pole for my husband to use on Casa Paquita's picture-perfect beach. Her warm, nurturing nature made her feel like a member of my family and I already miss her and Smokey, the house dog, greatly. Casa Paquita itself is beautiful. The warm woods of the rounded doors and stairway show meticulous craftsmanship, as do the beautiful tiles throughout. The house is ingeniously built to harness the ocean breezes, from the three story fountain surrounded by the beautifully crafted staircase to the vented eaves in the upper stories and bathrooms. Although air conditioned throughout, conservation of energy has been thoughtfully incorporated into the construction of the home. The infinity pool is well maintained daily and is a wonderful viewpoint from which to enjoy ocean views in pampered comfort. It was the central gathering place for the entire family throughout our stay. We enjoyed beverages using ice from the ice maker with no ill effects, either. The grounds are beautiful, perfectly manicured and shade portions of the pool. We even spotted the occasional iguana and monkey in the trees. Two outdoor showers were beautifully and conveniently located to wash the sand from our beach-soaked bodies. Casa Paquita was easy to locate and only a short drive from Tamarindo. A small store is within walking distance and we were centrally located to explore the local beaches. The gated drive and courtyard made us feel safe and cozy. Overall, Casa Paquita is a magical place to relax, refresh and unwind due to the Pura Vida spirit of Noemi and the other Costa Ricans, like Diego and Luis, our guides to Arenal Volcano National Park and Eddie and Roberto who guided us on the horseback ride of our life at Playa Conchal. The memories a"

  • Incredibly kind and happy staff!

"From the second we pulled in with a flat tire the Ibis staff was amazing. They offered to change it and they practically had the tire done before our bags were out of the car...not to mention they smiled the entire time. Everyone was so nice and helpful from the moment I first inquired about the property to the minute we pulled out of the lot. I would give the staff a double 5. The property was great and despite it raining at times, they worked very hard to keep the floors dry and mud cleaned up. It was nice to have a full kitchen, refrigerator and washer/dryer available. The relationship with the property across the street, which provided a pool, workout facility, restaurant and bar was wonderful. The location is easily walkable to town and minutes from the beach. Overall, this was a great experience. Our only problem was a septic issue which we were told they were in the process of replacing. The smell in the building and surrounding properties was at times completely unbearable. Certain units seemingly had stronger smells than others. Despite this, I would go back to this property in a second but ensure the issue is fixed."

  • A Great Week in Nosara

"We really enjoyed our week at this cute little beach bungalow! The easy walk to the yoga studio is beautiful. The privacy of the back patio is lovely. The cafe de Paris is a short 5 minute walk for a fresh croissant. And the beach is a quick ten minute walk or five minute bike ride. While you're in town, check our playa pelada, the next beach over from playa Guiones. I think the owners are great people who truly want to share their wonderful space. They haven't been there in a while, so the day-to-day business is left up to a third party, who is a bit over her head. That would be the only reason I would dock this cozy spot a star. Well worth it otherwise! Have fun."

  • perfect!

"Villa Mirador is exactly as described—if not better. Mary-Ellen, the owner, is absolutely amazing. She was extremely helpful, organized, prompt, friendly and passionate about her properties. The on-site manager, Daniel, was very helpful as well. He does not speak English—so be prepared if you do not speak Spanish. Just ask Mary-Ellen questions ahead of time. The house has everything you should need—even a crib for our little one. The views and pool were amazing! We spent several late afternoons relaxing in the pool and patio area. There were (3) bedrooms downstairs and (1) upstairs. Air conditioner worked great in the rooms; however, there is no ac in the main living areas. The house is designed to be an open concept which for the most part does not require ac in the living areas. This particular home is probably the smallest in Samara Reefs; however, it is off on its own providing you plenty of privacy. If you need a little more room (5th bedroom) I would contact Mary-Ellen about her other property in Samara Reefs. Daniel actually took us over to view it and it was amazing. Very large pool—you could do laps in it and the house is a little bigger. Villa Mirador was perfect for our party of 6 adults and 2 kids. Samara is a very nice beach town with friendly people and plenty to do and several great restaurants. I would recommend a car—we picked up our car rental from the airport. With traffic it is 1 hour and 40 mins. Without traffic we did it in 1 hour 15 mins; however, I did the drive 4 times in a week so I was very familiar with the roads. Overall this property is truly amazing. The only small little issue we had was the light drapes in the bedrooms. Our 3 and 1 year old woke up super early each morning which caused for some long days! I would absolutely come back to Samara Reefs and stay at Villa Mirador again."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
