  • Great location!!

"This Condo is huge and was plenty of space for us 3 couples. The location is very close to the beach only about a 10 minute walk. There is a small grocery store at the bottom of the hill which has most of the essentials. The list of food recommendations was great we tried out so many. Las Baulas pizza was great. La Bodega across the street for breakfast and coffee is excellent!!. We did the wok n roll and everyone loved their Sushi. The surf shack has some of the best burgers and fries I have had. All the restaurants have Costa Rican service which is relaxed. Plan on being in any of the restaurants for 2 hours unless you go before 6 so don't arrive hungry! For our local cuisine we talked with someone in one of the downtown shops and she recommended we eat out of the back of this women's car. Apparently all the locals eat what she brings. It is a traditional rice/ beans, Plaintains, a slaw of some type and vege, pork, chicken or beef. She parks under a tree downtown near the Diria Hotel. The cost is only about 4 Us dollars per meal. She is there only at lunch. We got lunch from her twice it was so good. If interested in it ask some of the locals they will direct you. Not well stocked to cook as we only found two spices in the house. We opted to eat out instead. I did find that food is kind of expensive here. A small jar of peanut butter will run you over $6.00 so if you don't want to eat every meal out maybe bring some small items from home. Also we were there at a busy time of year and they seem to have some type of rolling blackouts. We would lose power in the evenings for a few hours so you may want to plan ahead. Also we were in Tamarindo for New Years and we had so much fun walking on the beach at midnight with probably 10,000 others watching the fireworks and all the paper hot air balloons being let off it was so beautiful!!"

  • Amazing

"We have been traveling for the last 10 years to a warm destination and VilIa Ocotal is hands down our best vacation every. We have traveled to both all inclusive and VRBOs. There were 16 people from ages 12-57 in our group. Some of us enjoy relaxing and the others enjoy a active vacation. This vacation met everyone's needs. From the time we landed in Costa Rica to the time we left everything was perfect. Doris and Hermon went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My husband is still talking about how delicious the was food was. I think everyone wanted to take them both home with them. We also enjoyed Freddy's outgoing personality every morning. Guillermo was very helpful and responsive with our questions and setting up messages and excursion. You can tell everyone puts their heart and soul into making everyone's week outstanding. If you are traveling with a group and want unforgettable vacation this is place for you."

  • Amazing time!

"The condo is everything described and more. Carol was great to work with arranging this vacation. She sent her recommendations, plus maps and how to get around. Made this easy as pie. Alban, the groundskeeper, is friendly and will show you the local animals & vegetation. As well, Alban keeps the pool very clean and the yard immaculate. The private pool is a bonus after wandering the town, the beach, and the walk up the hill. There is night time security which are friendly and will give you a hand anytime. The kitchen has everything you need but be aware of the water shortage at times during the day. Housekeeping was excellent, friendly and thorough. This vacation was the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation so far. We will definitely be back! Thanks Carol!"

  • Charming and Inviting House in Surfside!

"My husband and I stayed at this house for two weeks this summer. We really enjoyed it. It is in a nice neighborhood that is close to the beach and I really love the Potrero area so for me it was perfect. It was great having the garage to put our rental car in (not many houses have this in Costa Rica) and the fence around the house also made me feel very safe. The house was very cozy and has a cute backyard with a pool that is nice for lounging or cooling off any time of the day. My parents and brother came for a few days and also enjoyed staying at the house during our stay. The owner of the house was lovely to work with and was very accommodating! It was a great vacation and I would definitely recommend this house and stay here again!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
