"I have to say this rental property was more than I had expected. The house manager was very friendly and helpful. The pool was fabulous, the beach nearby was absolutely gorgeous and the location was private and very quiet. I very much look forward to returning."

  • blissful, beautiful and private!

"The pictures of the house do not begin to do it justice. You walk in to a lovely panoramic view of a 2 story high living room with stunning wooden ceiling and 2 story glass windows on either side of the house. The master bedroom is lovely with a wall of glass and private patio looking out on a view of the ocean and mountains. The master shower is a luxuriously large glass shower. The kitchen is suitable for a serious cook. It has almost every cooking dish and utensil you can think of and a few spices. Outside there is a sink, gas grill and pizza oven. The house is kept very clean by the maid who showed up for us Mon-Sat. We didn't notice any bugs inside the house (very important since I saw reviews of other houses where bugs were a problem). The pool was also well kept with little to no odor of chlorine. The location of the house is great since it is up on a hill and gets a good breeze. After a long hot day, the pool is nice and cool with that breeze and there's nothing nicer than relaxing by the pool and taking in the stunning view. Another appealing feature of this house is the Blue Water Properties Concierge Service. They were very helpful by recommending the best restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and tours so we didn't have to waste any time hunting around. There is a beach (beautiful with very few people) close by (maybe 1km?) along with a little restaurant on the beach. But most of the shopping, restaurants and grocery stores are about 20 minutes away. The concierge service also arranged a cook for us on the last night. The food was fabulous. She did a great job and it was the perfect ending for our trip. If you need a broadband connection, I did a speedtest and it was about 286KB/100KB. This means that your emails and wifi calling will work fine, but streaming videos or gaming is highly doubtful. Although 2 of our party were able to get low quality video skype working. We did see a group of howler monkeys. They didn't bother us at all, and the wall of windows in almost every room allowed us to take some very close up photos without scaring them off. The other visitors we enjoyed every morning and evening were martins. There was an array of beautiful birds that we thoroughly enjoyed. The house is private, secure and quiet inside of a gated community. I highly recommend this house and Blue Water Properties in general."

  • Loved it!

"We were two families of 4--4 adults and 4 teens. This house was perfect! We also rented the adjoining apartment. While we all had separate places to sleep, the center gathering spot of the house was wonderful. The pool was incredible. Quite large by Costa Rica standards--in fact, the pool at the house was as big as the pool at the hotel we stayed in at Arenal. Carrillo Bay is a short walk away, and we played in the waves with the boogie boards. We also borrowed the cooler and the hammock for the beach. The store is a short walk down the road and Hula Jungle was one of our favorite places to eat. We went several times during our stay. We also had dinner right across the street at the steak house. Delicious! We did drive into Samara one day for surf lessons, and that was fun as well. I would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the Samara/Carrillo Bay area in Costa Rica. Thank you Michael and Linda for sharing Casa Ventana Del Mar with us!"

  • just what we were looking for

"We can't recommend this house enough. The house was comfortable, the beach was private and beautiful, the water was warm, the surroundings were amazing! Cheo the caretaker was kind and helpful, sharing homegrown squash and taking us to a nearby fishing village (at 6 AM) to buy delicious red snapper right off the boat. His lovely son treated us to young delicious coconut. Pat, a nearby neighbor and local contact was helpful and friendly, and directed us to a wonderful butterfly/bee tour with Mike. Thanks to all of you."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
