  • Great view

"We spent 8 nights in this condo. The sunset from the balconies are hard to beat. The décor was modern and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well with dishes and pans. They were lacking in mixing bowls and there were no spices (salt and pepper) at all. The internet worked well and was fast. The bed was to firm for us and gave my husband a backache. We had problems with one of the showers. Bluewaters sent someone out very fast to look at it. They got it going but unfortunately the pressure never was good in that shower so we stopped using it. The water pressure is not that great anyway. The electricity went out for short periods of time about half a dozen times but was always restored fairly quickly. The beach is beautiful and just a short walk away but the short walk back is very steep as is walking just about anyplace. This is good exercise but beware during the heat of the day. The surf has a strong undertow and was not good for swimming. We saw whales, rays, dolphins and some other type of large fish. The pool is at the top of the complex. We got more noise from the pool at the neighboring resort than the pool at Oceanica. The pool here was never crowded and shaded as the afternoon went on. There are not a lot of shops, etc close and is more a place to relax, walk the beach and watch sunsets which is what we like. A car is needed to get out and about but they can be rented by the day as we did for exploring. Mateo can organize this and they deliver and pick up the car at the condo."

  • Villas Catalinas

"This complex nestled in the side of a mountain with exquisite views from the balcony and pool at the top of complex. Temperatures in mid to high 90s (must have hat and sunscreen). Naturally beautiful countryside, gorgeous quiet beaches within short walking distance, friendly people, great local beer, photographers' paradise (tropical birds, monkeys abound) . This unit well equipped with excellent maid service. Lots of restaurants nearby. We like casual dining at 'The Shack', and 'Marco Polo'. Street noise and lots of climbing so not for the physically challenged. Need a rental car."

  • Pura Vida

"We had a wonderful stay here for a week at the beginning and end of our stay in Costa Rica. The sunsets were great every night and there is nothing more peaceful than to sit outside, overlooking the ocean and beach on the north, and listen to the birds and the odd chorus from the howler monkeys. We had no vehicle and didn't need it, but that did require walking up the short, but relatively steep, dusty road from town, often in the heat of the day. But the AC was a welcome relief at the end of the walk. We were without internet for the first few days, but other than that, no complaints. The only drawback for me were all the people hawking the same things on the beach. Too much like Mexico. You get tired of saying no every 10 minutes. We had a great time on the sunset sail and recommend that for a nice afternoon, but do not expect too much from the snorkeling."

  • Second time staying at Casa Sylmar

"All I can say is this place is amazing. Beautiful home on private beach with excellent owners that work hard to make your vacation exceptional. I can't imagine going to Costa Rica and staying anywhere else after having stayed here twice now. You will love this place. We'll be going back again!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
