  • Relaxed Vacationer

"Had a wonderful stay here. Close to the stores and restaurants, and you can hear the ocean while relaxing with a coffee outside in the morning! It's very easy to get used to chilling out in the pool every day when you return from exploring all the amazing things Costa Rica has to offer! The villa is a great place to stay, being comfortable, private and affordable. You can enjoy your vacation at your own pace, either preparing your own meals when you want or going to one of the various restaurants Playa del Coco has to offer. We will definately be back :)"

  • Modern, comfortable condo... close and convenient to beach and downtown Coco!

"Our group of seven included my mom in her seventies, two adult kids, two teenagers and my wife and I. Finding a place to hold us all comfortably was a challenge, but this ground-floor, close-to-the-pool unit in the quiet and luxurious Sombras development was a great choice! Each bedroom had comfortable beds and its own A/C unit as well as a ceiling fan. The two bathrooms were modern and had great tub/shower combos as well as lots of hooks to hang suits and towels. The kitchen and living area were perfect for preparing meals or for relaxing after an adventure-filled day. There were two pools for us to enjoy, the closest only 20 feet outside the patio door. We enjoyed using the gas grill on the patio a couple of nights as well. The beach is about a 10 minute stroll in one direction and downtown Coco is 10 minutes the other direction. The closest convenience store / mini-market is just next door and is located in the same development as the property management company who can arrange for rental cars or adventure tours. We didn't rent a car or golf cart on this trip but had not problem getting around on foot or with relatively inexpensive taxi rides. Our favorite restaurants were Pappagayo Seafood downtown and Claudio y Glorias just off the beach close to downtown. For a less expensive "soda" experience, we enjoyed Jardin Tropical across from the Port Authority office. For a great meal and incredibly friendly hosts try HelloHanny's in Artola on the Monkey Trail road to the Congo Trail zip line center. The beach and sunsets in Coco were great. We also enjoyed exploring nearby beaches in Ocotal, where you should visit Father Rooster, and Playa Conchal and Tamarindo further south. In summary, this great unit was a perfect base camp for our diverse group. Everyone enjoyed the comforts of home while there and it made resting up for the next adventure a great pleasure. Highly recommended!"

  • Wonderful Vacation

"Our family spent 10 days enjoying all Nosara has to offer, plenty of surf, sun, fun. The house is well appointed with everything needed to make our stay comfortable. Plenty of privacy and room for our family of 7 .Gated community is nice for added security. The beach is 3 minute walk, restaurants & shops 6 minutes. "IF" you do rent a vehicle(bike, atv, car) you can zip around town in minutes. This was our second stay at this home and the owner has made some nice improvements,we recommend staying here you will not be disappointed, we look forward to our next adventure to Costa Rica"

  • Surfer's Paradise

"I just got home from my 10 day stay at Casa Marina and had a wonderful time. I went with my wife, our 1 year old daughter, and my sister and her boyfriend. Marina arranged our airport transportation since we didn't want to rent a car. The driver had an nice van with A/C and a cooler full of cold drinks for the hour ride to Playa Grande. He even let us stop at the store on the way to stock up on groceries. Marina greeted us at the property and gave us the quick tour. The two rooms are very nice, clean, and spacious. The pool and the yard are beautiful. Within about 2 hours we were completely settled. Half our group was relaxing by the pool and the other half were sitting on cheaply rented longboards ($100ea for the 10 day stay from a local surf camp) catching perfect warm water waves and watching the sun set over the Pacific. Over the next 10 days we surfed twice a day, every day. The beach is literally a 100 or maybe 150 yard walk at the most. Their pool is warm because it has a dark bottom and absorbs heat from the sun. I've been in other pools in Costa Rica and Nicaragua with white bottoms that are too cold to hang out in. The restaurants close by in Palm Beach Estates (all less than a 5 minute walk) were all very good. The convenience/grocery store (also less than 5 minutes) has EVERYTHING at totally reasonable prices. We took a $20 round trip cab ride into Playa Grande for dinner 2 other nights. Sunday Night Sushi at one of them was excellent. All in all, we had a wonderful time at Casa Marina. I don't think there's a better "bang for the buck" place to stay in Playa Grande. If you're looking for a good place to stay on a surf trip, you've found it. We didn't do any of the other tours (estuary tour, ziplines, white water rafting, volcano tours, etc) but I've heard they're all fun as well. We basically woke up at sunrise, surfed for 2-3 hours, relaxed by the pool the rest of the day and surfed again 2-3 hours until the sun set and started getting dark. We'll definitely be going back!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
