  • perfect 10 vacation home.

"We met friends from Ohio for 9 days in Costa Rica and Casa Prieta was amazing! It was spacious and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. The owner, Rick has really thought of everything. If you ever plan a trip to Costa Rica, THIS is where you want to stay. The view from our house was nothing short of spectacular. Beautiful grounds and trees and flowers. An infinity pool. Birds all around. A 500 ft drop to the Pacific Ocean below us, that made it possible to hear the Ocean at all times. Early sunrise over the mountains behind our house brought out the Howler Monkeys that I heard for the first time. WOW they sound freaky and huge. But, as I learned later in the trip, they are not huge or freaky...they just sound that way. :) The sunsets at our house took my breath away. I've seen a few that were amazing , but this? The sky went from shades of Blue and Yellow, to bright Oranges mixed with a golden ball sitting low in the sky. Until finally, it would turn deep orange and reds and look as though the sky had been set on fire, and then just seem to slip into the ocean.....it really did make me cry it was so amazing. I watched the sun set every night and I was never disappointed. Our housekeeper, Francis was so sweet and did such a wonderful job. I felt like the house was "new again" after she left each time. Every morning I had coffee on the deck while a bird visited me for bread crumbs. Every day we sunned poolside and had fresh fruit blended drinks. And at night after whatever the day had brought, we seemed to naturally end up back at our house early for either swimming or just sitting under that huge sky. It really was perfect...This vacation exceeded every expectation I had, and blew my preconceived notions of Central America out of the water. There are mountains and Volcanoes all around. The monkeys and geckos make cool sounds that I've never heard before. The food tastes better there. The Pacific Ocean is amazing, loud and powerful. The Flowers, even in the dry season are lovely, And the people are gorgeous and kind. Costa Rica is the most beautiful place I have ever seen with my own eyes. I think I'm in love.... Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. Pura Vida. Tracey and Will Smith"

  • Beautiful property and home

"A group of 10 of us enjoyed staying on this property. Though two nights was not enough to truly experience all the area has to offer. This was our fist time to Costa Rica. We wanted a couple days inland near Arenal to see that side of the country. The house: somewhat rustic style, very clean and well-maintained. Very spacious for such a large group, which suited us nicely. Great outdoor patio overlooking the property. We liked to cook for ourselves, the kitchen had everything we needed. The property manager and gardener were so friendly and nice to work with and talk to. The property: so many acres to explore! We enjoyed walking the grounds and looking for various fruits, plants, etc. We were able to pick our own oranges and lemons for fresh squeezed juice! I wish the pineapple and other fruits were ripe when we were there. My favorite place is the platform being built at the highest point of the property. It was a beautifully constructed wood structure (outdoor yoga studio?) with an amazing view of the sunset over the lake. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area, removed from any touristy spots. Location: As others have mentioned, the road to get to the driveway is very bumpy, 4x4 is definitely a must. About a 15 minute drive to Nuevo Arenal and an hour (or less?) to Arenal activities and La Fortuna. It was a wonderful area to visit and see the culture there. Driving around the area includes amazing views of the lake, farms, pastures and rural communities. It was a nice break from the busier tourist areas on the Coast. Activities: We liked to plan our own adventures and not be on time constraints. So we enjoyed the Arenal Hanging Bridges and enjoyed Tico food in La Fortuna. We ended up not making it to the Hot Springs, but hope to try another time. I'd definitely return and stay here again. The price is right, as is the location. I'd just add a little more time to be able to try more restaurants and other activities. Thank you, Bret!"

  • Amazing!

"What a great location!! A 15 minute walk to Tamarindo and some of the best surfing/swimming beaches I've been to. Or a 2 minute walk down to the rocky, seashell riddled beach of playa Langosta. Amazing sunsets and the most EPIC LIGHTNING STORM viewing from the roof! The pools and facilities of the condo were great and the security guards are some of the most friendly and helpful people we met on our trip! Cannot recommend more highly!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
