  • Spectacular Villa - Amazing Location

"This was our first trip to Nosara and hopefully not our last. We had never been to Costa Rica before, so we were completely unprepared for what to expect. Flying into Liberia, we hired a driver and drove the 2 hours to Nosara (the last hour on dirt roads). We arrived to find a spectacular villa in a town that is a cross between a surfing village, a new age yoga center and a traditional Tico community. Four Winds are 2 villas on the same property, but not terribly close together. Each villa has a private pool, a high end kitchen, wi-fi, high end cookware, and is beautifully designed and decorated. We marveled at how the owner possibly built and furnished such a house in this location, given its limited dirt road access. The owner was responsive, and his property manager, Rebeca, was terrific. She arranged transportation, rental cars, zip line tours, etc. for us and was available for any questions the entire week. Our entire family took surfing lessons, and my 8 year old daughter is ready to become an ex pat surfer girl in Nosara. The are a number of fantastic restaurants ranging from La Dolce Vita for Italian to La Luna for great food and beautiful sunsets. Given the fantastic kitchen, we also ate dinner at the house a number of nights and enjoyed dining outside, listening to the howler monkeys. The house had a path that made the beach an easy 5 minute walk (there are no beach front properties in Nosara - so this is about as close as you can get). We would make the walk each morning and stop by Coconut Harry's Surf Shop to pick up surf boards, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. We also enjoyed zip lining, kayak tours, and my husband and son took a 4 hour ATV tour to a very cool waterfall where they were able to swim. Given Nosara's location, we recommend first time visitors hire a driver from the airport, or fly on one of the local airlines directly into Nosara. There are plenty of rental car companies in the town. Also, much is said about petty crime in Nosara. We did not experience any problems, but we did use the safe provided in the villa and used common sense. We cannot say enough good things about this house and Nosara, worst part was leaving and flying home to yet more snow!!!"

  • Phenomenal Villa for anyone!!

"My husband and I recently visited Costa Rica and stayed at this BEAUTIFUL villa. We have never stayed in anything this nice before, not even on our honeymoon. The villa is very spacious, yet the layout is perfect and has that "homey" feel to it. Our favorite part about the villa was the infinity pool. It was so nice to have our private pool when we didn't feel like going to the public one or the beach. The Villa has surround sound speakers so you can plug in a phone and play music throughout the house which is awesome. The beds were extremely comfortable because they had memory foam mattresses (at least the master bedroom did). We loved having a kitchen so we could cook meals on days that we didn't feel like dining out. The property is extremely clean and there is a cleaning lady that comes every other day. The concierge (property managers) were very helpful, they helped book our tours and get us taxis when we went into town. We chose the sunset cruise and the water rafting tours which both exceeded our expectations. The property is located in a gated community which is on the same grounds as the Westin hotel, so you have access to the beach, pools and restaurants. There is a free shuttle that can take you to the beach or you can enjoy a nice 2 mile walk down to these amenities. The location is perfect, close to other beaches such as playa avellanas and playa grande which are great for surfing and it is about 15 minutes from Tamarindo which has shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Just past flamingo beach there is a place called Las Catalinas which is a beautiful outdoor restaurant with swings, hammocks, couches, lawn chairs, corn hole and they serve great cocktails and food. Another place we enjoyed for lunch was Lolas, which was located on playa avellanas. I enjoyed a few beers and read my book in a hammock while watching my husband surf. So relaxing! I would recommend this property to anyone! My husband and I enjoyed our alone time and having this place to ourselves, however we both agreed that it would have been great to have a few other couples with us b/c it was spacious enough for a big group. We hope to get the chance to come back to this beautiful villa again!"

  • A great liitle oasis

"We spent Feb. 2014 at Surfside Towers. Loved it. Very confortable unit, warm pool, extra clean condo, nice people. Close to fruit stand, several bars and rstaurants and a couple of food stores. Across the road from Potrero beach. We rented a car for a few days, took cabs and local buses to other beaches, way cheaper and less risky than driving. Great spot to explore the West Coast. Will return."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
