  • Condo Rental

"This was our second rental of this same unit and we were very pleased with the entirety of the condo and resort complex altogether. Highly recommend it to anyone else who is looking for a quiet and fun getaway in Playa Flamingo, CR. The views are breath taking over the bahia to the East, North and West. The unit was immaculate and all physicals (water, lights, etc.) worked just great. Had hot water which is sonetimes in CR a real commodity."

  • Homey and well appointed villa

"My husband myself and our 14yr old son stayed at Chris's lovely villa for 10 days. I was reluctant to book a VRBO as we had a previous bad experience. This was a very positive experience from start to finish. A welcome reprieve from our long cold Canadian winter. The villa was exactly as described and more. We lived mostly on the large patio, eating all of our meals outside. The plunge pool was fabulous. We made good use of the blender for margaritas/pina coladas and the new barbeque. Separate AC in every room was a nice touch. Very quiet location at the end of the street. We used the resort pools and enjoyed having cocktails watching the sunset at the restaurant. We did not partake in the meals at the resort.. The trolley to the beach was much appreciated as it is a steep walk up the hill in 38C. We spent most of our vacation enjoying Playa Hermosa and the villa. Great beach for swimming and boogie boarding in the waves. Our son spent many hours perfecting his skim boarding. Favorite memories will be watching the sunset with 2 for 1 cocktails from Roberto's. We also had a few meals there which we thoroughly enjoyed. Look for Adolfo/Alonso (brothers) to take you out to the "island" for a up-close and personal snorkelling experience. Chris's referral to Avispas Adventures was much appreciated. Amy and her crew were very accommodating, prompt and professional. They picked us up at the airport as promised only 20 minutes to the villa. Carlos took us to Playa Grande for a day of surfing. Beautiful never-ending surf and sand. Beware there is no shade here. We also had an enjoyable evening dining at Ginger's. I would suggest to do most food shopping at Coco Beach at the new supermarket, very nice and everything you will need including inexpensive boogie boards and skim boards. The grocery store in P. Hermosa is OK for basics, we found it to be pricey. We were looking for a relaxing beach vacation and this is exactly what we had. We did not see the green/jungle Costa Rica as seen in pictures as it was the end of the dry season. We plan to go back to see the "jungle/adventure" Costa Rica we have heard and seen so much in the rainy season Thanks again Chris"

  • Pure Life- Pure Vida

"The Costa Rican experience is Pure Vida! Upon arriving at the Liberia airport you feel the warm breeze and see the green all around you and your shoulders relax. You immediately unwind. We rented a car at Economy off site the airport. We would suggest you hire a driver to take you to Playa Conchal and rent your car from Ecomony at the Reserva Conchal office. The roads are dark and semi dangerous due to people walking and riding bikes on the roads. Upon arriving to our location the grounds and golf course are immaculate. The condo is well kept and very clean. The ocean views and sunsets amazing. The Westin Hotel is on the same property so the Reserva Conchal guests may use their Beach club and facilities. We enjoyed those facilities daily about a 5 min drive from the condo, little to far to walk back and forth. In our party of six we had age groups of teens, 20's and 50's. The condo sleeps six very comfortably , the markets are close by to stock up frig. We cooked daily. We had breakfast and serveral dinners in the condo, plenty of kitchen tools avail. We found eating out nightly could be very costly for a large party. The river tour was fantastic , plenty of monkeys and crocodilias to see. Our favorite adventure was the mega tour from Hacienda. We drove ourselves to the Hacienda Inn about and 1 1/2 hour away each way from condo. You can stay the night or just play for the day. We made it a day trip left at 6:00am returned around 8:00pm. Cost per person during this season was $85.00 per person included horseback riding, water rafting , lunch, fantastic zip lining with the grand finale of the hot springs and mud baths finished with a cool rinse . We were total noodles after and enjoyed American Pizza from Papa Johns on our way back to a Playa Conchal. If your looking for a Sunday Christian service , stop in for a visit at Community Beach Church up the street from the condo. Very small congregation led by retired Americans with a splash of locals. Sit under the grass roof and be inspired with the word and worship. We gave the church our unused food the day before we left. Wonderful surfing , shopping and eating , Tamarindo. Favorite restaurant The Coconut owned by a lovely Norwegian lady. Fairly priced , known for their seafood. Be careful of street and beach vendors trying to sell you their wares. Best not to make eye contact and keep walking. All in all this vacation was a 9, and 10 if we had someone else cook and clean daily! Wonderful time !"

  • Retirement is an Option

"My wife and I decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in Costa Rica and we were not disappointed. The Condo overlooks the bay and from sunrise to sunset it is a picturesque sight. The temperatures hit 40 degrees while we were there, but the air conditioners kept the condo a cool place to escape the heat when necessary. The closeness of restaurants to the condo was a plus but I advise visitors to rent a vehicle if you want to see sights...but if your looking for downtime with sun and peace/quiet you can't find anywhere better. We will be going back soon...it was that much fun!!!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
