  • The Best of Both Worlds

"El Sueno de Mariana is a very private home yet, because the hosts live on site, it's priced reasonably as an apartment rental. This amazing home is perched at the top of a small mountain just above the surf town of Nosara, Costa Rica. Although the roads are a bit bumpy, to say the least, it's an easy drive from the Nosara airport and to the town and local beaches. Safety was never a concern for us as El Sueno de Mariana has an electric gate and is situated in a private neighborhood. Down the road a bit is a security guard who monitors traffic heading in and out of the neighborhood. During the day we enjoyed the spacious, sandy beaches around Nosara and in the early mornings and evening enjoyed our privacy at the house with gorgeous views, lush gardens, an infinity pool and the amazing sounds of jungle life. The property has incredible views of the Pacific ocean framed by beautiful gardens with native trees, plants and flowers. I have to say, as other guests did, the photos don't do the property justice. It has one of the most beautiful infinity pools we've ever had the privilege to enjoy! The pool has a waterfall, lap lane and mosaic turtles on the bottom. Be sure and watch the video which highlights the surrounding gardens and views. The bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, are spacious, clean and air conditioned and have all the amenities one needs for vacation. Our hosts, Mikki and Don, are warm, easy going and have great tips on what to see and do in Nosara. They really tune into their guests preferences and if privacy is what you're looking for, you can bet you will have it here. We, however, enjoyed playing cribbage with them and I highly recommend Mikki's informal water aerobics class on site! We brought our 3 daughters (all in their 20s) and 2 boyfriends and had plenty of room. No matter what your age you will feel right at home at El Sueno de Mariana. Many thanks Mikki and Don for a fabulous stay! We hope to come back again."

  • Dreamlike Wedding Location

"Villa Serena was the perfect setting for our wedding this past New Years Eve. It was truly a fairytale place and our family enjoyed themselves immensely at this dreamlike location. This Tuscan style Villa is absolutely breathtaking with impeccably landscaped gardens in a very secluded area right in front of the ocean with the most spectacular sunsets right on the water. We will have wonderful memories for the rest of our lives. Modesto and Marcia were extremely kind and helpful. They're a wonderful, friendly and lovely couple. Many thanks Denisse, this was the perfect setting to ring in the New Year and start our new lives together. Warmest Regards, Jim & Evelyn"

"The six of us ladies just got back from a week at the most beautiful beach. Our villa had a view that can never be outdone. We spent hours just sitting in the pool and on the large deck staring out at the Pacific Ocean. The location of the villa is second to none on that entire beach. And of course, thanks to house manager (Oli), we were able to do many truly memorable activities. Oli was able to set us up with great events and people, maximizing the entire Costa Rican experience. We all could not have been happier with the location, the view and the staff!!! Great time had by all."

  • Villa Diosa del Mar-"A piece of Heaven" in Playa Junquillal!

"My dream to find the perfect getaway in Guanacaste, Costa Rica began almost 6months before I finally arrived on January 4, 2015. The coordination of the details and finalizing plans for myself and some special friends took months, but the owner guided me through the process from the beginning to end, expertly and efficiently. I was searching for a uniquely beautiful location and accommodations, privacy, nature, quality amenities, access to available comforts and adventures, and an overall personal experience with Costa Rica. I found all of this and more from the moment I arrived. Patty, the villa concierge, took care of every need and detail with amazing grace and efficiency. Upon arriving, I was greeted with smiles by Patty and the house-keeper Yurlani, and the doors opened to spectacular beauty on all levels. The overall architectural design details and furnishings for the communal spaces and casitas are so special and blend in beautifully with the perfect backdrop of the ocean, cliffs, manicured lawn, sparkling pool, and magnificent palms. All perfectly cared for by William, the landscaper. The various amenities offered of personal cooks, massages, grocery shopping, adventure planning or instruction, local restaurant recommendations, rental cars, etc. are all handled expertly by Patty and Niko as well as dealing with any questions or special needs and requests. Turning us onto the "hatch and release" of the baby leatherback and black turtles down the beach was a particular highlight. The beach is only a few minutes down the private path and the ocean and daily sunsets were breathtaking. Wildlife sightings and sounds were a common occurrence and added to the relaxing atmosphere. The weather was perfect and the summer winds prevented the heat from ever getting too oppressive. Whether we were simply relaxing by the pool, in the hammocks, or seeking adventures, I felt like I was experiencing a little piece of heaven. Thank you for sharing your home and to all who helped make this vacation so unforgettable. I hope to return very soon. Jeanine M., NYC 2015"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
