  • Great place to relax and enjoy Costa Rica beach

"My 23 year old son and I wanted to have an exotic adventure together and we are so glad we found Casa Pastor! It was even more beautiful than the pictures, clean, open and gorgeous. Since it was only my son and I we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms, but it would easily handle much more. Everything we needed in the kitchen, boogie boards, umbrella (we arrived at the start of the rainy season, but it was gorgeous in the mornings and most afternoons). Alex and Carol, thank you for sharing your paradise with us, I will be back with my wife next time (and maybe some of our other children). David, your care as the property manager was tremendous, helpful, friendly and always on-time. Thank you for helping us by phone when we got flat tire on the way to Miss Sky zipline."

  • Quiet and peacefull

"Pro’s: The house sits on a beautiful and peaceful piece of beach. On average I’d say there were no more than 20 other people walking/playing on the 3 miles of coast. The ocean is warm, waves were perfect for a 4 year old and the undertow was light. Boogie boarding was a daily ritual. The pool was engineered perfectly, shallow part for kids, deep portion for adults and a nice sitting area in the other corner. Weather was consistent, ~95, ~75 no clouds. Thank goodness for the new AC and fridge. The house sits perfectly on the plot. The house was clean and Thomas / Janet were always there by 9am to tend to other matters. Joan, Dervin and G were accommodating and great to work with. They had the screen doors repaired and lubed as they didn’t move well. Neutral: The house has a security system and a local nightly security guard. I appreciate safety but at the same time it made some of us uneasy. The security system is loud! No shortage of little bugs and ants. They don’t bite but you’ll find them in the kitchen and we would find ants crushed in the bed with us. You’ll hear critters running on the roof in the AM - the roofline and walls are sealed very well, no worries. Con’s: The house is showing its age. It’s built very well, just needs a good craftsman to give it a once over. Our bedroom had some paint bubbling off the walls, some doors are warped and really loud, the shelving system in two of the bedrooms were pulled off the wall. We found 2 cockroaches, 1 in our bedroom and 1 in the common bathroom that we quickly killed. The dishwasher was serviced 4 times and never worked properly. The lounge chair brackets were rusted or broken on two of four. The umbrella could only be used about 5% of the time because it was flimsy – it flew out one day and needed to be repaired by Thomas. The wi-fi had difficulty connecting with our Apple devices. Weirdly enough, the one Android phone and Windows computer connected without issues the entire trip. The 4 iPads and 5 iPhones only had wi-fi for ½ the trip. Overall, it was a quiet and fun house to visit – you rent it for the great pool, good ocean view, laid back local establishments and relaxing area. When I have time I will add notes to my trip advisor page."

  • Six weeks of joy In Playa Coco

"We were looking for accommodations in PLaya Coco that were accessible form disabled daughter. This ground floor unit fit this need very well. We enjoyed the manicured landscaping and the four pools very much. The beds were comfortable and this unit would accommodate four adults very well. We also made use of the Beach club and the shuttle service. We enjoyed the beach views from there as well as the service. The owner Joe was very quick to respond to our questions and was helpful in us getting oriented to Coco. Overall I would recommend this Rental unit. It's only drawback was the lack BBQ access."

  • Amazingly Beautiful Costa Rican Getaway

"We visited Punta Dakota in January of 2015 with friends (there were 9 of us total). The property was beautiful and the weather was amazing! Online pictures of this property do not do it justice! The villa had all of the amenities that we could have possibly needed and the pool/bar area was breathtaking. It was so nice not to have to fight for a chair by the pool like you would have to at a hotel/resort! The staff at Punta Dakota would get a 5+ star rating if it would let me. We did hire Wilberth while we were there and he should really be charging more! He was amazing!! He did everything; he was our personal chef (the food was mouth watering), our bartender (made from scratch pina coladas to die for), and our local tour guide (we did an offsite excursion almost everyday that we were there). He knows everyone around the area of San Francisco and beyond so everyone was always very friendly. Great experience! We will definitely be repeat visitors of Punta Dakota!!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
