  • AMAZING!

"Popo's Treehouse was an amazing adventure for us. Tad was extremely accomodating. Our flight into San Jose and drive to the coast put us at his place around 1am local time. Tad was available to great us and show us around. Breakfast is included each morning and the coffee plus fresh fruit is a delight. The beach is a short walking distance and was nearly empty every day we were there. No crowds to worry about in Puerto Carrillo. It is a very quiet town and extremely safe. Tad and Suzie gave us great information about local restarants and activities. Even short cuts that took us through dried out river beds. We really got to see all parts of Costa Rica. This is the place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy a bit of nature. The treehouse has everything you need. The shower has great water pressure and the bathroom is clean. The kitchen has a cooktop and refridgerator. The porch upstairs has a hammock and chair and the bedrooms sleeps 4 comfortably. We will definitely be back to Popo's on our next trip to Costa Rica. Thanks!"

  • Very Nice House

"We are a family of 8 (6 adults & 2 small children, ages 8 and 5) and stayed for 7 nights in November. We found the home to be generally what we expected. It is definitely hacienda style, as in ALL outdoor living with the exception of the air conditioned bedrooms. We had a few minor glitches...gate code didn't work, a non-working ac, shower head with only 4 streams of water, no toilet paper, etc., but all were resolved fairly quickly. The only problem we had was not having an area to gather and visit as a group without having to deal with the mosquitos. We would recommend an ac unit be added to the living room area. The mosquitos were TERRIBLE, as expected - it was the end of the rainy season, but there was no place for us to gather in the evenings without being eaten alive. The living room area has doors that close, but there is no ac in that area. So, if the doors are closed at all times as we did to have a place to avoid the mosquitos at some level, it is very humid and hot and no one stays in there for very long. In addition, this house isn't great for those with young children. If the kids wake during the night, they have to go outside to get to their parents' room. A locking door between the twin and other room would be helpful. One minor note, there are numerous keys to this property with a lot of required locking (kitchen cabinets, safes, bedrooms, front door, etc.), so labeling the keys or somehow synching all the locks to just a few keys would be helpful. Overall it was a good stay and we LOVE Tamarindo, so we are willing to put up with a little to enjoy this beautiful area."

  • Friends Vacation

"Our original reservation was cancelled and was replace by this beautifull house. Me and my 3 friends really appreciate our stay at this house. We enjoyed a lot the pool and the full kitchen. The house is big enough for everybody. The kitchen is great. We cooked a lot of meal and enjoyed them on the rooftop terrassse. The only negetive this was that we have a lot of trouble with the washing machine and the toilet of the powder room wasn't flushing."

  • Great Place

"My girlfriend and another couple stayed here for what was supposed to be 3 days but turned into 4. I originally booked a 1 bedroom but 1 day before our reservation emailed Dylan (The owner) and asked if he by chance had a 2 bedroom unit because another couple had decided to join us. He said no problem and that he would have it cleaned and ready for us. We arrived and were shown to the unit. It looked as if no one had stayed in it before. These units must have been built within a year or two. Tile floors, A/C in the living room and each bedroom, tile showers, granite countertops, new appliances and cookware, everything you need for a wonderful stay. The fact that Amigos (A MUST GO) and the supermarket are literally downstairs makes it even more relaxing and convenient. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away, and little town with a great bar and surf shop is about a 10 minute drive. The surf breaks around Playa Junquillal were very good. It was fairly big for my talents (8-9 foot at times) and would close out later in the evening. The sandy bottom was very nice! I wouldn't recommend coming here without a vehicle if you want to venture out much, but if you want to stay in the complex, it has everything you need, except an ATM. The store has standard prices on everything, Amigos is a fantastic bar/restaurant, and the pool is lovely and well kept. Dylan is a pleasure to work with, and if we come back to Costa Rica, we will be staying here again."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
