  • Amazing House/Great Staff

"Wow! My family and I just spent a week in this wonderful house. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the property's concierge. She is simply wonderful and helped make our vacation incredibly memorable. She arranged amazing dinners, booked great daily events (including a full-day boating trip that is not to be missed), ensured that our refrigerator stayed stocked, and did all the little things that made this such a memorable vacation. The housekeepers not only kept the house spotless, but also made us amazing breakfasts. You also get use of the beach club, where the staff made us feel like we were the most important guests they have ever had. When you first walk into the house and see out into the backyard with its azure infinity pool and the breathtaking views, all the stresses of the "real-world" will melt away. Even the most stressed individuals (I am one) will be able to relax. I have stayed in the finest resorts throughout the world, and none compare to this house. Bottom-line, I highly recommend renting this magnificent home."

  • More than advertised

"Casa Gavilan ranks TOPS on m VBRO rental experiences. This property is gorgeous. The pictures do not do it justice. Ed was so helpful. We were delayed arriving which caught us having to drive the windy roads at dark, nerve racking. Ed met us along the road and guided us in. He also had us the essentials for breakfast and feeding the birds, our favorite activity. As I said the house is amazing, superior decor, extremely clean, wonderful landscaping and views. The wildlife kept us entertained. I think our biggest food expense was fresh fruit, for us and the birds. The Arenal location is a little off the beaten path, perfect for R&R. We stayed for three weeks, took on 2-3 adventures a week. Otherwise we stayed at "home" relaxing at the pool, walking the neighborhood trail, or maybe a trip to town for bite to eat and an Imperial beer. Locals are so friendly. Definitely eat at Moya`s and hang at Karacters. Pick up some homemade yogurt or cheese at El Estatblo. Our faves were back 142 towards Tillaran, La Rana is less than 2 km for breakfast and dinner, love Mr. Riner. The food is very good and he feeds the birds by hand. Further down the road is Casa Delagua for breakfast and lunch. We booked most of our activities through Los Camps in La Fortuna. They are associated with Los Lagos Hotel and Spa next door, with every booked activity you get a free pass to the Hotel pools, springs, restaurants and bars. That felt great after the Sky Trek zipping. I could go on forever. We'll be back."

  • Wonderful stay at Casa-Banda!

"We had a wonderful, relaxing time in a beautiful oasis in a jungle. If you can imagine a Hollywood film star going to a resort in Costa Rica, this is it! Listening to the unusual birds in the morning was magical, and the chirping (quietly) geckos at night. We walked down to the beach at Playa Pelada; it was scenic with rock outcrops, uncrowded, and plenty of sand for sunbathing. We enjoyed watching the terns, pelicans, egrets, osprey, and frigatebirds diving for fish. Don't miss visiting Lagarta Restaurant just down the road from Casa-Banda. The view of Rio Nosara, estuary, and shoreline is incredible and very romantic! Bibi and Arne are wonderful hosts and a wealth of knowledge. We enjoyed hearing many great stories about their lives in Costa Rica. We hope to return again!"

  • Paradise!

"Our family of four (that included our teenage daughter and son) just returned from a fantastic week in Playa Guiones. We loved the area and Casa Libelula. The house was perfect for us! It was just a few minutes from the beach--either along a path through the beautiful jungle or along the road. (It's the closest you can get to the beach.) I thought we'd miss staying right on the beach, as we have on previous vacations, but the jungle setting and gorgeous gardens around Casa Libelula were just as spectacular as any sea view. The owner, Tom, takes meticulous care of the grounds. The flowers and trees are gorgeous. There were beautiful birds, lizards and butterflies. We were especially delighted by seeing a coatimundi, armadillo and troop of howler monkeys right on the property. There is also a cat and some dogs that belong to business owners that visited daily. (These 'vacation pets' were calm, quiet and friendly.) Our kids enjoyed being with them and experiencing all the wildlife. We loved having our very own pool. It was refreshing, private and in this beautiful setting. The home itself is well decorated and large. It has everything you need in terms of kitchen appliances/utensils, bedrooms, towels and safety features (bars on windows/doors and safe room). It is located near several restaurants which we feared would be loud, but there is a noise ordinance and businesses close at 10PM. We never had an issue with noise. And it was convenient to be able to eat out at places so close. There's also a mini market nearby that was handy since we did not rent a car. Tom connected us a chef who made two delicious breakfasts and three dinners for us. She was wonderful and we loved her food. We also enjoyed dining at Kaya Sol, Pacifico Azul and La Luna. We went fishing with Nosara Fishing and took surf lessons from Nosara Surf Academy. We spent a lot of time on the beach and loved that it was clean, had pretty shells and was not crowded with people. The added bonus was that Tom did a great job of making us feel welcome, answered all our questions and gave us may helpful recommendations and tips. We highly recommend staying at Casa Libelula and we will be back!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
