  • October Vacation in Tamarindo

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay. The condo was even more beautiful than the pictures. Since we were there off-season, we had full use of the Hotel Diria facilities. A few minor issues came up which were resolved promptly by the agent. One suggestion: what was probably originally a set of dinnerware for 8 only had 4 large plates."

  • The Best of Both Worlds

"El Sueno de Mariana is a very private home yet, because the hosts live on site, it's priced reasonably as an apartment rental. This amazing home is perched at the top of a small mountain just above the surf town of Nosara, Costa Rica. Although the roads are a bit bumpy, to say the least, it's an easy drive from the Nosara airport and to the town and local beaches. Safety was never a concern for us as El Sueno de Mariana has an electric gate and is situated in a private neighborhood. Down the road a bit is a security guard who monitors traffic heading in and out of the neighborhood. During the day we enjoyed the spacious, sandy beaches around Nosara and in the early mornings and evening enjoyed our privacy at the house with gorgeous views, lush gardens, an infinity pool and the amazing sounds of jungle life. The property has incredible views of the Pacific ocean framed by beautiful gardens with native trees, plants and flowers. I have to say, as other guests did, the photos don't do the property justice. It has one of the most beautiful infinity pools we've ever had the privilege to enjoy! The pool has a waterfall, lap lane and mosaic turtles on the bottom. Be sure and watch the video which highlights the surrounding gardens and views. The bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, are spacious, clean and air conditioned and have all the amenities one needs for vacation. Our hosts, Mikki and Don, are warm, easy going and have great tips on what to see and do in Nosara. They really tune into their guests preferences and if privacy is what you're looking for, you can bet you will have it here. We, however, enjoyed playing cribbage with them and I highly recommend Mikki's informal water aerobics class on site! We brought our 3 daughters (all in their 20s) and 2 boyfriends and had plenty of room. No matter what your age you will feel right at home at El Sueno de Mariana. Many thanks Mikki and Don for a fabulous stay! We hope to come back again."

  • The Beach to Ourselves During the High Season

"Hey, folks, we just spent seven days on Playa Portrero at Palma del Mar, and it was fantastic. We were there over the week of New Years and had a spectacular view of five to six different fire work shows from the beach front of the house. Really the beach was all ours. We noticed scattered walkers along the beach throughout the week and could visit Flamingo or Playa Grande or many others if we wanted to be around more people. Perla and Cody were great and helped us find some fresh shrimp and mahi mahi. The rustic beach house worked great for us, and we were a large group. The kitchen is well set up and has everything we needed (we took advantage of the local markets and ate in). Although the smells from Perla's kitchen made us wonder if we should have let her take care of some of the cooking. I swam above a giant sting ray about fifty feet into the ocean for several minutes on the last day I was at the house. I guess I will have to go back some day for Perla's cooking and more snorkeling. Thank you Mel, Cody and Perla. Pura Vida!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
