  • Live the Pura Vida

"This condo truly is a gem! Centrally located on the pacific side of Península de Nicoya. Everything is done just right. You can tell right away coming up the driveway from the front gate that the property is very well maintained and secure. The condo itself is is big, with three bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, living room and a dining room. There is a lot of room for a big family or a group of friends. My Girlfriend and I were totally blown away when we opened the front door to find that we had landed in such a beautiful home. We couldn't believe how nice it was and the fact that we were going to be using it as our base of operations for fun and adventure in the Península de Nicoya really set the theme for a perfect vacation in this wonderful country. We had so much fun spotting wildlife like Howler Monkeys, tropical birds and a dazzling array of butterflies. We often had the wide open beaches to ourselves and to top it off when we did seek out company the people of Costa Rica and even the tourista's were the best! We loved our time in Costa Rica and highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle/bustle and enjoy the real Costa Rica."

  • Amazing Location!

"Hacienda Punta Indio has a gorgeous location with an ideal view of Samara beach and bay. The expansive property with numerous paths also offers views of Carillo beach. The house is reached up a long winding drive and is very private. Not far from the base of the drive is a road leading to Samara Beach and we all found it pleasant to walk from the house to the village (about one hour) along the beach. It helped that we could leave one of our two rental cars in town for the trip home. For nature lovers, the property is ideal. There are numerous birds, a variety of vegetation, frequent views of howler monkeys making their way through the jungle and the opportunity to hike through the woods on the paths provided. There is even a hike to a private beach which at low tide has ample tidal pools and beachcombing. We really adored the property! The house is spacious and a great setup for a large group with all the bedrooms a similiar size and setup (king bed, ensuite bath) so that no one was getting a "better" room. All rooms overlook the pool area and view of the beach. The pool is one of the nicest setups we have seen--the last stop on the edge of a ravine overlooking the beach and way. While sitting in the pool you can cozy up to the edge and gaze for a long time at the views. There is ample seating around the pool and a very, very comfortable hammock. I would say that the photos do not do the house proper justice: based on some other reviews we were prepared for a fairly basic setup, but were pleased to discover everything was tasteful and very comfortable. This may not be the house for individuals accustomed to 5 star resorts with spa like amenities, but it is completely clean, functional and comfortable. The air conditioned cold cellar was awesome for a large group keeping everything cool and the ants out of the kitchen. Jorge and Flory take good care of everything, come promptly when asked and are not intrusive. We had regular garbage pickup, attentive assistance when our baggage had to be delivered by the airline the day following our arrival and housekeeping along the way. The area of Samara is a paradise for beachlovers. There are lots of possible daytrips either way up or down the coast and numerous activities for adventure seekers. We found lots of places to dine, although enjoyed dinners at home more. Costa Rica has the best fruits and vegetables and shopping for supplies is not at all difficult. We definitely plan to come back."

  • Hate packing to leave!

"We arrived last Saturday to this Costa Rican Utopia and don't want to leave! Hacienda Pinilla is a waterfront area just south of Tamarindo. The beach club is great for drinks during the sunset and dinner. There is a golf club and a stable. The JW Marriott is on the property offering a pool and several restaurants, in addition to a gift shop. I suppose you never have to leave the compound. This Villa is perfect for our family. There is plenty of room to stretch out. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 up and 1 down. There is an upstairs livingroom/tv area. Downstairs is a large living area/dining area/kitchen. The kitchen is decently equipped for a quick meal. The unique feature to this Villa is there is a great view of the Pacific from the back of the house; Not all of the Villas have this view. Across the driveway is a pool and gym, which we all visited daily. The entire family has really enjoyed this Villa. There is a great woman who runs the Villa. She is a wealth of knowledge! Restaurants, activities, doctors etc! I had a few questions for her before we arrived, and she replied quickly! Some other things that might be helpful: There is a grocery store in Tamarindo that has anything you need. You need a car to get around. The Costa Rican people are so genuinely kind and helpful. Most speak some English but really enjoy it when you try to speak Spanish! We try to eat off the property: the Marriott has very expensive food with mediocre taste. The beach club at Hacienda Pinilla is really good! Witches Rock surf camp in Tamarindo has a great restaurant, eat at Joes, where you can sit near the beach and eat some great food! Best meal we had. Volcano brewery is near there also. Lola's is walking distance from the beach club, and easier to walk than drive if you are able., and has some great food! It was a great house in a great place with terrific people running it. We are sad to leave tomorrow, but know we will be back!"

  • Memorable Family Vacation

"What memories we made at the Casa! Our family of 17, ranging in age from 2-85, enjoyed this comfortable home with its great pool and easy access to the beach. We spent hours playing in the sand, jumping in the waves, resting in the shade of the covered patio, and swimming in the pool. The adults took frequent walks to Coco Loco for afternoon refreshments. One highlight was having a wonderful catered dinner on the patio. We also spent a day of adventure on the Congo Trail zip line and boating on the river where we had close up views of monkeys, macaws, lizards, and crocodiles. The Casa was spacious with enough room for everyone. My only wish was that we could have stayed another week!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
