  • Tamarindo in March fantastic

"I echo the other reviews in stating this house and location are great. The house is up the street a block from the main strip through a small town. The house was perfect for our two families of 10 total, beds were great. A/C was great and pool area wonderful for hanging out. Modern grocery was five minutes away, and town was small but very laid back with lots of options to eat. We liked we could put both rental cars in the garage and come and go with two sets of keys and garage door opener. Almost every morning the howler monkeys would come through the trees which was a huge bonus. We cooked in the big kitchen several times and maid service was nice to have. W/D made clean up from the beach easy. The beach was walking distance and you can rent chairs and awnings right there as well as beers and sunset empenadas. Truly a relaxing time watching the kids boogy board and surf. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Next time I will really debate whether we needed rental cars, hardly used them."

  • A hidden gem with Lake access!

"We, a party of 6, stayed at Stephanie and Ron's beautiful gem for a total of 13 nights. We loved the layout and space available to us, especially the big living room/kitchen area and the deck. Getting to it at night can be challenging since the "Turtle Cove" sign is partially damaged. Jorge, the property manager, was kind enough to wait for our delayed arrival because we got lost a few times. :) Unfortunately, the weather wasn't that great but the never-ending winds were just right for the die-hart windsurfers amongst us. It's important though to let new tenants know that the road to the property is a dirt road so that people can make decisions about the type of car and car insurance to get when coming to stay here. Nevertheless, it was an okay enough road with a regular car. Thank you again, Stephanie and Ron, for letting us stay at your beautiful property! We would definitely recommend this place this to others who want to stay near Ticowinds or who do not mind driving 45 min to see the volcano, go on hikes, or enjoy the hot springs."

  • Wonderful Villa, thank you!

"We are two families from Canada, a group of 10 and spent 9 nights over New Years Eve at this Villa. We booked this home based on the reviews. It certainly lived up to all the great comments. It is spacious, plenty of room for everyone; however the bedrooms are not very private, the kids with you in loft. I won't repeat all the good stuff everyone else has said, so I'll just add to it. Groceries, wine, and beer all readily available at Super Compro in Huacas; you pass right through from the Liberia airport; an easy 1.15 hour drive. We arrived at night, and just got a bit lost right near the end but managed to find it. We enjoyed walking to restaurants for dinner. There's a new restaurant called Shakas, a wood fired pizza place, Kiki's and taco hut on the beach. All were good. We had Mireya cook 2 authentic CR dinners for us. It was DELICIOUS! We paid for the groceries and then gave her about $40 tip. She cooked with her daughter, and they were both very friendly. Mireya doesn't speak any English, but her daughter and son helped. We booked one trip through her son (as previously said in comments) to an adventure place; zip lines, white water tubing, horseback riding, mud baths, hot baths. It was a full day, very enjoyable. We had some trouble communicating to Carlos and I think we both misunderstood. The trip was $800 US. We thought we could pay him when we got home so we didn't have to carry all that cash. But when we arrived by his bus, he wanted the cash. They didn't take Visa. So we figured it out eventually and the day was good, but be very clear with him. After that, we drove our own car to different activities. We went in a boat up the Estuary and saw monkeys, crocodiles and birds. We went hiking near the volcano and swam in 3 different waterfalls. We took a night tour of a secluded beach and saw the big turtles laying eggs, and a nest of baby turtles emerging and running to the ocean. That was the highlight of our trip! All in all, it was a fantastic trip! Just a few words of caution as stated in previous comments; the only rental car company that had any cars was Alamo. We booked a month ahead from Canada and put a deposit. They didn't have our car or my sister's car. We were stuck! So they eventually found a Toyota Rav4 (very old, standard) and in the end it cost us $1800 CA. My sister ended up at Budget with a SUV and spent about $1500 CA. VERY EXPENSIVE! That was really the only bad thing that happened."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
