  • The place to stay in Tamarindo

"If you're looking for accommodations in Tamarindo Costa Rica, Villa Andalucia is the place to stay. The rates are some of the best you'll find for the quality of your accommodations. Set about 5 minutes from the beach, the villa offers you a quiet night sleep away from the bustle of the main street but everything is easily accessible on foot or bike. Jolene and Gary are excellent hosts that will point you in the right direction from dinner, dessert, beach, shopping, activities, etc. They can help set up your excursions as well as transportation to and from the airport. Breakfast is provided during your stay which helps with your daily costs AND it's absolutely delicious. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. You can swing in hammocks, swim in the pool, or simply enjoy your casita. There is free wifi and cable as part of your stay which allowed me to work a few hours during the trip without any problems. The rooms themselves are well kept, clean, and spacious. The decor feels like a lush tropical get-away with class and taste. No cheesy or tacky decor that can sometimes be found in resorts and B&B's. Each villa has air conditioning, private baths, a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, etc. in case you want to prepare some of your own meals. If you do rent a vehicle (which is not necessary) there is safe parking right in front of your room. The rooms are highly secure and have a lock box for your valuables. If you want to bike, bring chairs to the beach, or bogey board these items are available for your use. We highly recommend the Villa Andalucia if you are staying in the Tamarindo area, 5 star accommodations without having top pay 5 star prices."

  • Condo Rating

"The condo was newer, clean, and everything was in very good condition. It was a 5 min. walk to the beach. Really enjoyed the week I stayed there."

  • Wonderful vacation spot

"This guesthouse was perfect for our 9 days in Costa Rica. Nan and Paul (the owners) are right next door and provided us with information on trips, restaurants and activities. Nan and Paul are also wonderful trustworthy people who really care about their guests. The guesthouse is clean, spacious and a perfect location to sit outside in the mornings and listen to (and see) birds, monkeys and sounds of the jungle. We felt right at home. We would suggest renting a car because this location is a great jumping off point to other "playas," towns, hikes and adventures (which Nan and Paul will help you choose). We rented from POAS and they delivered the car to us for no extra charge (and they are right across the street from the airport for the trip back). Kayaking, walking on the beach, good restaurants, and swimming in the ocean are all right there. We visited Playa Panama, Tamarindo, Guaticil, Arenal and had great experiences at each. We would recommend Roberto's (Playa Hermosa), Mangrove (Playa Panama) and Father Roosters as great restaurants - all on the beaches. We wouldn't have found them without Nan and Paul. Can't say enough about the wonderful experiences we had that were launched from this guesthouse. Be sure to go. Our only regret is that we didn't stay long enough, another 4 or 5 days would have been even more perfect. We would highly recommend this guesthouse and Nan and Paul as owners."

  • Amazing spot to chill with the monkeys

"My family had a fabulous time at the treehouse! What an amazing spot, with lots of exploring for our nine-year-old daughter. The highlight, of course, was the daily visit from the howler monkeys -- what a treat! The treehouse itself was just as described, with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Nearby Playa Negra and Playa Junquillal were also terrific spots to enjoy the sun and sand. A relaxing trip to remember!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
