  • Amazing location for an authentic Costa Rica beach experience

"Our family of 12 (6 kids aged between 13 and 7, 3 couples) spent Christmas at Playa Garza. The house was perfect for our needs: comfortable, friendly, a great beachfront garden with outdoor shower and unique direct access to a beautiful beach. I was nervous about the sleeping arrangements but it worked out perfectly: 4 girls slept in a room with 2 queen beds, the 2 boys slept on bunks adjacents to the living room, and then there were 3 rooms for the couples that included the owner’s apartment which had a balcony, TV, fabulous view of the ocean. The house has a lot of character, it is nicely decorated and is well appointed for cooking, and feeling at home. The bathrooms worked well, there was hot water, and were very nicely finished (2 full baths in the main house that we were sharing among 2 families of 5, and the apartment had its own bathroom). Eliza and Greta the housekeepers were unbelievably helpful (I speak a bit of spanish), kept the house clean, prepared us some lunch and dinners and even prepared fish that my sister in law caught earlier in the day with Eliza's brother. Before we arrived Ginger did the groceries for us, it is important to specify sizes as most items are purchased in large size. We did not run out of food! It was awesome, no shopping while we were there. The location of the house is in the center of Garza, a fishing village of 100 people. The main road is right by the entrance and there are neighbors and ambient village noises. Across the street there is a small corner store, a church, a bar and a little place where you can get Vitamix made juices. So it was the real Costa Rican village experience, we loved it, we were not looking for seclusion in a golf course. A 10 minutes drive away from there was the Nosara Yoga Institute, surfing at Playa Guyones with Agua Tibias (these guys took all 10 of us surfing everyday), zip lining with Miss Skynopy, and the exceptional Nosara Monkey Refuge (you need an appointment to see baby monkeys rescued by Brenda Bombard). Amazing, amazing vacation. To top it all, Ginger coordinated for us fireworks on Christmas day -- the most beautiful fireworks on the beach!"

  • Awesome House, Awesome Location

"My family and I just spent the 2011 Christmas holiday here and had an outstanding experience. The house is very much like the pictures and in many ways better ( pictures don't do the ocean views justice). Bob was very helpful and more than accommodating in every detail, he very much wants your time at his home and Las Catalinas to be special and memorable. The house was new, well kept and very clean - the housekeeper Evelyn was a real joy, very personable and prepared great breakfasts. The bedding is very comfortable and everything you need in a house rental from kitchen utensils to beach towels are there, no disappointments. We spent many sunsets and evenings on the top floor roof deck where the views of the ocean and night sky were amazing, my son snagged the adjacent room for the stay. The Las Catalinas area is a very interesting ambition and has a wonderful start with a small beach front community that feels very warm and friendly. There is a restaurant (Lolas) with great food and a store front (Pura Vida) that rents everything you need for fun on the water and mountain biking. We have spent many years traveling to CR, renting homes in different areas (Osa, Manual Antonio, Dominical, Palo Seco, Jaco, Hermosa, Tambor, Mal Pais, Los Suenos) and can honestly say this was one of the nicest and most complete stays we have ever had. We will be back...."

  • Incredible Views, a Beautiful House and a Perfect Vacation!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your stunning home. From the ceiling in the garage to the glass bricks letting actual light into the closets to the amazing view and pool. We loved it all. Mornings were busy with surfing, zip-lining, and exploring and the afternoons were spent enjoying the rain. Thanks again for a wonderful opportunity and we will send some photos your way next week. Dane and Debbie."

  • Great location!

"Great location, right in the middle of town. Condo was comfortable for 2 couples. We found some great restaurants in the area by using trip advisor, there is also a list in the condo. We did try a place called "soda" there is more to the name, authentic CR food, and inexpensive, very good! If someone meets you at the condo be sure to arrange house keeping to come at your leisure. No one met us. Master bathroom is large but needs work, getting into the shower is a LARGE step and it leaks down the side, water all over the floor. Kitchen was equipped for what we needed. Pool is quite, not a lot of loungers. They don't like you to bring refreshments in plastic containers from your condo. Try the combo tour, zip lining, horse back riding, water rafting (2), mud bath, hot springs. Can't wait to go back to CR, but will try another property."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
