  • Greetings from South Carolina

"Hola! Suzanne, Just wanted to thank you for inviting us into your home. We had a great time and fell in love with your staff! We especially were attached to Berne and had a good time with him. He has a very welcoming personality and we had fun exchanging our Spanish/English languages with him. Lola was fabulous too! We met several locals that we now consider family and couldn't have asked for better weather. We really appreciated your hospitality...your home is beautiful...your personal touches and artwork were priceless! We enjoyed zip lining, river tours, turtle tours, the food was phenomenal and the people were warm and very genuine. We relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the wildlife mornings and evenings. This is an experience we will never forget and hope we can return one day! Muchas Gracias!"

  • Great vacation

"Just returned from Casa Surfside in Portrero,C.R. after spending ten days with my wife and two other couples. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. We arrived at Liberia airport and rented a car, and drove about one hour to get to the house. Jorge, who is the new caretaker, met us at the house, and answered our initial questions about where to buy groceries, good restaurants, etc. The house itself had nice bedrooms, a kitchen and living room with a tv, and a great deck looking out to the ocean where we had our coffee in the mornings, and cocktails at night watching the amazing sunsets. The ocean was a short walk thru the backyard to a great beach, that we all enjoyed taking walks on, when we weren't playing in the water. The pool area was perfect for lazy afternoons reading a book, and for evening swims. Mark, the owner, was very helpful with suggestions before we left about who to contact for scuba diving, which was a blast, golf at Hacienda Pinilla, which was in great shape, and where to go to rent kayaks, bikes, or boats for fishing. The local restaurants, such as Perla's and the Shack, had a good variety of food whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If you are looking to do a road trip to other beaches, then Playa Grande and Avelanas are great beaches with minimal development, and great waves, while Tamarindo offers a more touristy town with lots of shopping, and a great beach. Overall we had a great time at Casa Surfside, it met, and exceeded all of our expectations. We will certainly recommend this trip to our friends, and look forward to returning ourselves in the near future."

"My wife, daughter and a her friend stayed here for 2 weeks this last winter. We had a lovely time and this place was everything that was advertised and more. Very well maintained. Freddy was not only a great caretaker but became a good friend. He made sure we were happy with everything. We really enjoyed the horses and riding on the beach and through the forest. I simply cannot say enough good about this place. If you choose to go here you will not be disappointed."

  • Great Property, Great Host!

"My wife, two kids and I had a 3 week dream vacation in Costa Rica and were delighted that two of the weeks were at this property. It was great location in a very safe complex. Plenty of room for us cook, spread out and relax. Access to the "Magic Jack" internet phone was a much appreciated plus. Both the owner and manager were very responsive to our inquiries. We hope to return again!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
