  • Awesome location and it has all we needed

"I had such a great time, I truly didn't wanted to come back. Of all the South/Central American countries I have visited Costa Rica is my favorite. The ocean is magnificent and the people so friendly. Surfing was a blast, every day great waves. We started using the two boards you left in the cottage to test the waters and then rented boards from "Agua Tibia" for a few days. Weather was great, only one day rained and we took it easy and waited for the rain to pass then back to the water. Love the location of your cottage and it has all what we needed to be comfy. Secluded yet within walking distance from everything. I made friends with the neighbors, the coconut lady, surf shop guys and the two guys who sell coffee cups at the beach. We went to the local supermarket (playa pelada) and bought our groceries there. People at the super were friendly and happy to see us and help us. I think we saved money by cooking at the cottage as the local restaurants are really expensive. I went to a coffee tour up in the mountains (Hojancha), totally worth the drive and got up at 5am every morning to watch the 12 or so monkeys travel to the tree behind your cottage. Check out went on without any issues, Virginie was helpful and friendly. I tried to avoid organico as his prices were stupid high ($6 for a quarter gallon of milk) and there are another 4 little markets like him around the area and charge a fraction of the price. I will be back for sure."

  • Perfect Nosara setup

"My family just returned from our Costa Rica vacation and couldn't be happier with our stay at Agua Dulce. It was the perfect location for us. We wanted to walk to the surf at Playa Guinoes and being able to walk to the shops and restaurants. Our 2br place was perfect for our kids (14 and 12), the pool was refreshing, wifi was a hit (I said we wouldn't use, but we did :), and the AC kept everyone cool at night. Great place, great time, memories we will have until we get back again! Thank you"

  • Spring Break at Casa Olaje

"Family of five with two boys (13 and 11) and daughter (9) had a fantastic time at Casa Olaje. The house is in a great location, close to everything. Easy walk to awesome beach. House was very comfortable with a very nice pool. We rented quads and four-wheelers to get around for longer trips around the area. Jaimy and AnnMarie were very helpful. We will definitely be back."

  • Best Family Vacation Yet!

"Villa Bougainvillea is absolutely immaculate, beautiful and has all of the amenities you are looking for in a "home away from home". Although there are other properties near Villa Bougainvillea, the landscaping makes it feel completely private and comfortable. The ocean waves are audible from the terrace or the living room if you leave the patio doors open. There are 2 private "en-suites" which make it great for large groups / families that want their own privacy. For travelers going during "dry" season, please note that at times your water will be turned off. This happens not just in Villa Bougainvillea, but throughout Guanacaste, especially the last month of dry season - which is when we traveled there. It is usually turned off in the early morning for about an hour. Not too inconvenient. If you travel any other time, you should not run into this problem. Location is great and "centralized" to get to many other places easily. "Special Places of Guanacaste" concierge services were outstanding and made excursion arrangements ahead of time and also last minute. They did a wonderful job, and our family did not miss out on any Costa Rican adventure. The locals around Villa Bougainvillea are so pleasant, and the nearby Restaurants were great and have some live free entertainment - fire throwing-belly dancing-flying yoga and more. Make sure you explore the volcanoes, go white water rafting, surfing, horse back riding and ATVing. ATVing is so much more fun in Costa Rica than anywhere in the U.S. Also, if you think that it is impossible to surf, guess again. Special Places hooked us up with a SUPERBOLOUS surf instructor, and my kids and I actually "rode the waves" for the first time ever. EXHILARATING! Villa Bougainvillea is HUGE, beautifully decorated, has the most comfortable sleeping arrangements, incredible view, large and clean pool and a wonderful waterfall in entrance foyer that has great ambiance. Any family would enjoy there stay here!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
