  • Spectacular!

"We have stayed in many Villas all over Costa Rica and all I can say is, we were very impressed with Villa Catalina. The Villa itself, it's location, the views and the beach club all make this an amazing place for your next visit. Don't think twice this is worth every penny, we will definitely be returning soon."

  • "Best Vacation Ever!"

"Summed up by our 6 year-old, "Best vacation ever!" This was our first trip to Costa Rica and the owner and property manager made sure we felt right at home. The location permits you to do as much or as little as you like. Playa Hermosa is idyllic. An uncrowded paradise just 25 minutes from the airport, the beach was calm and perfect for swimming. The pool was steps away from the patio. We could sit under the fans with a cool drink while our daughter swam and played just steps away by the pool. The condo itself was beautifully decorated, with high-end finishes, a well-equipped kitchen, high-speed internet and plenty of beach towels. We awoke to the sound of waves. What more could you ask for? There are several excellent dining choices a short walk down the beach. My daughter loved the food and beachy atmosphere of Aquasport. I was partial to La Casita del Marisca (get the Snapper VaraCruz style.) We were pleased to see (and frequently hear) howler monkeys right from the condo. We adopted an iguana, though we left it behind for fear of what U.S.customs might think. We were picked up right off the beach for a snorkeling trip with Captain Alphonso. A few days later, we were picked up again, this time by his brother and nephew, for a sensational half day of fishing. We took a river cruise to see monkeys, crocodiles, jesus lizards, bats, iguana and myriad other animals. We zip-lined over canyons and waterfalls. We sat by the pool with ice-cold Imperial's. We did exactly as we liked, and we were never far from Playa Hermosa. I would recommend this property and location highly. We will definitely go back - there is so much to do!"

  • just what we were looking for

"We can't recommend this house enough. The house was comfortable, the beach was private and beautiful, the water was warm, the surroundings were amazing! Cheo the caretaker was kind and helpful, sharing homegrown squash and taking us to a nearby fishing village (at 6 AM) to buy delicious red snapper right off the boat. His lovely son treated us to young delicious coconut. Pat, a nearby neighbor and local contact was helpful and friendly, and directed us to a wonderful butterfly/bee tour with Mike. Thanks to all of you."

  • Perfect spot!

"My wife, five year old daughter and I spent twelve days at this villa and it was fantastic. The villa is clean, quiet and secure. All the windows and doors seal tightly keeping out the bugs which made my wife very happy! The master bed was incredibly comfortable, something you don't encounter very often down there. The beach is literally a two minute walk. It is perfect for young kids and has consistently great waves. The pool is clean and shaded during the mid day which is great for catching a break from the rays. This was our sixteenth vacation to Costa Rica and this villa is an absolute gem. We'll definitely be back next year!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
