  • Vacation of a Lifetime

"Luxury is the first word that comes to mind when I’m reminiscing about Rancho Deluxe at Playa Camaronal - on so many levels, from exclusivity, to the on-site service by Yorleny & Santos, to the accommodations provided by your generous host Jerry. To echo other reviewers, there’s not a lot that can be said that “hasn’t been said before” (not to mention the fact that EVERY single guest has given 5 stars). Nevertheless, I’ll attempt to give some insight into what I consider an “experience” of the highest order. First of all, I’m a building contractor, so my perspective is colored through that lens. Upon arrival, it’s clearly evident that the design and construction of this “estate” was done by true professionals. (No small feat in this remote locale-Jerry, I’d love to get some details on logistics, procurement, etc.) So I wasn’t surprised to learn that Jerry is a design/build contractor. Thus, you needn’t worry about basic concerns, from power, A/C, water pressure, hot water, wireless etc. Unfortunately for me, I have a very sensitive stomach. Therefore, I never use anything but bottled water while travelling, even to rinse off a toothbrush. With that in mind, the first question to Jerry upon our arrival was the potability of his water. His response, “I have a deep well that my grandchildren drink from,” was music to my ears. My girlfriend is a consultant and had a lot of work to do during our week-long stay. She was able to have conference calls on her cell with consistent wireless connectivity to her PC (with quite a view I might add). Rancho Deluxe at Camaronal is truly a marvel. Jerry’s recommendation for our lone night out at Hotel Punta Islita was spot-on. The food, service, and views were top-notch. I would also suggest taking a short hike down to the beach following a small arroyo through Roberto’s property. We did it several times and really enjoyed it. (Probably for the more adventurous minded!) Get the details from Santos. If you do it, bring mosquito repellant and leave enough daylight for the return trip. We will always be grateful to have had such an amazing trip and plan on returning as often as we can. The fact that Jerry shares his wonderful property (and at such a value) says all you need to know about him. I think everyone can certainly have the time of their lives there. But I would also say that seasoned travelers will undoubtedly appreciate the experience that much more. Jerry, thank you so much! We’re still buzzing six weeks later."

  • A Great Holiday Spot

"Very safe condo with a great location to restaurants, Playa Flamingo Beach, and shops. Every morning we walked down to the Mariner (5 minutes) for coffee, breakfast and conversation with other travellers. We had plans of touring the whole country during our visit, but their were so many beaches on and off the beaten track to explore so we stayed within 35 Km of the condo. Condo is clean and supplied with all amenities. The view to Playa Flamingo Beach is breath taking. The pool is huge and the picture doesn't do it justice. It is a great refresher after walking up the hill to the condo. All staff associated with this building and the condo itself are extremely friendly and helpful. Although we rented a car, it was easy to walk all around Playa Flamingo."

  • Phenomenal Villa for anyone!!

"My husband and I recently visited Costa Rica and stayed at this BEAUTIFUL villa. We have never stayed in anything this nice before, not even on our honeymoon. The villa is very spacious, yet the layout is perfect and has that "homey" feel to it. Our favorite part about the villa was the infinity pool. It was so nice to have our private pool when we didn't feel like going to the public one or the beach. The Villa has surround sound speakers so you can plug in a phone and play music throughout the house which is awesome. The beds were extremely comfortable because they had memory foam mattresses (at least the master bedroom did). We loved having a kitchen so we could cook meals on days that we didn't feel like dining out. The property is extremely clean and there is a cleaning lady that comes every other day. The concierge (property managers) were very helpful, they helped book our tours and get us taxis when we went into town. We chose the sunset cruise and the water rafting tours which both exceeded our expectations. The property is located in a gated community which is on the same grounds as the Westin hotel, so you have access to the beach, pools and restaurants. There is a free shuttle that can take you to the beach or you can enjoy a nice 2 mile walk down to these amenities. The location is perfect, close to other beaches such as playa avellanas and playa grande which are great for surfing and it is about 15 minutes from Tamarindo which has shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Just past flamingo beach there is a place called Las Catalinas which is a beautiful outdoor restaurant with swings, hammocks, couches, lawn chairs, corn hole and they serve great cocktails and food. Another place we enjoyed for lunch was Lolas, which was located on playa avellanas. I enjoyed a few beers and read my book in a hammock while watching my husband surf. So relaxing! I would recommend this property to anyone! My husband and I enjoyed our alone time and having this place to ourselves, however we both agreed that it would have been great to have a few other couples with us b/c it was spacious enough for a big group. We hope to get the chance to come back to this beautiful villa again!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
