  • Great place to relax and enjoy Costa Rica beach

"My 23 year old son and I wanted to have an exotic adventure together and we are so glad we found Casa Pastor! It was even more beautiful than the pictures, clean, open and gorgeous. Since it was only my son and I we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms, but it would easily handle much more. Everything we needed in the kitchen, boogie boards, umbrella (we arrived at the start of the rainy season, but it was gorgeous in the mornings and most afternoons). Alex and Carol, thank you for sharing your paradise with us, I will be back with my wife next time (and maybe some of our other children). David, your care as the property manager was tremendous, helpful, friendly and always on-time. Thank you for helping us by phone when we got flat tire on the way to Miss Sky zipline."

  • Best spot in Nosara

"We (along with two other couples) had the pleasure of staying at Ginger Powers' Rancho Authentico for a week. We arrived after dark from Liberia, and Ginger was there to greet us and show us around. When we woke up the next morning, we couldn't believe it -- breathtaking beach, sunshine galore, and all of the beach amenities you could want -- lounge chairs, towels, outdoor shower, it was fantastic. Photos don't do it justice. It's bigger and better than the photos (and the photos look really fabulous). Before our trip, Ginger was very responsive on e-mail and helped us connect with local fruit/meat vendors who were able to deliver food before we arrived. There's a new gas range in the house that worked great, as did the blender for fruity cocktails. The craziest thing about this place is how quiet and un-touristy Playa Garza is. Many days, we were the only people on the beach. We felt as though we had an entire cove to ourselves. There were several funky beach bars that we could walk to at night (again - NO crowds and amazing star gazing). Playa Giones is a short 10 minute car ride away for more restaurants and shops. And, you can catch a boat for a fishing trip right there on the beach. We did several excursions, but also entertained ourselves in the water by body surfing and boogie boarding. The waves at Garza are tame enough for recreational swimming -- occasionally, the waves were good enough for actual surfing. But Guiones and its big surf was so close, it's not a big deal to travel where you want. Plaza Garza is VERY clean. Clean beach, clean water, no signs of pollution, jelly fish, etc. It's a PERFECT beach! We are still dreaming about this place and need to figure out when we can return. A couple of things we noted for future travelers: Bring ear plugs if road noise or high wind noise bothers you. We had a couple of very windy nights at the house with almonds/coconuts falling on the tin roof most of the night. Also, the house is right off the village road, and rush hour in Costa Rica is much earlier than in the U.S. (think, 5:30a.m.). Since the house is open-air, all of these sounds travel right into the house. Also, bring plenty of sunscreen if you don't want to fry (we ran out of sunscreen on the last day -- oops!). Ginger -- We will be back!"

  • The Beach Nest ~ Wonderful!

"We came home (Bellevue, WA) last night from out stay at the Beach Nest. WOW what a wonderful experience. We have been to Tamarindo before but this penthouse is the best. The moment you enter you know you are in a special place. The renovation is first class. We were two couples so the two master suites was perfect, in fact it was hard to rate one suite over the other. The kitchen was great, since we like to cook in for about half of our meals. The living area is beautiful to look at but also very comfortable. The balcony area is a definite plus, since the sunsets are the VERY BEST from there. We watched a sunset from the beach also but it was still better from the balcony. There is balcony for the upstairs suite also which a great place to lounge while reading a book or just taking a nap. It was very warm this year so we appreciated how well the air conditioning worked through out the penthouse. Joel was wonderful as always (our 3rd time with him), he gave us an update on the restaurants and made sure we were taken care of upon arrival and arranged a driver to Liberia for our departure. Nothing unexpected which we really appreciate when traveling. We arranged our own sunset cruise on the Antaris sailboat, I would highly recommend this cruise, it is truly unforgettable; great food, live guitar music and the bean bag chairs on the deck were wonderful. Costa Rica and the Beach Nest...AMAZING!!!"

  • Wonderful stay at Casa-Banda!

"We had a wonderful, relaxing time in a beautiful oasis in a jungle. If you can imagine a Hollywood film star going to a resort in Costa Rica, this is it! Listening to the unusual birds in the morning was magical, and the chirping (quietly) geckos at night. We walked down to the beach at Playa Pelada; it was scenic with rock outcrops, uncrowded, and plenty of sand for sunbathing. We enjoyed watching the terns, pelicans, egrets, osprey, and frigatebirds diving for fish. Don't miss visiting Lagarta Restaurant just down the road from Casa-Banda. The view of Rio Nosara, estuary, and shoreline is incredible and very romantic! Bibi and Arne are wonderful hosts and a wealth of knowledge. We enjoyed hearing many great stories about their lives in Costa Rica. We hope to return again!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
