  • Jade Coast 3 Tamarindo

"Excellent property with well equipped kitchen(could use some more large bowls), beautiful pool (even tho the pool lights never worked) and well furnished bedrooms. The internet was down for 3 days but Bluewater properties sent someone to repair it. Sandra (the maid) was wonderful and kept the place clean and tidy in spite of 6 adults and 3 children. The A/C in the master bedroom blows down onto the bed and caused us both to go down with colds. The security guys were friendly. Bluewater property management were wonderful. Everything we asked for was supplied. Would definitely recommend this property. The sunshine was lovely but we found Costa Rica to be too hot as it was 30-33deg celsius everyday which precluded doing too much during the day."

  • Beautiful beach

"We stayed at this condo for 4 days to visit the community. It's a lovely, out of the way place. The beach is long, beautiful, and clean. It's a good surfing beach sometimes too. Walking in the hills above the condos we saw howler and spider monkeys. The condo is well equipped and comfortable. Make sure to stock up on food and toiletries before arrival as stores are a ways away. The manager was very helpful as are the owners. Overall, a great vacation spot!"

  • Simply Amazing!

"My husband, 8 month old and I just returned from spending 3 weeks in Costa Rica at this perfect character home just a few minutes walk from the beach. It was one of the best vacations we've ever had. The house was absolutely perfect for us. It offers a great shaded outdoor patio and sitting area (great for cocktail hour with friends!) and a gorgeous pool with a waterfall and lots of shade for our little one. The home also came fully equipped with a fully functional kitchen (including all necessary utensils and needs), plenty of towels (GOOD beach/pool towels!), laundry room and air conditioned bedrooms. I also loved that the bedrooms came with mosquito nets which gave me peace of mind for my sleeping 8 month old. Unfortunately, like many places, Costa Rica suffers from petty theft but we felt very secure with the 24 hour security gate and guards. The owners and local property managers were incredibly responsive and went out of their way to ensure us a comfortable stay. Another highlight of the house was it's incredible proximity to the beach. Every day we would pack a bag and a cooler and walk down the short path to the beach to watch the sunset to cap off the perfect day. There are no homes directly on the beach in Playa Guiones and I have to say that the houses in the Beach Club have one of the quickest access points to the beach! It is also super close to all the fabulous restaurants which we frequented almost every night. All in all, I would highly recommend this rental to anyone and everyone!"

  • Hidden Gem in Paradise

"I am a seasoned traveler, having stayed at many resorts, hotels, private rentals, etc. all over the world for both business and pleasure. We traveled to Barefoot Villa on October 27th, with my wife, daughter and her two university girlfriends for a period of 1 week. We found BV to be everything it was described as, and more. It is set on a dead end road surrounded by lush green trees and flora native to the region, tranquil and quiet, conveniently located close to town and spectacular Guiones Beach. We were treated to the marvelous cooking of Nina; 3 healthy locally inspired meals a day, with fresh meats we purchased at the pescaderia (fish market), and local general market nearby. Everything else was provided prior to our arrival for off the shelf value plus a 20% service fee. Well worth the price and reasonable daily rate (we saved a small fortune by avoiding the restaurant option). We also procured the cleaning services of Laura 3 times during the week (one was included with the rental), which again was well worth the modest rate. Both ladies were well tipped for their awesome efforts. The house itself was spectacular; elegant and practical, with abundant space for the five of us. Angie has taken great care of ensuring all instructions, tips, local contacts, and everyday living details are carefully documented and accessible. We felt at home right away, and comfortably secure with the comprehensive yet easy to use security system. Our method of transportation was private shuttle from and to Liberia Airport, and 2 ATVs rented from David at Harbor Reef Hotel for local daily outings. This provided us with amazing opportunities to get to know the local area and beyond, without having to necessarily stay on the main roads. Angie has negotiated a discount with David's Guiones Beach Gear which made the ATV rentals very reasonable and far cheaper than a local car rental. Barefoot Villa also offers 3 bikes, 2 surfboards and a couple of boogie boards which were well used every day. All in all I would rate Barefoot Villa as one of our very top vacation rentals, in a spectacular and so far secluded region of amazing Costa Rica. We will be going back! I am happy to provide a personal reference, you can get my contact information from Angie."

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
