  • A hidden gem with Lake access!

"We, a party of 6, stayed at Stephanie and Ron's beautiful gem for a total of 13 nights. We loved the layout and space available to us, especially the big living room/kitchen area and the deck. Getting to it at night can be challenging since the "Turtle Cove" sign is partially damaged. Jorge, the property manager, was kind enough to wait for our delayed arrival because we got lost a few times. :) Unfortunately, the weather wasn't that great but the never-ending winds were just right for the die-hart windsurfers amongst us. It's important though to let new tenants know that the road to the property is a dirt road so that people can make decisions about the type of car and car insurance to get when coming to stay here. Nevertheless, it was an okay enough road with a regular car. Thank you again, Stephanie and Ron, for letting us stay at your beautiful property! We would definitely recommend this place this to others who want to stay near Ticowinds or who do not mind driving 45 min to see the volcano, go on hikes, or enjoy the hot springs."

  • Excellent property and even better owner

"We had an amazing Christmas at new years staying at Casa de Memphis I. The property is in really great shape and is just as described and pictured. The local property manager was attentive, and the one minor repair that was needed during our stay was accomplished quickly and painlessly. We brought our 4 children, ages 6-12. The older ones had a great time surfing in Guiones, and the younger ones found all the boogie boarding and swimming they could want. This property is truly as close to the water as one can get. (Costa Rican law limits building on the water, preserving a nice natural boundary between the home and the sea.) The best part of our experience was actually working with Dave the owner. He has lots of good information for us ahead of time on renting a car, planning of the trip, etc. He sent us email at various points before and during to make sure we would be all taken care of. It was a great experience."

  • Beautiful place, not enough privacy

"I was torn on giving 3 or 4 stars...I gave 4 because I didn't want to bring his rating down too much. The property is gorgeous, right on the beach, amazing food very close by, but at times we felt like we didn't have enough privacy. The owner was a very nice guy, very informative, but talked way too much sometimes. It felt like he was constantly trying to sell us something, his books, a time share, some photos of cows in the unit we rented. He also joked with my boyfriend about women, and saying how he was taking so long to run our credit card because there were two women renting the other unit that he would stop and talk with. Frankly I felt a little uncomfortable at some points walking past him in a swim suit to get to the beach. I saw someone else's review about the place being great for 55+ and I think that's accurate. For a 26 yr old, lets just say I'd never go there without my boyfriend. But again, the property is beautiful, the dogs running around on the beach are very nice and playful. The hammock was great, but I would recommend a bigger one that two people could lay in. He was also realistic with us about petty theft and the likelihood of property being stolen. Happy to report nothing was stolen while we were at Plumita Pacifica. He also had great recommendations for places to eat at, all very close by. All in all, still pleased."

  • Amazing views of the jungle and coast line!

"we really enjoyed our Christmas holiday time with the family in this spectacular home and setting. We loved the Spanish style to the home. We were happy spending the entire day- starting with coffee in the rockers overlooking the jungle with all the birds on the top balcony. We loved the pool and patio area in the afternoons- very hot, though- but just the way we like it. We had our cocktail hour on the balcony at kitchen level, watching the sunset and enjoying the increased activity in the jungle. We enjoyed viewing the howler monkeys in the trees and all the different birds. In the evenings, we had our dinner by the bbq at another balcony/patio with the large round table . It cooled down in the evenings- but we were happy to use the air conditioning in the bedrooms at night. Going to the beach was simple- a ride down the hill to one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Very simple to park along the beach edge, where we set ourselves up for the day with chairs and cooler. It's a bit of a ride into town so we tried to stock up as much as possible. The road can be quite steep up to the house so a 4 wheel drive is useful. At this time of year, it was dry and not a problem. The home and location met all our expectations and made for a very memorable vacation in Cost Rica!"

Guanacaste Travel Tips

Guanacaste Beach Rentals Give You the Real Costa Rica

If you are looking for long summer days on beautiful coastlines, Guanacaste beach rentals are for you. Vacations in Costa Rica can be filled with activities, sun, and sand. Enjoy the stunning shoreline, top-notch surfing, snorkeling, and so much more when you stay at Guanacaste resorts. The province is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family or the ideal spot for a romantic honeymoon.

Breathtaking Vistas within the Guanacaste Resorts Regions

All along the eastern borders of the province you will find a chain of volcanoes, many of which are visible from some Guanacaste beach rentals. The volcanoes meet the Cordillera de Tilaran and Cordillera de Guanacaste mountain ranges and offer plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and other high elevation activities. The views in this region are particularly breathtaking, especially when you reach Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Area with its lush forests filled with exotic plants and animals. No one ever said vacations in Costa Rica would not be gorgeous!

Vacations in Costa Rica Offer a Little Culture

As you plan your stay in Guanacaste resorts, you might appreciate learning a little bit about the local culture. The region is rich in culture and even takes its name from the word “quahnacaztlan” which is actually the word for the Guanacaste tree in the native language. This tree also happens to be the national tree of the country. Vacations here, especially those at Guanacaste beach rentals, will allow you the opportunity to see what the real Costa Rica is all about.

The Best Way to Reach Your Guanacaste Beach Rentals

Because it is a foreign country, vacations in Costa Rica do take some planning. The easiest way to reach Guanacaste resorts is to fly into Liberia and land at the Daniel Oduber International Airport. From the airport, you may either rent a car or take a bus through Guanacaste up the Pan-American Highway which is quite scenic. You will even catch a glimpse of the volcanoes on your way.
