  • Perfect location for our Costa Rica Adventures

"We just got back from staying here for 10 days in April 2015, and had a great time. We had 5 people total -- 2 adults and 3 kids. It was a fantastic place for us, and by the end of the trip, the kids were playing cards and dominoes, and didn't even miss their electronic devices. This house had plenty of room, with beds to spare. The hammocks were relaxing and fun for the kids as well. We saw amazing wildlife on the property - frogs, birds, and even a sloth falling out of a tree and climbing into another tree. There were geckos in the showers, and our kids got a show at night watching the geckos and lizards eating bugs on the ceiling. The kitchen served our needs perfectly for our meals, and we were close enough to restaurants and town to walk if we wanted to. We were within 20-30 minutes drive of amazing places, like Cahuita, the Jaguar Rescue Center, Manzanillo, and waterfalls and chocolate. And, if we just wanted to hit the beach, we just had to cross the street. Carter is a friendly, fantastic host. We had fresh, organic bananas daily, and he helped us set up excursions, like a canopy tour. He gave us a complete tour of the property, and they even have a nature trail on site. Their 4 dogs were gentle and sweet and practically visited daily. Puerto Viejo was a great place to visit, and I highly recommend staying at with Carter and Pamela at Finca Loco Natural!"

  • Casa musa

"We really enjoy our experience at Casa Musa, such a beautiful place, a few meters from an awesome white sand clear blue water beach, we must have to come back as soon as possible. Highly recommended."

  • Very comfortable

"We stayed with our grown-up family in Feb/Mar 2015 and found the house quiet and relaxing. It is big and spacious, and pleasantly cool when the shutters are open, except for the upstairs bedroom which gets hot during the day - but this room has air con if you need it. We found that overnight that bedroom cools and we never used the air con., just the fans was enough. Our favourite space was the verandah, which has plenty of room and is shaded - a lovely place to enjoy looking at the trees and birds whatever the weather. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are all fine and the management made sure we had wifi. The location is good if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Viejo, which can generally be reached by walking along the beautiful Playa Negra beach (depending on the tide!) The local facilities are great. the Point is ten minutes walk away, on the beach, and does good food and great beers. The Banana Azul hotel is just a few minutes away, also on the beach, and is very happy to welcome casual visitors to use its bar, its super restaurant and other facilities (eg bikes and beach loungers) - you can have the best of both worlds, home and hotel! We all had a great time and will definitely go back."

  • I fell in Love with this place!

"I stayed at The Bounty for almost 3 weeks in November of 2014. I loved it! Susanna who manages the property not only answered all my questions (and I had a lot as this was my first time to the area) but she also helped me make arrangements for transfer to the area which was a lot of fun! (My friend and I white water rafted our way down from San Jose at her suggestion). When we arrived in the evening, we were met by Chilo the caretaker who was so friendly and helpful. The house is right on the beach and a shirt walk to town (took us about 20 minutes on the beach, faster if we walked on the road). There is a small market about a 5 minute walk away with a nice little beach bar with great food across the street. The house was exactly as described and absolutely beautiful! I left the window shutters open and the ocean breeze was amazing. I fell asleep and woke up to the sound of waves and the birds. After my friend headed home, I was alone at the house and never once felt unsafe. It was great to have the kitchen, WiFi and laundry at the house. Linda, the owner, came after I had been there for a few days. She lives in the other half of the house (duplex) and she was so awesome to be around. She had so much info about the area and helped me multiple times. A genuinely wonderful person to be around. This house was far enough away town that it was quiet yet close enough to get their easily. There were many days that we had the entire beach, for as far as you could see, to ourselves. I HIGHLY recommend this property!"
