"My boyfriend and I wanted to stay in a treehouse in the jungle and got more than we could of hoped for! The house is beautiful, inside and out and the landscaping and graciousness of our host only added to our incredible experience. We stayed for four nights and left wishing we were staying another four weeks. Carter was so welcoming and we enjoyed seeing his band perform in town twice while we were there! He was always available by phone or in person to answer questions, bring us fruit grown on the property or provide recommendations. He facilitated our zip lining tour and gave us very honest advice regarding other tours, which we were very grateful for. Every detail of the home is beautifully done and is only accentuated by the secluded jungle surroundings. We made 1-2 meals each day and the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and kitchenware, including a coffeemaker, toaster, blender, etc. The beds were comfortable and the showers were hot! The outdoor shower and multiple clothes lines were also very much used and appreciated. The house is close to town and right across from the property is Playa Negra and a great beach bar called The Point which we went a few times (try the Red Snapper!). Overall, we would HIGHLY recommend this home or any of the others for rent on his property and would love to return in the future!"

"Casa Zorro was a wonderful retreat, close to town (right on the edge of the southern part) where my daughter and I stayed for a week while exploring the area. It was roomy, had everything we needed, and was walking distance to everything in town. It had drinking water, which was a bonus so we did not have to buy while we were there. Any questions I had were answered right away. I appreciated the extra security (the outside locked gate, as well as the extra lock on the front door), plus the safe in the master bedroom where we were able to lock our passports and any electronics that we brought with us. I would recommend it to anyone!"

"We stayed at Casa Mambo for a week in early November and found it to be a very special place. There were 4 of us, but it would accommodate 6 easily, being 3 bedroom. The living spaces are completely open; the bedrooms have secure doors and comfortable beds with mosquito netting to sleep under. Although, I don't think we saw a single mosquito! We did see lots of frogs, and revelled in being surrounded by the sounds of insects and birds, especially in the early morning. You know you are in a special place when you see Keel-billed Toucans flying into the trees! Our hosts were very experienced, but also very low key. They made sure we had everything we needed, and gave us suggestions for things to do and see while there. I especially appreciated feeling like we were staying in a close-knit neighborhood. The house was well-equipped, and we enjoyed cooking there. There were fans in each of the rooms, but I would have loved a ceiling fan in both the living room and on the big covered deck. Would have made it even better! It was nice to be able to walk 10 minutes or so to the beach, and to the neighborhood restaurant and bar! The main town, with lots of restaurants and shopping, is an easy 20-25 minute walk away. A great place to chill out for a week."

"I rented The Bounty with a group of my friends in June 2015. Not only was the house comfortable & clean, it was in the perfect location! The living room was cozy with a couch, two chairs, and a 4 top kitchen table. The kitchen had a gas stove with oven, plenty of counter space, and all the plates/cups/utensils you need. Unfortunaly the fridge was the kind that has an icebox on the top, so when you fill it the temp drops, & it won't freeze well. That's honestly my only complaint though! The rooms had nice sheets & good mattresses. The bathroom was clean & spacious. And most importantly, it has screens on the windows & plenty of fans! (We've sadly had an experience at a different rental house which didn't not have screens.... Bad news)
One of the best features is that it's a 45 second walk to the Caribbean ocean! Which is soooo warm year around!!! The Banana Azul is a resort down the same road The Bounty is on, about a 4minute walk away. This resort is really nice, pool, bar, restaurant, whole 9yards. They have bike rentals for $6 a day & they staff was so polite, inviting us to use all there amenities! With our bikes, we could now ride to the center of Puerto Veijo in 5min! (And the town of Puerto is awesome!) The Bounty has a fence around the property so our cars and our bikes were safe at night. They have clean towels to use, mats to lay out at the beach, noodles & bougie boards, and even 2 hoses to rinse the saltwater off after you swim.
The property manager Susan was great as well, recommending and even arranging activities for us in the area. Not only would I recommend this house to just about anyone visiting Costa Rica, I'll probably be back myself! :)"
