  • A Beautiful Getaway With Access to Many Adventures

"My only complaint on this trip was the HEAT ! OMG ! But other than that this was the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Often I would sit on the balcony and just listen to and watch the wildlife everywhere around Casa Silver Dolphin, a beautiful house immersed in the jungle just a few minutes from the beach where I snorkeled every day. My host Jason took me on several adventures that were just incredible... The Jaguar Rescue Center, The Cahuita National Park (snorkeling with a nurse shark and hanging out with Capuchin Monkeys), waterfalls in two locations, snorkeling from a boat, hiking in the jungle and trips into town for souvenirs and fun. Best restaurants: The Point Sports Bar and Grill in Playa Negra and Kokie in Puerto Viejo. Jason is a great host and the Casa Silver Dolphin is a beautiful getaway. The listing description was accurate regarding the location and the listing photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The property was clean and well-maintained and Jason was helpful in answering all my questions and concerns. I have recommended this property to my family and friends."

  • A Perfect Holiday!

"Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed the week over New Year's in paradise! The house was large, very comfortable and kept spotless. The yard and pool area were spectacular and kept in immaculate shape. Sara and Nando were great hosts, readily available and more than willing to answer our multiple questions. Sara was instrumental in coordinating transport to and from San Jose though Junior Palmer - who we would highly recommend. She also suggested a day tour with Junior which was educational, challenging and loads of fun. Sara also organized a cook for us to prepare breakfast and dinner each day. Sherry was informative, helpful, fun as well as a great and, very accommodating, chef! She is also a talented "Dirty MInds" player!! Casa del Mango is minutes to the beach, bars, restaurants and the Calhuita National Park. Although we did a couple of tours, visited the beach and the town our fondest memories of our visit was the time spent at the house - by the pool checking out the howler monkeys, iguana, sloths, birds and frogs from the comforts of our lounge chairs and at night on the back porch enjoying a few beverages while playing cards and silly board games. It was a perfect holiday for all 7 of us with ages ranging from 20 - 50+! Our only complaint...it wasn't long enough! A couple of things for visitors... The town is quite safe - we all felt very comfortable wondering about. Locals were helpful and pleasant. Make sure you have cash - there is only one bank/atm in Calhuita and it is often out of money. Some places in town charge up to 13% for the use of VISA. Make sure you visit the Tree of Life Rescue Centre, Calhuita National Park, Reggae Bar and Sobre las Olas Restaurant. Thanks Sara, Nando and Sherry for a wonderful holiday and sharing your little piece of paradise with us for a week! Hopefully, we will be back!"

  • Simply Amazing Villa in Puerto Viejo

"We chose Residencia Kenia to celebrate our honeymoon and were delighted with our stay. It is an exceptional property in the area and expertly decorated and maintained. We were treated to an open air villa, private pool, jacuzzi, game room, etc. The caretakers keep the property immaculately maintained each day. They also offer a breakfast service which is very nice. The property is gated and very secure. We had access to a private stretch of beach as well. Puerto Viejo is a very short drive or bike away. And yes, there are bicycles to use free of charge at the property as well as boogie boards and other fun stuff. The property manager and caretakers were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable of the area. I highly recommend Residencia Kenia if you are looking for an exceptional stay in Puerto Viejo."

Limon Travel Tips

The Less Traveled Part of Costa Rica Found in Limon Beach Rentals

The Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is a beach-lover’s dream and that is where you will find Limon beach resorts. The Limon region is set apart from the rest of the country, so it offers something completely different to visitors since it is the least traveled. Spanning 125 miles, it is almost always hot and humid. Vacations in Costa Rica to the Limon province allow you to experience the country as many people typically do not. Boasting prehistoric rainforests, white sandy beaches, and unique wildlife, Limon resorts offer you one of the most memorable vacations ever.

Limon Vacations in Costa Rica Are Like No Other

If you are interested in vacations in Costa Rica, you should not miss the Limon province. Booking Limon resorts may be easier than other regions of the country as this is a far less traveled area. Situated just a short drive from San Jose, Limon was once a major banana port and is known to be the melting pot of the country. During Carnivale, the city turns into party central and is definitely something to experience.

If You Love Nature, You Will Love Limon Resorts

Taking vacations in Costa Rica allows you to see one of the more lush countries in the world. The rainforest is not the only reason to explore the Limon region. The coast is rich in wildlife as well and some of the best scuba diving opportunities await you just outside your Limon beach rentals. Home to several national parks, Limon boasts Tortuguero National Park and Cahuita National Park, Limon. Both offer an array of wildlife viewing and the latter is also the home to the last indigenous tribes of the country--the Cocles, Bribri, and Talamanca Cabecarv.

Set Your Sights on the Sloth near Limon Beach Rentals

If you need a small break from the day-to-day bustle of the city and beach near your Limon beach rentals, one of the best ways to break the cycle is to head over to Vargas Park. The park is not too far from most Limon resorts. Go ahead and grab a seat near the drooping seawall and keep your eyes open for some sloth. These slow creatures stay pretty well camouflaged and move incredibly slowly but love to hang out at this park. And when you are not sloth-spotting, try some local fare and shopping. It will be one of your most memorable vacations in Costa Rica yet.
