  • Celebrating Turning 30 in CR!!!

"We rented this little villa last minute for my husbands 30th birthday. We went in October as we REALLY don't like to be "touristy" we want an immersion experience. I'll get the cons out of the way first. They don't have a sign, so if you are arriving at night (we did) after driving through the rain forest all day (we had) it's a tad bit difficult to find. Also we wanted the twin beds that could make into a king bed, but we were so tired and road worn and we couldn't find the king sheets to put on the twins. Also trying to put them together just made for not great sleep. Also in the "master" the shower is really tiny, but honestly to us it just meant we took individual showers instead of showering together. The pros: There is a pool right outside your door, also the beach is literally 3 min across the yard. So awesome you can hear the beach at night. Plenty of towels including beach towels, cooking supplies provided, fridge, washer and dryer (loved washing all our clothes before heading back so that I came home to clean clothes and not a pile of laundry) and even the coveted air conditioning. I loved the area. There is a restaurant and bar walking distance up the beach and it's actually really good. We ate there quite often that they started recognizing our faces. The best margaritas EVER. I paid close attention one night and that is now how I make 'em at home! We will definitely go back and we'll camp out right here at Casa Fiesta. I will say though I will try and get a commuter flight from San Jose to Limon!"

  • Great Place To Stay

"A very comfortable place to stay and explore the local area. Great service from the manager Mike, who had a wealth of knowledge about local services and amenities, as well as the geography of the area. Thoroughly recommended!"

  • The ultimate tropical experience!!

"We stayed at Casa Amarilla for a few nights and we loved it!! We were traveling with relatives from Canada and Punta Uva was our first stop in Costa Rica. When we arrived and they saw the jungle in the back and that when opening up the doors you could completely connect the indoors with the outdoors they were a bit scared at first but loved it afterwards! At sunset or sunrise it is amazing to stay at the second floor terrace and listen to all the jungle sounds. The beach that is just a few blocks away is gorgeous and on the way to the beach there is also a grocery store where you can find most of what you need for your stay. The house is as nice as you can see in the pictures and is well equipped. We were looking for a house that had the typical caribbean vibe but new and clean and we certainly found it. The only thing we found a bit odd was the first level layout because the bed is in the kitchen area. Maybe a low wall or even having a sofa-bed could add more privacy or disimulate it a bit. But the truth is that at the end of a day at the beach you are do tired that everyone goes to bed at the same time. We look forward to coming back!"

  • Paradise

"I spent a week in this home and can't stop thinking back to that visit. Great location on the edge of a huge nature preserve everyday will filled with new sighs and sounds from the jungle. Really clean, well appointed, I wasn't wanting for anything. The pool became a mandatory 3pm visit, so refreshing after a hot day of exploring. The care takers are really friendly but not intrusive, just the right balance. Don't forget to have dinner at Maxi's during you visit, great people and great food. After having rented quite a few places on VRBO this is an absolute 5 star experience in a tropical paradise."

Limon Travel Tips

The Less Traveled Part of Costa Rica Found in Limon Beach Rentals

The Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is a beach-lover’s dream and that is where you will find Limon beach resorts. The Limon region is set apart from the rest of the country, so it offers something completely different to visitors since it is the least traveled. Spanning 125 miles, it is almost always hot and humid. Vacations in Costa Rica to the Limon province allow you to experience the country as many people typically do not. Boasting prehistoric rainforests, white sandy beaches, and unique wildlife, Limon resorts offer you one of the most memorable vacations ever.

Limon Vacations in Costa Rica Are Like No Other

If you are interested in vacations in Costa Rica, you should not miss the Limon province. Booking Limon resorts may be easier than other regions of the country as this is a far less traveled area. Situated just a short drive from San Jose, Limon was once a major banana port and is known to be the melting pot of the country. During Carnivale, the city turns into party central and is definitely something to experience.

If You Love Nature, You Will Love Limon Resorts

Taking vacations in Costa Rica allows you to see one of the more lush countries in the world. The rainforest is not the only reason to explore the Limon region. The coast is rich in wildlife as well and some of the best scuba diving opportunities await you just outside your Limon beach rentals. Home to several national parks, Limon boasts Tortuguero National Park and Cahuita National Park, Limon. Both offer an array of wildlife viewing and the latter is also the home to the last indigenous tribes of the country--the Cocles, Bribri, and Talamanca Cabecarv.

Set Your Sights on the Sloth near Limon Beach Rentals

If you need a small break from the day-to-day bustle of the city and beach near your Limon beach rentals, one of the best ways to break the cycle is to head over to Vargas Park. The park is not too far from most Limon resorts. Go ahead and grab a seat near the drooping seawall and keep your eyes open for some sloth. These slow creatures stay pretty well camouflaged and move incredibly slowly but love to hang out at this park. And when you are not sloth-spotting, try some local fare and shopping. It will be one of your most memorable vacations in Costa Rica yet.
