  • Fabulous family fun : )

"We had so much fun!!! 3 adults and 2 twelve year old boys with miles and miles of jungle = you can't go wrong! We loved the house, the people of Manzanillo, and the beaches. The caretakers kids (next door) were wonderful--they took us on a jungle trail to a cave! Our kids played with them the whole 3 days and had a blast--even tho they spoke different languages, they still managed to play water games and explore the jungle trails together. The house was great for the 5 of us. The only complaint was that the internet didn't work. I was expecting this, however, since I have stayed in Manzanillo before and internet is spotty all over Costa Rica. We just went to Maxi's and used their internet when we needed to make a Skype call or check email (but their internet was hit or miss, too). We loved this jungle house, all the people of Manzanillo, and can't wait to go back for a longer stay!"

  • Perfect spot for a family get away

"We made our first and I am sure not our last trip to Costa Rica with our 9 year old twins and my Mom and Dad who were visiting from South Africa. The house was perfect for our needs, with more than enough space for the 6 of us. The house was clean and had all the amenities we required. The views were amazing from the big expansive deck, both during bright sunny days and thunderstorms at night and early mornings. Every night we watched as the monkeys balanced across the telephone wires much to our amusement. Silver, the gardener was very helpful and was even kind enough to get us some coconuts and open them for us. The proximity to town was perfect for us, not too close to be bothered by the hussle and bussle but a short drive or bike ride away. We will be back for sure!"

  • Cool House With Jungle Feel

"We stayed here in January 2012 and it ended up being the highlight of our tour of Costa Rica, we even extended our stay as we loved this house and the area so much. This is a beautiful house, simple in style but with gorgeous wooden floors and stunning colors. We loved hanging out on the big terrace, watching the hummingbirds and toucans and just enjoying the peace. It also turned out to be a perfect location for exploring the area as you're in between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo and near to the best beaches (Punta Uva was our favorite). There are also loads of restaurant dotted along the main road (we liked the organic cafe near Playa Chiquita) and a supermarket conveniently located as you reach the main road. Highly recommended, great value for money as you also get maid service if you want it."

  • Amazing Stay at a Truly Remarkable Guest House

"My wife and two children (ages 2 and 5) stayed at the Big House for five days. It will be remembered as one of the best vacations we have ever had. The house is amazing, surrounded by forest and teeming with wildlife. A female sloth with baby hung out right above our patio and we spotted a male sloth a couple of trees over. The howler monkeys were a constant presence, not to mention toucans, morphos and parrots. I spotted an agouti one day on the way to the beach. Speaking of the beach, it is beautiful! On the most crowded day we had to share a mile of beach with six other people. Everything about this place is amazing. Our kids are already begging us to go back. A big gracias to Jose, the night watchman for the great conversation. We wish you and your family the best. To Luna the cat, thanks for your constant company. Make sure you hit Selvin's, Pan Pey and Elena Brown's for some great Caribbean meals. This was my fourth visit to Costa Rica and the Caribbean side is now my new favorite."

Limon Travel Tips

The Less Traveled Part of Costa Rica Found in Limon Beach Rentals

The Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is a beach-lover’s dream and that is where you will find Limon beach resorts. The Limon region is set apart from the rest of the country, so it offers something completely different to visitors since it is the least traveled. Spanning 125 miles, it is almost always hot and humid. Vacations in Costa Rica to the Limon province allow you to experience the country as many people typically do not. Boasting prehistoric rainforests, white sandy beaches, and unique wildlife, Limon resorts offer you one of the most memorable vacations ever.

Limon Vacations in Costa Rica Are Like No Other

If you are interested in vacations in Costa Rica, you should not miss the Limon province. Booking Limon resorts may be easier than other regions of the country as this is a far less traveled area. Situated just a short drive from San Jose, Limon was once a major banana port and is known to be the melting pot of the country. During Carnivale, the city turns into party central and is definitely something to experience.

If You Love Nature, You Will Love Limon Resorts

Taking vacations in Costa Rica allows you to see one of the more lush countries in the world. The rainforest is not the only reason to explore the Limon region. The coast is rich in wildlife as well and some of the best scuba diving opportunities await you just outside your Limon beach rentals. Home to several national parks, Limon boasts Tortuguero National Park and Cahuita National Park, Limon. Both offer an array of wildlife viewing and the latter is also the home to the last indigenous tribes of the country--the Cocles, Bribri, and Talamanca Cabecarv.

Set Your Sights on the Sloth near Limon Beach Rentals

If you need a small break from the day-to-day bustle of the city and beach near your Limon beach rentals, one of the best ways to break the cycle is to head over to Vargas Park. The park is not too far from most Limon resorts. Go ahead and grab a seat near the drooping seawall and keep your eyes open for some sloth. These slow creatures stay pretty well camouflaged and move incredibly slowly but love to hang out at this park. And when you are not sloth-spotting, try some local fare and shopping. It will be one of your most memorable vacations in Costa Rica yet.
