  • Great Experience!

"We had a great time at the house! The water is warm and calm and monkeys and sloths can be seen all around. One of our favorite pastimes was sitting on the large porch, sipping delicious local coffee and watching for animals. Chena, the manager, was very helpful from start to finish. She assisted in everything from getting us help loading in luggage and groceries from the other side of the creek when we arrived, making delicious meals, and organizing day trips. One of my favorite trips was guided by Chena's cousin, Tino - we hiked from the house to Punto Mona and learned a lot about the native plants and animals as well as enjoyed a swim in a lagoon with a boatride back! Also great day trip was to the Jaguar Rescue Center in Puerto Viejo - while there were not any jaguars there while were there, there were tons of different animals, from owls, to cats, to sloths, to anteaters. Not only are they doing good work but the guides are super knowledgeable and you can go into the monkey house and interact with them! There is a family that lives on the property - Claudia does an excellent job at any laundry or cleaning needs you have. We had her come in twice for a fresh up - it's affordable and nice to have a clean floor as you will be barefoot most of the time. One thing I would note is that the creek was never dry when we were there. And, the water was often mid-shin or knee high. While this is not really a big deal, for your comfort I would advise bringing one more pair of shoes than you think you should because things do not dry very quickly in the forest. Would definitely stay here again, thank you for sharing, Kathy!"

  • Great Place To Stay

"A very comfortable place to stay and explore the local area. Great service from the manager Mike, who had a wealth of knowledge about local services and amenities, as well as the geography of the area. Thoroughly recommended!"

  • Up close with the Jungla.

"This was my second stay at Long House. This house is part of Congo-Bongo which offers a full service of laundry and house cleaning. it is wonderful. the staff and owners are super friendly and helpful with your plans for activities. The pictures show how beautiful the house is and they don't lie. Be aware that the houses are very open air, except the bedrooms, so there will be bugs! it is the jungle and that is why you came. To be up lose with nature! We love this whole area and hope to return again."

  • Luxury camping

"It's hard to explain the casa if you've never seen anything similar but I always loved to go camping and this can be described as a luxury version of it. It's a big (2 decent bed and bathrooms), well maintained but open house. It's situated in a part of jungle so you'll be part of it all and jungle will sing you to sleep. It's a magical experience enjoying nature from so close while being in a well protected environment. Also the owner and housekeeper are very friendly and are their to guarantee you'll be having an excellent time. Recommended."

Limon Travel Tips

The Less Traveled Part of Costa Rica Found in Limon Beach Rentals

The Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is a beach-lover’s dream and that is where you will find Limon beach resorts. The Limon region is set apart from the rest of the country, so it offers something completely different to visitors since it is the least traveled. Spanning 125 miles, it is almost always hot and humid. Vacations in Costa Rica to the Limon province allow you to experience the country as many people typically do not. Boasting prehistoric rainforests, white sandy beaches, and unique wildlife, Limon resorts offer you one of the most memorable vacations ever.

Limon Vacations in Costa Rica Are Like No Other

If you are interested in vacations in Costa Rica, you should not miss the Limon province. Booking Limon resorts may be easier than other regions of the country as this is a far less traveled area. Situated just a short drive from San Jose, Limon was once a major banana port and is known to be the melting pot of the country. During Carnivale, the city turns into party central and is definitely something to experience.

If You Love Nature, You Will Love Limon Resorts

Taking vacations in Costa Rica allows you to see one of the more lush countries in the world. The rainforest is not the only reason to explore the Limon region. The coast is rich in wildlife as well and some of the best scuba diving opportunities await you just outside your Limon beach rentals. Home to several national parks, Limon boasts Tortuguero National Park and Cahuita National Park, Limon. Both offer an array of wildlife viewing and the latter is also the home to the last indigenous tribes of the country--the Cocles, Bribri, and Talamanca Cabecarv.

Set Your Sights on the Sloth near Limon Beach Rentals

If you need a small break from the day-to-day bustle of the city and beach near your Limon beach rentals, one of the best ways to break the cycle is to head over to Vargas Park. The park is not too far from most Limon resorts. Go ahead and grab a seat near the drooping seawall and keep your eyes open for some sloth. These slow creatures stay pretty well camouflaged and move incredibly slowly but love to hang out at this park. And when you are not sloth-spotting, try some local fare and shopping. It will be one of your most memorable vacations in Costa Rica yet.
