"This place does everything a beach house should. It's steps to the sand, lots of space to lounge indoors and a beautiful pool and outdoor entertaining area if you want a break from the sand. It won't take you long until you're in the groove. Swim, eat, sleep... maybe a couple of sunset cervesas and a bonfire under the stars. The house is perfectly positioned in a quiet part of the beach, easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. As keen surfers, we had perfect waves on our doorsteps and had little reason to wander far. We'll definitely be back!"

"This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Jaco. It is located in a beautiful complex , within 5 mn walk from the beach, close to restaurants and a supermarket. The apartment is delightful: spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and the kitchen fully equipped. Dale, the owner was very accommodating when our flight arrived early, long before the normal check-in time. The staff on site is also very helpful, arranging sight seeing trips and transportation if needed. I highly recommend this property : it provided a wonderful setting for a memorable family vacation in Costa. Rica. Could not ask for better. Martin E."

  • Very comfortable and quiet

"We really enjoyed this complex and found it to be about 1/2 to 1/3 of the price of something on the main street in Jaco, which is an incredible bargain, and something we wanted to avoid anyway, traveling with an 8 year old. Everything was in excellent working order and the beds and A/C were wonderful. It was amazing just to leave the slider door open and feel as if you were outdoors all the time. It is steps from the pool, but upstairs so there is still tons of privacy. The gate was always promptly opened for our car coming in and out multiple times a day and the kitchen is well stocked. If you are in need of full-home air conditioning, this may not be the place to select as the A/C is only in the bedrooms. It got hot in the afternoons, so if we were home, we were either in the pool or taking naps in the bedrooms with the A/C on. For the price, however, we felt it was worthwhile and we wanted the feeling of doors open and being outdoors having just spent the last 8 months shut inside during a cold Chicago winter. We loved this place and appreciated the extra pillows, safes in both bedrooms and the location to the pool. Wonderful stay!"

  • Much more than just a "Casita": wonderful hosts, outstanding home

"My wife an I enjoyed Semana Santa 2015 in La Casita. The place description is very accurate but you may need to be a novelist to transmit with words what the place and the hosts Joyce and Chan really make you feel. The property and The Casita are a piece of art, so much welcoming. Joyce and Chan had taken care of every detail but specially the gardens full of Heliconias and all kinds of greens and colorful plants. Their gardener Gilberth is very smart and polite, easily recognizes every plant variety and kindly offers you to take home any "child" plant you like. Maria the maid cooks "gallo pinto" and fresh fruits for you every day. The drive up is only 300 ft, easy for any small or mid-size SUV or pick-up truck when it is dry, although you may need 4x4 if wet. It was a great "home-base" for us to enjoy the near-by Playa Uvita (Whale tale), Playa Ballena Beach Club Villa Leonor and Ojochal fine restaurants, we even took a quick 1-hr drive to Sierpe and enjoy an afternoon river boat tour. Come over and discover more on your own."
