"I had the pleasure of staying at Oceano and I must say it was the perfect getaway! Backing onto the beach with private access the palm tree covered property is quite stunning and situated in a great location.
Whether you want to spend time at the beach catching the sunrise/sunset (which are next to none) or at the pool, both options are fully at your disposal. They also offer a great outdoor covered area with BBQ, making it a perfect spot to spend time with friends and family.
Owners Rupi and Karin are great people, very accommodating and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The caretakers Ronald and Bernie are super friendly and keep everything in great shape; rooms and property are always clean, with laundry and meal options available at your disposal.
With Puntarenas being a cruise ship destination there are many day trips and overnight adventures that one can choose if they wish; hot springs surrounding the Arenal Volcano and zip lining through the mountains at Miramar just to name a few.
Overall my experience in Costa Rica was next to none, and staying at Oceano was the perfect choice! Thanks to Rupi and Karin for providing the perfect place!

"Our stay at Villa tranquility was nothing short of amazing! It was very clean and comfortable! The pool and terrace was our favorite place to hang out. The owners were extremely helpful assisting us to set up local tours. We went fishing and caught different species of fish and felt very comfortable with our captain (Cesear). We had some meals at home prepared in the gorgeous kitchen and also enjoyed some meals at local restaurants recommended by the owners and were never disappointed. We rented a car and found everything just a short drive away and the roads to be in very condition and easy to navigate. This place has everything you need for a relaxing trip to Costa Rica!"

"As reflected in the title of my review, you cannot beat the location of this villa. Nestled in rainforest with panoramic views overlooking the pacific ocean. You can sit at the pool and watch the waves crash and white water rumble to shore while watching amazing sunsets, iguanas sunning in the trees, and toucans flying from branch to branch. The location for exploring all the best of southern Costa Rica has to offer is unbeatable too. Dominical is such a happening quaint surfer beach town with enough going on to keep anyone happy. There is a grocery store in Dominical but also a much bigger one in Uvita just 15min south. To the north is Manuel Antonio Park where we headed early one morning for a jungle hike along maintained trails. Saw 3 kinds of monkeys, 5 sloths, dear, raccoons with red tails, huge bugs ext.... then stopped at one of the beaches/lagoon areas in the park, swam and snorkeled the rest of the day. Just to the south of the home, Kelley the homes concierge, set us up with a snorkeling, dolphin and sea cave excursion out of Marino Ballena National Park. A different view of this beautiful country from the ocean looking inland, gorgeous! A great excursion that grandparents enjoyed too. Another excursion to the south Kelley set up for us that our teens and I loved was the zip lining through pristine rain forest of the Osa Peninsula. The longest line we zipped on through the forest trees was 1600ft long, exhilarating! Loved this vacation! We celebrated one evening by having the chef come cook dinner for us. They must have someone new because these two ladies knocked out a surf and turf menu to die for. Appetizers, main coarse, and desert were excellent. Sara was great keeping the house fresh each day. We had a little trouble with a problem but it was handled by Flora so adequately its not worth going into. Flora was great to work with. Have no fears while booking this home. Thank you for the memories!"

"My wife and I and 3 boys (7, 10, 12) stayed here for 11 days. We all had a blast! This house is pretty much all screen windows from floor to ceiling, so it really feels like you are sleeping outside in the jungle. The noises are incredible, especially in the early morning when the Howler monkeys, parrots, and every other jungle critter makes its presence known. The boys couldn't have been happier seeing both Howler and White Faced monkeys several times on the property, and toucans and parrots are around daily. We also saw a Tamarindo Anteater a few times. There is a nice trail through the jungle to the beach, which is absolutely fantastic. In all the days we spent on the beach, we probably saw 10 people total. Playa Arco, which is accessible via a short trail from the beach out front is without question the most amazing beach I've ever been on. Groceries and a nice assortment of really good restaurants are a short distance away in either direction.
David and Natalia were very helpful in setting up a activities for us, and were super responsive and quick to lend a hand when we had questions, which is not something you find at many VRBOs.
The boys also fell in love with "Flacco" their yellow lab that led us to the beach daily and kept us company. Give him some water and attention and he will take you where you need to go.
The boys cried the morning we left so it was obviously very special for them. If you are wanting to get away from the resorts and crowds and have a true CR experience, I don't think you can go wrong here."
