  • BEST HOUSE ON THE OSA - MAGICAL AND LUXURIOUS!!!!

"Hello fellow travelers!!! My fiancee and I were fortunate enough to have found Life's a Wave a few years ago. We fell SO in love with the house that we went back for ten days the following year, and then when we got engaged a few months later, we both knew exactly where we wanted to get married - our "happy place" on the Osa peninsula! Lara and Bill graciously opened their house to us this February for our ceremony on the beach in front of their house. We stayed at the house with 4 of our best friends and then 50 of our closest family and friends joined us on the Osa (taking over most of the other houses on the peninsula) for a week of wedding celebrations and pure bliss!!! Life's a Wave is the most special house that we've ever experienced. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are immaculate, the views are unbelievable, and the amenities are endless! The care takers, Lady and Olman will cook the most AMAZING meals and they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Waking up to the sounds of waves and the jungle, taking a private outdoor shower while watching the scarlet macaws and monkeys, drinking Costa Rican coffee on the deck in the morning while reading a good book, or dipping in the pool and ocean are all a part of the unforgettable experiences that you will have at Life's a Wave. Not to mention - the surfing, hiking, sailing, massages, and checking out Martina's, the local bar with delicious food and cocktails! The Osa has this wonderful rustic quality, and the house feels SO luxurious. The balance is spectacular - beyond words! We plan to come back to visit Life's a Wave every year for as long as we possibly can - It truly is magical. We highly recommend that you experience the stay at this wonderful home. We could not have done our wedding without the help of Lara - she is so generous, helpful, and she was SUCH a great resource for all of our guests' travel and logistics. She is amazing, her and Bill's house is beyond words amazing. Do yourself a favor, stay at Life's a Wave and explore the Osa Peninsula - Costa Rica's last frontier!!!! Cheers, Becky and Ian Armstrong"

  • Fantastic jungle home

"We had a fabulous time at the Sierpe del Pacifico property. If you are looking for a wild Costa Rican adventure, then you won't be disappointed. The home is beautiful, and the views stunning. We were awakened by howler monkeys every morning and found them sleeping on the property during the day, and most mornings a large troupe of white-faced capuchin monkeys passed right by the house. There were lots of birds to watch, and a fruit garden to go pick your own fruit...paradise found! We took a night tour of the mangrove and saw mammals (including squirrel monkeys), birds, crocs, caimans and snakes. We took a horseback riding tour and were wowed by the generosity of Rosita and her family on their farmstead; we went fishing in the ocean and caught five species of fish including red snapper, albacore tuna and roosterfish - while seeing porpioses and sea turtles to boot! The house is well equipped, the staff are welcoming and friendly. When we went in March it was hot and humid for us northerners - an outdoor shower might be a nice addition to the property for a quick cool down - but all in all we were wowed with this portion of our trip."

  • Great Place in wonderful Dominical

"Our five night stay here was simply delightful. Dominical, where we have been many times, is an easygoing relaxed place to visit which in and of itself is well worth going to on vacation. The townhouse was absolutely perfect and we could not be happier with the rental. It is located just above domincalito beach with wonderful views, peaceful mornings and easy access to all the activities in the area. The owner was very easy and straightforward to deal with...no problems there at all. I'd highly recommend this place as it is a "turnkey" way to visit the area and our trip to the area could not have been made any easier."

  • Cannot go wrong with this choice in manuel antonio

"We rented both levels of Villa Titi for 3 nights while we were in Manuel Antonio, and loved it - it is hard to go wrong as there are many things that will make this a great spot while in MA. 1. People: Everyone associated with Villa Titi are warm, responsive and helpful. Prior to arriving, John (the owner) was very helpful over the phone and email. The staff on location (remember this is a villa within a hotel) were helpful, and most importantly John's friend Rosa, who made us feel at home and less of a tourist - She spoke to us at least 2-3 times on the phone, advised us on what buses to take, what activities might be appropriate with kids, how to avoid getting ripped off as tourist, and even arranged our transport to San Jose with a wonderful car and driver - she is an excellent resource who makes you feel at home. 2. The Environment : Villa Titi is located in the Hotel Eclipse, which is a collection of villas on a cliff surrounded by lush greenery - there are trees, flowers and wildlife all around. You end up getting the best of both worlds - you own private villa surrounded by nature, yet creature comforts like a swimming pool or a hotel bar or laundry are a few steps away. We saw two types of monkeys, large garden lizards, and butterflies and birds - more animals than you will see at the national park. 3. The Location :You will not find a better location in MA - the hotel entrance is on the main road from Quepos to Manuel Antonio national park, and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel - the bus will take you to the Manuel Antonio beaches, the national park, and also Quepos and the supermarkets. You can also walk to all the other major hotels and restaurants ... they are all walking distance. For little kids, there is a mini butterfly garden about 200 meters (opposite the Si Co Mo No hotel) - you really dont need your own transport to get around. 4. Things you should be prepared for: a) Villa Titi is beautiful but its not luxury - Its a charming home with all amenities (kitchen+utensils, bed, A/C, open space, fast WiFi) but don't expect the four seasons - the bathroom tiles are an older design, and the sinks might be smaller than your fancy resort, but after about 10 minutes you dont notice it, and settle right in b) Manuel Antonio is expensive - Expect New York prices everywhere, and that everything is built for tourists c) Villa Titi has stairs - You are on a cliff so be prepared to walk up and down a fair bit"
