  • Amazing big family trip!

"It may be hard to imagine 11 family members in the same house for 10 days having a wonderful time. Yet the Rain Forest Lodge made that possible. We took advantage of the newly completed tent platform that includes its own private shower and toilet so that each of the four family units had their own sleeping space and privacy. It was absolutely perfect! Each morning we had coffee on the upper deck, watching and listening to the abundance of wildlife while enjoying a spectacular view overlooking the rain forest and the Pacific Ocean. Howler and Capuchin monkeys, toucans, vultures, iguanas and more were present every day. The pool (the best babysitter ever) was wonderful and especially enjoyed by the grandkids! The lodge was great for cooking for a large group with two kitchens, one at ground level and one on the upper level, and a dining area with a large table that seated all of us. The caretaker and his family live 3 minutes away and were extremely helpful in answering questions and maintaining the pool and lodge. When we could tear ourselves away from the lodge and our relaxing mornings, we ventured out to discover fabulous beaches, national parks, a wildlife sanctuary, restaurants, waterfalls, zip lines, a snorkel tour, surfing lessons and more. We plan to return again and can’t recommend the Rain Forest Preserve Lodge more highly."

  • Best part of our trip

"My wife and I spent a week here during our honeymoon in April 2014 - it was absolutely perfect and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The house has some of the best views in all of Costa Rica, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, lots of space - feels like a home away from home. There are several beaches a short drive away. The property manager was very friendly and helpful - she went above & beyond to make us feel at home. I would recommend this property to anyone."

  • Vistas Infinitas . . . Say's it All!

"Upon our late arrival, we were greeted with a big smiling welcome from Nickie (house manager), who showed us around your beautiful home! It was more magnificent than depicted on the website, extremely well appointed, kitchen fully equipped and comfortable beds! Every detail thought of, the fans, lighting, books, etc. The landscaping around the home was full of tropical foliage with landscape lighting at night actuating the lipstick palms to bougainvillea framing in the view of the Pacific Ocean from the porch! My wife and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with another couple and your home provided the perfect setting! Each morning began with gazing at the ocean as the sun rose revealing the colors of the flora of the surrounding mountains . . . after breakfast we explored the country, Quepos Fiera (Saturday), Hacienda Baru (nature trail and zip line), Manuel Antonio, the Organic Fiera in San Isidro (Tuesday's), and afternoon's in the pool (very private), until the rains refreshed earth, then the sunsets, what more can I say! We had visits from Toucan's, Humming Bird's and the resident frogs, a real treat! Showering using the outdoor shower, before dinner each night was Pura Vita with orchids peeping over the rail and the mountain side was the shower curtain! The broad selection of reference books gave insight to the birds, animals and culture of Costa Rica! We were so into the outside world that we didn't turn on the satellite TV at all. WiFi handled data transfer with no problem, and annoying bugs were virtually non existent at that altitude. 4x4 recommended, drive slow and look for wildlife! Nickie was a great help and wonderful to share when, where and what about Costa Rica . . . Perfect pick for us, thank you for sharing your home!"

  • Nice house to travek with kids

"We visit incognito house beach for a tiny end year vacation. We travel with 4 kids and some adults. The experience was very nice. The house is full equipment in the kitchen and has 2 bedrooms comfortables. In the 2nd floor there's a large room with a king size bed and a sofa for two. The sofa had an air bed. You can put another air bed in the floor to more people to sleep in. The conditioned air fail all the time in this bedroom. In the principal floor there's another bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom; so comfortable for a couple to sleep. The house has a large pool and you can walk to the beach by the house! You can't have to use the car to go to the beach and walk in the sand. The high tides arrive near to the backyard; for that reason there wasn't camping people and you have almost a private beach in Dominicalito! Dominical has a supermarket, there're some restaurants and food to deliver. If you want to know new beaches, you can go around to Ventanas, Ballena even Manuel antonio National Park. The beaches are rocky and the sand is dark but we enjoy the warm water, the trees that bring you a big shadow abd 2 km o a large beach to walk and get tan. The little cottage was rented for an aged couple. Not a problem for us, but the pool and BBQ area is for both houses. Alex help all the time and give you information about the activities to do and the house owner answer your mails so quickly. I would appreciate more information about the check out time before we arrive, because we have to leave the house at 7:30 am for another family check in at 10 am. Incognito is a beatiful destiny to go with family and enjoy the beach."
