  • Toucans, Hummers, Howlers, Oh My!

"Absolutely everything that the other reviewers said are true. We went during the rainy season, but it did NOT put a damper on our fun. The sun came out enough to offset the rain, and to watch the storms come in was part of the beauty. The house is exquisitely positioned to take in the views from the infinity pool looking out to the Pacific. We were lucky enough to have howler monkeys visit us on our last day, not to mention daily toucans, hummingbirds, frogs in the evening (looking for Frank), yellow birds, tanagers, and the list goes on. We loved spending the day exploring knowing that we had a paradise home to return to everyday. Be sure to hire Presedente and Vicky to prepare a meal for you. They are excellent! We also did the zip line, waterfalls, national parks (Haciende Baru close by and has a wonderful butterfly garden, just to mention one of its many features) Be sure to have at least a breakfast if not a dinner at Por Que No? Oh, the food was excellent and the view, magnificent. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We miss it so much since we've returned home to temperatures in the 20s! (You may have daily visitors of a few dogs. They are friendly and have extremely good manners)"

  • Great view! Great location!

"We had a great stay at Olas Hermosa. The view is fabulous and the location is central to quite a few restaurants and sights. We had a car but ended up walking to Dominical, the peninsula and the waterfall as well as walking many many times on the beach. Dave helped us get a fishing trip set up for a low rate with some other folks and helped us find lots of fun stuff to do! Manuel Antonio and Quepos, San Isidro are all very close if you have a car. A GPS is a must in Costa Rica but the driving is easy and the studio has covered parking in a gated area so no worries! The studio had a great kitchen and was very comfortable and roomy. All the comforts of home that you need, and Dave downstairs if you need something else! We had fun chatting with him and getting to know his area! We will definitely come back next year!"

  • Excellent stay for 5 at casa tangaroa in July

"My wife and I stayed at Casa Tangaroa in July with some friends. We really enjoyed everything about the house but some highlights of our trip: - struggling to get the car up the hill (and having to back up a few times) before I figured out how to turn on 4x4 - watching Costa Rica take the Netherlands to the brink in the world cup at a Domincal bar - Seeing at least 5 beaches that were completely different all south of Casa Tangaroa - Swimming in the pool and playing with the houses 'aqua-zookas' - BBQing salchichon or chicken or whatever almost every night - having the tide come in on us and getting a good set of rain at Marina Ballena - the tarzan rope at Pozo Azul - Getting the house full of giant insects when we left the window open a creek and the light on the first night ( be careful!) It's a really good time and I'd recommend it to anyone. I will not hesitate to call Neil again fi I need a place in the south pacific."

  • beautiful jungle house with spectacular views!

"We were lucky to spend a few days in Bosque en el Cielo. Great spacious house. The master bedroom is surrounded by windows, with a great view. Very quiet and serene and full of light. Dominical is down the hill if you need to buy groceries or go to a restaurant or go to the beach. Otherwise it was nice to relax on the infinity pool or on the terrace listening to the birds and animals. The pics dont do justice to the real beauty of this property. Would love to rent it again in the future!"
