  • Great group retreat

"We had a group trip here for ~45 people and Mira Selva was a great choice. Close enough to a number of greg beaches and sites and secluded enough that we didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone. Bernan and the staff were great and everyone enjoyed their stay. It's not one of the options, but I would definitely recommend this property for groups looking to combine a little work and pleasure."

  • Awesome!!! Didn't want to leave!

"We spent a week at Casa Mar Y Luna in late August and had a fantastic time. The house is perfectly located on a hill with spectacular views of the breaking waves along the coastline below. The house had lots of space for the 7 people in our group, with the outside deck being our favorite spot to hang out. Watching the sunset while sipping a cold drink as you cool off in the vanishing edge pool was the best way to end the day. Being surrounded by trees brought all of the wildlife right up to the house, with howler monkeys, sloths, toucans and vultures making daily visits. The house location was close to beaches, waterfalls, restaurants, sightseeing, and anything else you'd want to do in Costa Rica. The hostess, Tiffany, made the whole place even more spectacular. Her joyful personality and fantastic knowledge of all things Costa Rica were a real benefit to the property. And she knows her way around a kitchen, too. She cooked us a few delicious local meals as part of our reservation. We would definitely recommend this as an awesome rental property."

  • Incredible View, none compare we have seen

"The view and property is incredible and the house is older but very nice and has more than everything you need and will enjoy. The view will steal your heart away and keep you coming back again every night to the back deck for sunsets and the monkeys in the trees (even on the roof sometimes) and the toucans as well. What a beautiful place to relax and spend time doing absolutely nothing but looking, highly recommend!!!"

  • Amazing big family trip!

"It may be hard to imagine 11 family members in the same house for 10 days having a wonderful time. Yet the Rain Forest Lodge made that possible. We took advantage of the newly completed tent platform that includes its own private shower and toilet so that each of the four family units had their own sleeping space and privacy. It was absolutely perfect! Each morning we had coffee on the upper deck, watching and listening to the abundance of wildlife while enjoying a spectacular view overlooking the rain forest and the Pacific Ocean. Howler and Capuchin monkeys, toucans, vultures, iguanas and more were present every day. The pool (the best babysitter ever) was wonderful and especially enjoyed by the grandkids! The lodge was great for cooking for a large group with two kitchens, one at ground level and one on the upper level, and a dining area with a large table that seated all of us. The caretaker and his family live 3 minutes away and were extremely helpful in answering questions and maintaining the pool and lodge. When we could tear ourselves away from the lodge and our relaxing mornings, we ventured out to discover fabulous beaches, national parks, a wildlife sanctuary, restaurants, waterfalls, zip lines, a snorkel tour, surfing lessons and more. We plan to return again and can’t recommend the Rain Forest Preserve Lodge more highly."
