Relaxing and Private CASA ALOHA is a great vacation value
"This home turned out to be perfect for two couples. Both couples wanted a king suite and that is exactly what this home has. They are on opposite sides of the huge house providing plenty of privacy. The bedrooms open onto the pool deck where you are treated to a panorama of the mountains and rainforest. We enjoyed the birds and iguanas, lots of very lovely plants in the garden, but most of all, the monkeys. They must live nearby because they came everyday and entertained us for hours. It was easy to go to larger towns where they had shopping and tours, but every afternoon we came back to incredible sunsets and total quiet. Nearby were small restaurants where we had many wonderful fresh seafood meals. It was very authentic and natural, and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously."

"Our stay at Villa tranquility was nothing short of amazing! It was very clean and comfortable! The pool and terrace was our favorite place to hang out. The owners were extremely helpful assisting us to set up local tours. We went fishing and caught different species of fish and felt very comfortable with our captain (Cesear). We had some meals at home prepared in the gorgeous kitchen and also enjoyed some meals at local restaurants recommended by the owners and were never disappointed. We rented a car and found everything just a short drive away and the roads to be in very condition and easy to navigate. This place has everything you need for a relaxing trip to Costa Rica!"

"My wife and I honeymooned here for seven days. And oh my, what a great experience it was! Marga, Russ, and James were wonderful hosts who made our stay very comfortable-whether it involved doing laundry for us, allowing us to use the A/C at night (electricity in Costa Rica is painfully expensive, or telling us about their favorite places to eat. They were friendly yet gave us plenty of privacy. The property was very well-maintained and very beautiful. For us, the location was perfect for several reasons. First, the property is located in a very quiet, sleepy town along the western coast. It made for a great home base where we knew we could relax after a long day of adventuring. Second, the town wasn't invaded by massive hotel chains with obnoxious tourists. It wasn't a tourist-y town at all. It felt like you were experiencing real life in Costa Rica. No fancy malls or stores. Just a beautiful beach filled with surfers, and simple restaurants and markets. Third, the location is right in the center of Puntarena's coast, making it just a short 20 minute drive to surfer's paradise and waterfall adventures in Jaco or 40 mins drive to Manuel Antonio National Park, a beautiful park full of monkeys, iguanas, toucans, sloths, and three gorgeous beaches. The location is also only an hour and half from the capital, San Jose. We'd definitely stay here again!"

"A great place in a great little (non-touristy) town! The pictures don't do this place justice. Corners definitely WERE NOT cut when this beautiful place was built a short time ago. Great communication ahead of time with Alan and Javier was of great help while we were there (minor issues came up but they were quickly dealt with). The beach is a short walk (be aware that older people might have some challenges with the short hill to the property) and great for enjoying the surf and tide pools. (We had 19 that enjoyed the property from ages 5 - 75). I also HIGHLY recommend "Anna" for cooking services. Her and those that periodically helped her did a WONDERFUL job of cooking local meals. Based on our experience, I doubt anyone that wants a taste of the local culture will be disappointed. If you choose to not go with the "meal option", Los Almendros has amazing dinners and Surf Mi is a nice open air bar with very good food (open for at least lunch and dinner) too. Great day trips (Manuel Antonio, waterfall swimming and jumping, zip lining, fishing, etc.) are available for those that are willing to leave the house and Esterillos beach. (Some would say "Why"?!?!) All and all, an amazing experience for each of us that stayed."
