  • Excellent maintained condo in a great complex!

"Best vacation ever! Lots of activities to do as a family (horse backing riding, zip lining, ATVing, etc.) Great location with beautiful grounds and lots of restaurants near by and shops. The staff at the complex is excellent and friendly! The people in Costa Rica were friendly, helpful and great to be around."

  • Great Villa, Beach locations, and wonderful staff

"We got pick us up to the hotel traveling 4 ladies for a getaway wkn, we felt secure; the driver is a great guy, polite, with patience he stop a few times along the way as we ask him.. :) location was fantastic if you are looking to be close to the beach. They have a great view from the pool to the beach. Plenty of lounge chairs by the pool, towels that you can use at the pool or take with you to the beach, but you rather stay and pamper yourself at the villa.... the place is spectacular and well maintenance. I stayed at Villa 1 is breathtaking view, infinite pool and Jacuzzi so relaxing... The villas are modern and quite comfortable. Pillowtop beds, plenty of pillows, flatscreen tv, free wifi, and modern bathroom with a nice soft bathrobe waiting for you, is just inviting.... so romantic!! This was a girls trip so we had plan to go to the city and explore as well as horse riding, and zip lining, The manager for the property took care of everything; what an amazing guy always polite and ready to help us. One of my girlfriend was scare (you know being outside USA) but he make sure we had transportation all the time, we felt care and protect. Can't say enough about the staff! They went above and beyond! Can't put into words how the manager efforts and personal attention made us feel! Constantly greeted us with a smile and eagerness to assist with anything we needed! the staff simple gestures and consistent customer service across the board! I would love to come back!!!! Thank you so much for a great vacation!!!! Greissy Amorocho"

  • Beautiful Place to Relax in Tambor

"This was our second 2 week trip to Tambor, Costa Rica. We were 2 couples. The weather of course was absolutely beautiful. We were 2 couples and stayed in the Casita at the back of the property beside the beautiful refreshing pool. The landscaping is breathtaking! Property owner has done a fabulous job! The beach is just a 1 minute walk from the door, we enjoyed morning or late afternoon walks on the beach when the temperature and sun were a little less hot. You can walk for miles. The homeowners were there during our stay and were extremely accommodating and helpful to provide information and assistance when asked regarding contacts for tours, best places to shop for groceries, etc. We had a car which we would recommend but not a definite necessity, as you could book local excursions in Tambor which is a 5 minute walk from the property. There is also a small grocery store located in Tambor, as well as several restaurants which are all within walking distance. If you intend to consume alcohol, we strongly suggest you purchase it at the duty free shop prior to leaving the San Jose airport, as it is a lot cheaper there. Accommodations were very clean and well kept. The casita is not equipped with air conditioning, however, all rooms are equipped with ceiling fans (including the outdoor eating area) and we found this to be sufficient (at least during the month of February). The kitchen was well equipped and had all the necessities. It was a good location to go out on day trips to Montezuma, Mal Pais and Cobano. Lots of Howler monkeys and Macaws can be seen (and heard!) around the property. The property backs onto the main road used to travel from the ferry in Paquera to Malpais, Cobano and Montezuma. The only negative feature was that sometimes vehicular traffic could be a little loud early in the morning and late at night when vehicles were passing through coming or going to catch the ferry. The annual rodeo was on in Cobano during our stay which more than likely added to the volume of traffic during our stay. After a couple of nights when we got totally relaxed and into vacation mode, we seemed to tune this out! If you're looking for a very relaxing and slower paced place to stay away from the busier populated areas such as Montezuma and Malpais, this is the perfect spot! We will definitely be returning!"

  • two life time freinds, Mike and Bob

"1st Costa Rica Trip for Bob and I and it met all of our expectations the owner Eileen was such a big help with prep that we actually went on are own without the extra costs of tour guide add on costs. The reviews were accurate and the accomadations were excellent. We had such a great time that we changed our travel plans and stayed in the rain forest (rental car) and drove through the country. The Sky Trek zip line at Arenal Volcano is a must, we also entered the public access and enjoyed the hot springs at no cost. The food was out of this world everywhere in the country, but agree with Eillen on her Green Room in Jaco, get the special, salid with Tuna steak on top. Very special to all of the Day Star Employee's especially Eric at the Gate, Anthony our boat captain and first class crew, we made an under water movie of a sailfish that Bob caught one of many fish, and Eileen for all the information that really was the key to our whole experience. we also got special tickets for a return trip that is in the future. Big Thanks Mike"
